  • That chair Chiaki is sitting on... isn't it Chizu's? It would give the song a whole new perspective, if you think about it.

  • Bokurano is interesting anime

  • This song makes everything better for me. "I have no choice but to pretend that I am a warrior who knows no fear." That line, is my line to live by. In this world of hate, evil, cynicism and cruelty... This song will get me through it. For what else can I do, but become the warrior without fear?

  • @Akersar It's fairly depressing all the way through, but that's no problem. Watch it anyway, it's amazing.

  • Nice song. Can anyone tell me if the anime is good? I might watch it

  • @Akersar Nice! classic!! You must watch it!

  • @Akersar It's really good but is depressing. Like, REALLY depressing. :S

  • @IchimotoKun Like depressing in Clannad depressing with happy ending, or just depressing everything?

  • @Akersar That honestly depends on your definition of a happy ending, though technically I think it was happy enough

  • Just the sound of heaven.

    It's wonderfull.

    I like it

  • I love that song...

  • Reminds me of the Matrix, every time I hear it...strange. But it certainly fits.

  • Still havent seen the anime but the manga was just so freaking sad, man i couldnt even bring myself to watch the anime. WHY DID IT HAVE TO HAPPEN TO THEM WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. but the story was just so amazing it actually makes you care about the characters.

  • 3:17 that looked REALLLY FUN.

I love her voice! It's so pretty!

  • why does this remind me of Ghost in the Shell? I've heard it before but definitely not from Bokurano

  • ATTENTION DISLIKERS.

    Look at the dislike bar.

    Now look at your penis.

    NO DIFFERENCE.

  • @Brittonbubba137 Nice, great way to shut down the haters ^_^ little do they realize, its true.

  • @Saskona22 IKR?

  • 60 people sneezed while attempting to hit the like button

  • Wow

  • @TheTeresu Wait, You mean that the japanese music has stopped?? 90 degrees is straight up, They're not moving anymore :(

  • 60 People are uninstalled

  • Music wasnt meant to be this deep and beautifull.... i got chills all over !

  • Her voice is awesome!!~ :)

  • she looks a bit too happy singing this song...

  • this song make me ccry every time :"( i love bokurano it was my 1st anime...i watched it when i was 9...lol

  • Soloque and this.

  • so...anyone know why the title of the song is Uninstall? nice song btw

  • @1GunKnight watch anime "bokurano" and then you know why this song is called in this way...

  • @1GunKnight An educated guess would be that it's a euphemism for dying, i.e. you are removed from life.

  • i start playing this all around my house when i'm uninstalling programs >:)

  • เพราะจังเลย

  • I wanna learn it 2 bro! This song is freakin' awesome *0*

  • This song- THIS SONG- Is one of two reasons I'm learning Japanese!

The second is the Animal Crossing Movie. I love the two first games. Oh crud, the song ended! *Punches the replay button*

  • @Cutefirewolf

How far are you? Begun with Kanji yet?

  • @piip4 Not yet, but I sort of had to stop learning japanese because the dog stepped on the box containing the disks I was learning japanese with. So... yeah... Any suggestions for other ways to learn Japanese?

  • @Cutefirewolf

Why would the disks be on the floor for the dog to step on anyway, lol?

    In any case, unlucky...

I've memorized about 500 kanji, but I only use a free program called "anki". If you haven't tried it already, it's really a useful program to memorize kanji with. But it can also work with any type of so-called "flash-card" facts. Like grammar training with example sentences. It has a lot of resources for japanese.

  • I listening it each day at least 200 times ( Very good song.

  • This song really fills me with so much emotion... I can' stop listening to it!!

  • Am I messed up for finding this song and the manga version of this series to be UPLIFTING? Because oh my god <3

  • I see this anime/manga as Evangelion, but leaning more towards depressing as all hell, instead of the "what the fuck did I just watch/read" that Evangelion gave me.

It also feels like the complete opposite of Angel Beats.

  • ANIME IST GAY !!!!!!!

  • @dezireGOTHIGH There is a lot of anime for homosexuals. I'm not entirely sure, because I haven't watched it, but the anime which has this as OP is surely not gay. Or it is, I have no idea.

There is a lot, LOT of hentai that is for straight guys, though. I can suggest you some if you want to. To begin with, Boku no Pico is an amazing hentai, I promise you, I honestly promise you.

  • @JinGitaxias Err... Forget him. He is just a french gamer and smoker with nothing better to do than troll around. He needs to do that and headshot ppl in Call of "testosterone" duty, Modern "retard" Warfare 2 to feel a men. l0l. He may not reply you because i think his english is worse than mine and can't understand you or 'cause he is masturbating thinking about MW3.

