@Felhaven cant' actually. The reason is because most of the oil that are close to us are drained out, but if we go closer to the north of the border, there are rich vespine gas/oil therefore that is why they drain in out that far.

This oil price increase is affecting everyone, business, households, cost of living is increasing dramatically. I guess its time to invest in a oil company? as for gas prices if canada is anything like the us then most of the cost per gallon/liter is a result of taxes. I'm sure one day we will have something better than oil ( ethenol or biodesel or just electric) but for now we are stuck with it.

And yaa, the antartica has one of the largest oil in the region. They also stated that once the ice melts they can drill more as there are other hidden places. If you want to "blame" someone for this problem you wouldn't blame the workers or even the company involved in the drilling (British Petroleum). You would need to blame the thousands of people who voted to "Drill for oil in the Gulf of Mexico". You're pointing the finger at the wrong person.
