  • @felatioable That's Lindsay, have met her in person tonight and she IS very attractive, so IS Raissa and the rest of the band really! :P What a performance! mesmerizing...

  • RIP Mark : (

  • So, that was the unforeseen tragedy. Mark Horwood died.:0(

  • who was Mark Howard?

  • keyboard player. who was the main composer. who tragically committed suicide

  • the album is brilliant. i wish i could write just magnificent music :)

  • fab. Saw them at the Secret garden party. very very good

  • Fell in love with them at Latitude 2009....a feast of musical pleasure for the ears, just stunning...

  • I also saw them at Glastonbury and Wonderland is a beautiful song.

  • Saw them on the Avalon stage at Glastonbury 2009..... Truly Fabulous!

  • Love this group - such a feast for the ears - BI'm thinking Paris, circus, 1950s big band- just great!

  • Yeah even a bit of Bjork lingering round the edges too. The album is breathtaking in its playful melodic orchestration. They deserve to be huge.

  • Lovely very different makes me think of when I was a little girl ahhhh!

  • brilliant song, love the mummers!

  • Thankyouu :)

  • Does anyone know the Instrument she is playing at the start of the perfomance ?

    thankyou : )

  • I think its a toy mouth organ. She says she likes toy instruments!

  • I think it is a Melodica as used also by Lisa Hannigan who will be on Later in a couple of weeks . She also uses Harmoniums ,stylophone ,trumpets . strings and glockenspiels but in a different way to this so the sound and stlye is not the same .

  • It's a Melodica

  • its called a melodica!!

  • I thought these and The Specials were the highlights. She looks a bit like Lily Allen and sounds a bit like Nicole Atkins. Both plusses imo. Loved it.

  • absolutely fab..first saw this on friday sitting bored in jail..lifted the whole night !

  • Hadn't heard of The Mummers before later with Jools, pleased they got to play to a wider audience, very talented musicians and a breath of fresh air.

  • This gets better & better with each listen!! Fabulous musicians playing fabulous music........pinch me, is it still 2009? not a trace of a sample anywhere!!

ps. if you like this, you'll love Bic Runga, try her out on You Tube.

  • Fabulous stuff...so unusual and fascinating, truly original. I hope all their stuff is half as good as this !

  • Thanks to Jools, I will be buying this for certain... I love this style of vocal...

  • Could be a 70's James Bond song played to a gliding silhouetted beauty?Maybe, apart from the circus bits at the start and end.

  • love this x

  • love this song!

  • I feel I am in Paris. Very refreshing. Love the sound and keep playing it. Keeping in time with our spring season. Good luck for the future.

  • very refreshing and origin. makes you drift in a european setting......

  • Indeed. Can't stop singing wonderland (badly)

  • Once heard, one tends to hum it all day.Quite haunting

  • Fantastic band with a cool european sound, could easily be the soundtrack an early 70s french film..
