Which is good, there's a good amount of players before the game is released, even if some of the people made 10+ accounts and hoarding them. That's probably like 2-3k people ready for it to be released. If rs2006 fails, I'll probably give up on waiting for a perfect remake.
By the time the new wild was released and trade limit was back, all this overpowered shit killed pking for good. Nothing can beat the days with the pixled graphics, epic soundtrack, old animations, random events, hitpoints, actually having to work for your first 1mil gp, awesome pking, seeing noobs get killed by the evil chicken and looting their items and overall great times

You know Jagex didn't listen to us then but then listened to us in Jan 2011. But once we got the new trade, look what has happend! The economy is terrible, bots are EVERYWHERE, rich people get richer and the poor can't get rich, AND to top it all the community is full of scammers and untrustworthy people.
05-07 were some of the greatest years of gaming I have ever had. When everything used to be original. The friends I met, whom although I've quit since almost an year now, I will never forget. The clans, the environment, the people. The PK community. I wish we could time travel back, it was indeed, an escape from reality.

Everyone shut the fuck up, Wildy is back now so technically what you call runescape being "ruined" is not true. Over 1000+ are in a world at once. And with there being not even 200 worlds, that means that more than 1000 are in a world at once in every world, if there is 200k people playing.

Even with free trade back, RuneScape is still not the same, since there are price guides etc... Sadly enough they should get rid of the GE if they want RuneScape to return to its "glory days".

@Kevinyock Before the collapse of free trade the first time we had to use the forums to make purchases which was absolutely fine, however with that said there are a lot more players around now so the forums would be packed to the point that it would be unusable, so if they did remove the GE (which they absolutely wont) they'd have to expand the forums greatly.

Back in the days when if you needed something you actually had to go out there and find it on your own, now all you need to do is go to the GE and you've got it. It promoted talking in the game to try and find what you needed, now with the GE no one really needs to talk ever. The GE was nice for its simplicity but it nerfed the game and made it way less fun.

If you are reading this, then get back on rs and pk again. As of 2-1-11 (The day Runescape returned to life) the wilderness and free trade is back online. Be careful though, since many things have been updated and jagex is yet killed runescape even further. I don't know how people kept playing, maybe its because they didn't know?
And yes, jagex had good reasons to remove the wild. They couldn't put in awsome things they had, such as the minigames (F.O.G.) So think agin

People complain that people hit extremely high in the wildy, but why complain? If it's possible to hit uber high, then the people bitching obviously lack skill to hit high. I can't pk and I can't kill Revenants and Green Drags... The old wildy sucks. I can't even go there without been scared that I lose my ss. Yes, I risk... Bounty hunter +1 item worlds and revs in the wildy + green drags ftw!!!!! 10 December RuneScape became better, but Ruinedscape came back like a half year ago..

(miss dueling [real dueling in the wild 1 on 1 no tele] on world 3) even though they give it back to us some of us just wont look back, (miss duel arena staking p hat) rs just never the same after that. the wild the pking is what we all train for without it, there's nothing to look forward too. I started playing in 2004. all those people who thought 'free trade 'd be cool' did not really know what they were thinking. Free trade ist the dumbest change from RS in years I miss the times where you really had to fight for you life. Fight for you own bronze sword. Ohh, I was happy when i bought my first rune platebody. Really? G.E. ? It ruined the game. I felt old, dumb. The young players catched up early enough... Only those who played for all those years, know how to fight to live in RS.

@Kevinyock Before the collapse of free trade the first time we had to use the forums to make purchases which was absolutely fine, however with that said there are a lot more players around now so the forums would be packed to the point that it would be unusable, so if they did remove the GE (which they absolutely wont) they'd have to expand the forums greatly.

Back in the days when if you needed something you actually had to go out there and find it on your own, now all you need to do is go to the GE and you've got it. It promoted talking in the game to try and find what you needed, now with the GE no one really needs to talk ever. The GE was nice for its simplicity but it nerfed the game and made it way less fun.

If you are reading this, then get back on rs and pk again. As of 2-1-11 (The day Runescape returned to life) the wilderness and free trade is back online. Be careful though, since many things have been updated and jagex is yet killed runescape even further. I don't know how people kept playing, maybe its because they didn't know?
And yes, jagex had good reasons to remove the wild. They couldn't put in awsome things they had, such as the minigames (F.O.G.) So think agin