  • @JinGitaxias What do you talking about ?! This Anime isn´t gay and how can a series be gay? Okay, there´s alot of Yaoi Anime, but these are love dramas.

...and yes, Boku no Pico is a "gay" Hentai ^_^

  • @masterofdie The person I commented to said "ANIME IST GAY !!!!!!!" Exactly as I quoted it. Hence I clarified that there is a lot of anime for homosexuals and I'm not sure about this one but I don't think it is.

Boku no Pico is the "trolling anime of /a/" as I'd put it myself, that's why I told the person I commented on to watch it even though it actually is pretty homosexual. (Due to everything)

That's what I meant and I think you would have understood if you read dezire's comment.

  • @JinGitaxias Person is not the term i would use with casual trolls :P

    ... Maybe... Dung Beetle?

  • @Beniiro But he's still a person, whether he doesn't like things you or I likes, the same goes for everybody.

  • @JinGitaxias This is the internet. Being nice means to be trolled at any moment. Better to be not so gentle and polite. Expect the worst. I'm saying this for your best... Or maybe i'm trolling you. Who knows? :3

  • @Beniiro I'm practically born with internet, and knows such things. I just don't care whether I'm being trolled or not. Actually, I've become pretty used to people trying to troll me.

And being sceptic to everything makes you less able to being trolled.

  • Beautiful

  • I'm man and I will not complain if i had such voice lmao

  • It seems to me like all these people who think that Bokurano was just a sadistic, pointless massacre missed the point. I've only finished reading the manga so i can't really organize my thoughts on this but to me it was like facing your own mortality kind of stuff, especially after the first few battles... Well, i could probably explain better what i mean by that, but i don't really feel like writing walls of text.

So i'm just gonna comment the song: AMAZING! That chorus is just too beautiful

  • The first time i heard this song, even thought it was up beat and just a small portion of the song, it gave me chills. I found this video, read the lyrics. Now I know why. :o

  • 3 words: league of legends.

  • Que hermosa canción. me emociona...

  • each time i get mad trying to uninstall some fucking program i put this song on and cry , WHY WON'T YOU JUST INSTALL !

  • I looked this up because I was listening to Slam Jam Remixes and found Uninslam. After listening to this, I promptly went on to watch Bokurano.

    That worked out fairly well!

  • in regards to the "unrealisticness" of anime, it doesn't detract from the messages they try to impart to the viewers; not in the form of lectures, but through the lives and actions of the characters, however outlandish they may be. Angel Beats, for example. It's set in "Heaven", but the point of the anime is to demonstrate the value of life and the fact that ours could end at any moment; Bokurano kind of says the opposite, that life is unfair, and that no matter how hard we try, we are helpless

  • @Starwarsgeek12 I think it's more that we'll all die but at the end you can choose how you're going to be remembered

  • @Starwarsgeek12 yeah, but kinda in a lame way. The focus on one character is just too short, one twenty minute episode just can't do justice for an existential questions. This - and the lame scifi background - renders the show childish, empty and boring.

I hate how everyone compares Bokurano to Evangelion, which btw has the same message to tell, and a similiar setting, only does it a million times better. Even with the screwed up ending.

  • @Thyressarexus I agree with the lame part. But still, the story is not unrealistic, quite the opposite, was one of the most realistic plots I've ever seen. And you can't expect something very realistic with mecha. The story in the anime is very diluted compared to the manga and I had the feeling they changed the best parts into some silly anime cliches. If you would compare the manga with NGE, it catches up a lot. I love the manga, but the anime was indeed boring.

    But this song is awesome!

  • @norikosan89 Yeah, I find myself listening to the song quite often.

  • @norikosan89 yup a iagree, the song is indeed very catchy.

  • @Thyressarexus NGE? Someone shoot me, I'm already depressed~ That's all I have to say.

  • @Starwarsgeek12 Couldn't agree more. And it's not like that kind of expression through fantasy is something limited to "low brow" stuff like anime. "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'brien, something now regarded as "high literature" n such employs exactly what yo just said to get its point across. Just because it's animated and in japanese doesn't mean it can't be deep.

  • @Starwarsgeek12 Whoa, whoa, we are helpless? Absolutely not. (Major Spoilers, stop reading here if you don't want to be spoiled, I'm serious) The children saved their entire universe through their actions and their decision to participate in the battles knowing it would mean their end. The series was about coming to terms with their personal troubles, embracing a newfound hope and perseverance and working toward something great; something nearly all of them accepted eventually.

  • @Starwarsgeek12 you are right. But many people talk shit about everything if it not realistic.I think that when you watch anime , movie or playing a videogame you must not search for realisticness. If you want realisticness go to the real world and you will find shit most of all.The art is created for distract the humans from they lifetime problems.

