Google Aljazeera for "No end in sight for oil in the Gulf of Mexico - Fresh oil seepages raise questions about further problems with BP's damaged oil well."
OH! Fucken come on! The shrimpers down in that gulf have been destroying that water for the good part of 60 years. Dredging all kinds of by-catch and killing it all. 10 pounds of shrimp and 200 pounds of by-catch!!!!! Oil drilling never killed 1/1000th of the oceans creatures like commercial fishing. GET FUCKING REAL!
Each barrel goes for around $100 a barrel as of this time last year, saying that the price increased, that means it is over $500,000,000, yes, half of one billion, in oil had spilled out into the gulf. Talk about pay cuts.
Do you ever drive a car? Take a bus? Ride in an airplane? If so, that STHU! Your part of the problem too!!! Blame it on yourself too. Accidents happen and people are not perfect. Never have been and never will be. Everyone is all disgusted?? Be disgusted with yourself then. If you want to help. Drive an electric car, that gets it power from wind turbines.
And this finally substantiates what so many of us who were directly involved and observing have said from the beginning. In spite of efforts by BP, governmental agencies, and the oil industry to soft-pedal it, the fact is that it may be centuries before the ecosystem of the Gulf fully recovers, IF it recovers at all.
Thanks, BP, for hurting our planet..... worse than any human entity in history has ever done.....
AND KEEP IN MIND FOLKS....THAT 5 MILLION BARRELS OF OIL WAS NOT CLEANED UP....THEY PUT POISONED CHEMICALS ON IT TO MAKE IT SINK TO THE BOTTOM. ITS STILL OUT THERE.
NOW IF THEY HAVE HUNDREDS OF DRILLED WELLS CAPPED OFF UNDER THE SEA,,,,AND THEY HAVE AN EARTH QUAKE.......WOULDNT BUST OPEN THOSE CAPS AND MAKE A BIG FUCKIN MESS THAT NO ONE COULD STOP WITH ANY AMOUNT OF DICKIN AROUND?????????????????????????????
@artman4444 you are acutally wrong, oil companies employees lots of people, they create many jobs all around the world. Also the jobs that people do in the oil company are paid above average. Oil companies only make 7 cents per dollar, it is the lowest profit margin company in the world. Soo really they actually do care.
We really fked up, because of their stupidity and slow reaction we are all facing the consequences like never before :(
And especially because of Canada Post on strike, food prices in Canada is gonna go up dramatically cuz of no bee's being packaged and set by Canada Post, so no poly :(
Wouldn't it have been nice if the government hadn't made them drill that far out? If they were closer to shore they could have just send down divers to fix it.
@Felhaven cant' actually. The reason is because most of the oil that are close to us are drained out, but if we go closer to the north of the border, there are rich vespine gas/oil therefore that is why they drain in out that far.
@hangene92 vespine? please tell me that this is just something i have not heard of yet because accordeing to google you are refering to a gas either made from wasps or a resource from starcraft.
@Felhaven LOL i think i got it from starcraft. Lmaoooo, but really. I learned it in science class, there is such thing. But there isnt really much resources near us, therefore they drill it out far away. Saudi Arabia has lots of oil but I think there is some kind of political laws. I just wish they can fix this as soon as possible. Soo much things are in danger and many people can face severe problems.
@hangene92 google image search for gulf of mexico oil fields. they are actualy quite extensive. i live in florida and this is a very hot debate for us (at least when gas prices start climbing) in many places you can drill just a mile off the cost. its simply a matter of balancing the need for oil against the potential damage to our tourism. we actualy have alot of oil in the usa if you include oil shale. google image searcg :oil shale reserves see second image in
@Felhaven Hey, I just saw the images. Yeahh USA does have lots of oil reserves but I am quite sure there are much more towards near the North Pole. This oil price increase is affecting everyone, business, households, cost of living is increasing dramatically. I guess its time to invest in a oil company? Anyways, I just hope they solve this crisis, gas prices are at its highest here in Canada.
@hangene92 oh definatly. Canada has use shale reserves, oil too. Actualy Canada is the US's main supplier.
as for gas prices if canada is anything like the us then most of the cost per gallon/liter is a result of taxes. I'm sure one day we will have something better than oil ( ethenol or biodesel or just electric) but for now we are stuck with it.
I read once that antartica should have huge oil deposits too.
@Felhaven gas and oil here cost much more here in Canada than in the US. Soo many people here are being affected by this increase in price. I just hope the government will solve this issue. And yaa, the antartica has one of the largest oil in the region. They also stated that once the ice melts they can drill more as there are other hidden places. It says it will be enough for many years to come. Btw, are you in America? Out of curiousity which political leaders are you looking forward towards?
So, uh, what happened to all the oil? Last major media report I saw, mysterious oil-eating bacteria are eating it. I wonder where those bacteria are coming from and how they supposedly migrated out of their supposedly natural environment? Oh, and the shrimp are supposedly safe to eat, say the commercials. No woman of childbearing age should touch those shrimp.
before humans there was tar, oil and smoke everywhere, this is not really a big issue as the earth as a whole just for the few beaches that are effected.
@StinkyWater28 Our grandparents used to DREAM about nuvlear power, my grandfather told me about how proud he was when he read about the first sucessess nuclear physicists were making. For him and his generation it was the key to end all powerty, all misery, the undepletable energy source that will solve all of humanities problems. Never give up on a dream, we're in this as a whole and one day we will be able to handle nuclear power, and those days will mark the golden age!
Yup humans are fucking up all the time but doubt we will go extinct no matter what shit goes down we are like an annoying virus and hard to get rid of.

@StinkyWater28 Global Warming is no Man-made phenomenon, it's an inavoidable predecessor of a glacial epoch. Buy some warm clothes and get that sand out of your vagina, it's only gonna make things worse for you when the ice comes...
Lets see... if they invented UnderWater Duct Tape, this could have been fixed alot faster, thinking ahead, if they DO have Underwater Duct Tape... Then they are just fucking slow.
Let me clarify, wording on that was poor, concrete is composted of aggregates, water, air and cement the cement reacts with water to form crystals that branch out and "stick" to the aggregates (there are a few different kinds, coarse which is typically composed of 1" - 6" gravel depending on the application, fine aggregates which are typically sand sized and super fine, which are typically only used for roadway applications) the air inside it determines its ability to crystalize
Cement is a crystal, it forms just fine under pressure, concrete as a mixture is fantastic at distributing it, too, that's why we use it in applications like this. The cleanup crew did a shitty job with it, this work is absolutely possible.

Then stupid science comes along and has to prove it's 62k barrels per day.
How can we continue to let oil companies ruin our planet, while people are able to see the 62k number?
