Arab horses in a hot climate have relatively short hair - it doesn't feel pinchy, it feels very slippery - you need to be in balance and grip with your lower leg to avoid falling off when riding bareback in water.

It's very nice to see someone swimming with their horses in the right way. You spread your bodyweight throughout the horse, so it is easier for him to swim. Almost everyone else sitting up straight, and when all comes bodyweight in one place, making it difficult for the horse to swim.

Very few other horses would have gone into the water like Monsoon at 0:30 - great riding from Barbora, even without any reins!

If the reigns are too tight, which I don't believe they are, there is most likely a reason for it. Perhaps to make sure she has the ability to keep the horses head above the water if something bad went wrong.

Than again, I'm not a horse expert, I just ride them from time to time. :P

I had the privilege of swimming one of the other horses -except we both got knocked over by a big wave and didn't look nearly as beautiful as Barbora and Monsoon.

I totally disagree with the comments about tight reins - I have ridden with Barbora - she's a very relaxed rider who has a great relationship with her horses - heavy contact is not something she'd want to be associated with.

You know, I totally enjoyed the video.....it was great. The one thing I was thinking when watching was, "Damn, holding those reins a bit tight...".

Then I read the other comment and said, "Yup, wasn't my imagination".

Otherwise a great video but ease up on your horse's mouth a bit....should only take subtle direction not full tension.