  • 58 people uninstalled their windows

  • What a Pretty Song, i cant get it out of my Head!!!

  • Can't believe she's 42 years old now . Yet her voice can reach that good

  • Every time I hear this song I pray for another See-Saw album. It should come pretty soon. They seem to be on a ten-year cycle.

    Chiaki & Yuki forever.

  • If vocaloid Meiko, she would sound just like this. O___O

  • @ToBeAPrince Check out her real voice provider they sound the same though the voice provider sounds a bit more clearer :)

  • @SubsEnglish I've heard the actual voice provider for Meiko already. XD But yes! Her voice is more clearer than Ishikawa. Although I love all of their voices. *_* (enviously listens to them)

  • @ToBeAPrince Well I was saying clear than Meiko xD but maybe she is clearer than Ishikawa :P

  • @SubsEnglish Oh~. Woops. XD I meant that Ishikawa's voice has a different quality to her voice which I like. *u* Most voice providers end up having clearer voices than the vocaloids so they sounds different. Not to mention they are real people. =v=b By the way...you do eng translations!? *A*

  • @ToBeAPrince yeah I've been doing a few vocaloid songs, but I have no subscribers XD

  • @SubsEnglish Not anymore, honeh! *__*b

  • @ToBeAPrince Thanks for the sub :D

  • @SubsEnglish I know how ya feel, i have like 4 subs and 1 of them has their account banned, and the other is my mom, and the other one barely watches my vids, so that leaves one true fan. o well, my english dubs might not be that good after all... but i love the songs.

  • The vocals in the chorus are so damn heart wrenching it hurts.

  • Chiaki Ishikawa, is one of my most favorite Japanese Singers, besides Yui and UVERWorld... (How ever it spelled), SHe is so amazing, And she soulds alot like a more human VOCALOID MEIKO(:

  • And the war part: Isn't obvious? People who doesn't know each other must kill between them. They even believe at the beginning the other side is not human. And there are the schemers, who began everything and are getting all the benefits, while the others lose their lives. That's war. At least nowadays. Real World isn't cute.

But you're right, the animation is not that great, and the plot becomes... Too strange... I may read the manga some day.

  • This song's amazing. :3

  • I found this song while watching a MAD of HetaOni, with all the blood and Italy's depression, it's actually.. ; A ; ..

But it's a really pretty song.

  • @VentusBDaPlayer I know it made me cry

  • man this is when its a good time for an amv I have to bring this shit life I want to see the shit for my self with the anime so sad

  • @shinra46 yes, consol gamers are jealous because the PC gaming world is vastly superior in terms of titles, playability, an exponentially nicer online community...wait...where exactly do PC games become superior to consoles? No, wait, you said PC GAMERS are superior, even used the term "master race". Ah! I get it now! So PC gamers have a superior attitude, sense of pride, snobbiness, and the rates at which they condemn systems is also superior. Thanks for clearing that up :)

  • ME: Hey, i just got myself Duke Nukem Forever.

    People: UNINSTALL UNINSTALL!

  • "I have no choice but to pretend that I am a warrior who knows no fear"

  • @ProfoundDarkness1 hahahaha good one

  • BRB uninstalling windows.

  • i love her hair <3

  • after watching bokurano it makes sense now. at the end when she disappeares she was transported to zearth. thats really sad D:

  • anyone who only knows this song because of vocaloid, re-evaluate your life because the anime that this song goes to

    is possibly

    the best thing ever.

  • I Would Eat Her Out lol

    This Song Is Awesome

  • I had chills, this song is awesome.

  • Such a sweet song

    It get to you,Its deep..

  • I never thought a real person could sing this song...

  • Beautiful....

  • Now, I remove vocaloid2, T_T

  • I have seen the anime. The lyrics are related so much that it hurts...

If you want to see an anime that makes you think about the value of life, see it. But not in the middle of a depression. The tear jerking is massive.

  • @Beniiro I know right? I watched it in the middle of a depression. :P

  • @Beniiro Do you know where I can watch it online?

  • @KuroAlis Google it

  • @Beniiro Yes. I actually think it is the most depressing anime ever made. The only other one that comes close is Grave of the Fireflies, imo.

  • @ScutigeraColeoptrata You're wrong, Grave of the Fireflies is not depressing, is SOUL SMASHING. 'Cause is based in a real historical crisis, the defeated Japan. That makes you think "How much little kids suffered such cruel fate just because people is opportunist and selfish?".

