  • will one of these eat my fiddler crabs?

  • They probably would, yes.

  • Hey can I use uv light for these fishes? Because white stuff glows under uv light as we know it so I thought it'll be cool to have a white crayfish and uv light. Pls reply me of what you think on whether it's okay or not.. Thanks :D

  • I know they have lights in clubs with a UV content to make whites glow but I'm not sure they are available for aquariums. I certainly wouldn't use a standard UV bulb used in sterilisers as it will blind any creatures in the tank.

  • She/he is gorgeous! I have two myself, White Claws and Pearl! They're still pretty young, both only about 3 inches long! :)

  • Can i put 2 of them in one 10 gallon or will they fight because i already have one in the 10 gallon so can i put another one in there please reply

  • Most people keep them singly as they do fight with each other. I would just stick to one personally.

  • Can anyone tell me how big they get and what they ear

  • I think they get about 6" and will eat just about anything they can catch. Algae wafers and frozen crustacean food is what we fed them on in the shop.

  • @myPs3RuLeZ123 cucumber slices, lettuce, feeder fish(aquarium fish also if they get lucky enough to catch one), and mine personally willl eat mysis shrimp

  • can they live in 10 gallons

  • They should be OK with that.

Bear in mind that they will take any opportunity to eat fish.

  • @pondguru so do you think they would eat a cory catfish or a bristlenose pleco

  • More than likely, yes.

  • Its a Clarkii

  • Clarkii it is - I updated the description - thanks, man.

  • @pondguru No Problem :)) I have one in my Aquarium. they are great animals!

  • Just bought one of these. He's really but keeks eating my plants,

I also have a small cave for him, but he's not going in it. he only goes to the back of the tank under the filter ( this is also where he poops ) and climbs up the heating device.

Do you have any tips for me how I get him to live in his little cave because I think it fits him really good. Should I put his food in the cave or is that not a good idea?

And does his pooping mean that that area is his home?

    Hope you understand me :)

  • To be honest I don't know too much about this species but we haven't had much joy getting them in caves. They seem to like deep gravel to dig back into.

I don't think it matters where you feed them but I would probably avoid feeding in a cave as any uneaten food won't be too easy to remove.

  • DAT CLAW

  • SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKKK ;)

  • wow nice ! cool hw much for one? in uk?

  • We had these in quite a while ago. I think that they were about £12 each

  • Any ideas how I can get mine to stop hiding? He just sits in one corner of the tank and digs down into the gravel, I never have the light on but I didn't think that would be a problem.. Yours looks very active.

  • I don't know why ours would be active - maybe because there are a couple in the tank.

  • @SmellsLikeFish44 erm i have a very good way to make it active . ! add a few fishes make the water livlier and keep the water warm . warm waters make them active ^^ feed regularly

  • Pretty cool!

  • wow they are reaally cool!! My crayfish escaped yesterday..but he is safe and well now!

  • I had an escapee at the shop once. I walked in just as a blue crayfish was walking out the door - I just looked at it and said "what the hell is this fella doing on the floor?" - It had escaped out of a tiny slit in the lid of the tank.

  • @pondguru they really are escape artists we have to leave a shelf wedged in the top of our tank so he doesnt escape, wejust finished decorating and left it off for a while and he got out.One night I woke to a rustling sound and found him sat in a bag of pampers!

  • cool animals. I remember i once tried to have some in my piranha fishtank. I catched them outside in a park. It looked all well but the next day the piranha had turned them around and ate them from downs side out. But these seem albinos or some. Cool video tho.

  • Albinos or not, when Piranha are hungry they will eat anything.