And wich studio you say that made the film? Goddamn Ghibli studios? Creators of Chihiro, Nausica and other classics with great happy endings? They definitly hated Japan and America for the goddamn war.

  • @Beniiro While Chiaki is a magnificent singer, the anime was not so good. I watched half the series before I just skimmed through to see how it ended. Rather than a analysis of the value of life, we see a handful of mostly innocent children with depressing back stories die one by one as they fight for their world. If they win, their world is saved at the cost of thousands of casualties as well as their own life and SPOILER ALERT!!! destroying another universe. The anime was cruel and pointless.

  • @CopyRezo36 I have read in the wiki that the anime differs from the manga in very important aspects. I don't know what is the difference, but i can tell you what the author what to talk about: Personal Sacrifice and something very pointless: War.

The boys are forced to die for his world, so they do it or everything is lost. And they must understand what about this world they care and want to protect.

  • @Beniiro Sacrifice was definitely a theme but how much they do for what they get in return destroys the significance. So they save their own planet, so what? They die before even reaching adulthood, leaving behind their devastated families. They never defeat the bad guys and each win requires they murder billions of innocents. Can that be called a victory? I'm not sure how anyone can regard an anime about children playing Russian roulette until everyone is dead as anything but sadistic.

  • @CopyRezo36 Yup, that's meaningless for you. They were in a situation of absolut injustice and they take the resolution not to stop the tragedy, but to keep on with it and beat the challenge. You're completly right, that was too much sacrifices for so low retribution. Beautiful, isn't?

  • @Beniiro I'm detecting sarcasm... I wasn't suggesting that they could feasibly defeat someone who was basically god of the multiverse but there was nothing artistic about their hopeless struggle and inevitable demise. Considering they had Koyemshi, a character who just stood by to laugh at the misery of the other characters, I have to wonder if the author just hated children or people in general.

  • @Beniiro the lyrics are THE ANIME STORY! and yah, never watch it in the middle of a depression, but u have to watch it before u die!

  • @Beniiro what for a anime ???

  • @Zwerg11880 Lulz!? Sorry, i'm spanish. I can't answer questions without a little more context or clauses. To be clear, dude, i don't get what are you asking me exactly.

CopyRezo36, i wasn't sarcastic. I was cynic. The beauty of the anime is all the sorrow they must suffer senseless and how they confront it with his few forces. It's a cruel anime that you must watch without any hope for a happy end to enjoy it.

The sad thing is, it got a happy end. Almost...

    And... The damns song rocks.

  • @Beniiro Ähm sry i mean the Name of the Anime ^^ Sorry but thanls for the other great answer

  • @Zwerg11880 Uh, sorry. Good question. We were talking about Bokurano. If you like tear jerking animes i recommend you it.

  • @Beniiro yes i love this art of anime :-D

  • @Beniiro The manga was so depressing that the director hated it. The anime is a toned down version. Read the manga for greater impact.

  • ... the hell? The anime did not do such a thing and neither did the manga. The story is about the insignificance of a life and the pain of making an impossible choice and even the anime did not do a very good job of that. The manga on the other hand does it perfectly.

  • @KeitaKuhn Uh, sorry. My interpretation. If the author says that's the message, then you're right. :)

  • EPIC

  • I somehow do not clearly understand why the lyrics are so depressive. I mean I am aware of psychological atmosphere of brutal rivalry and competition where if you do not do good in school your only choice is to study abroad and if your family is not rich enough you are pretty screwed and in most cases this results in suicides - thats probably why Japan leads the charter of suicides. But why would one think about commiting suicide if he cant be replaced? I dont get that part of lyrics too...

  • @koalabunga I think because it was written for the anime Bokurano

  • @42cosmonauts Well I have read whats the brief plot and still do not understand. Any explanation?

  • @koalabunga I haven't watched the anime myself, so I don't think i'm one to answer. From what I've read, each child has a turn of piloting a robot to fight against earth's enemy. Each time a child pilots the robot, the robot eats their life-force and even if they win, they will die. So in the battle, the child piloting is contemplating life and trying to become content with dying because they have to defend the earth. These kids are like Kamikaze, I think. My explanation is probably bad lol.

  • @42cosmonauts Makes a little sense though, thanks!

  • @42cosmonauts That is full of spoilers

  • Wow, no wonder I was being linked to Kill Bill movies. Chiaki Ishikawa- Chiaki Kuriyama (plays Gogo Yubari) :|

  • Che's an awesome singer , check out her opening for kamisama , I was like wtf , she can sing in anyway , all the see saw songs are sung by her too , Very versatile voice

  • I love this song <3

(For those who like VOCALOID, doesn't she sound similar to MEIKO? Sorry for having a weaboo moment. B| )
