Dalton only played Bond twice cos then the franchise owners, Cubby Brocoli and Ford et. al. has much legal wranglinings, it was ages before another Bond film was made, Dalton just got fed up of waitng around and by then the world had changed much. Its a shame that these things held Dalton back, Licence to Kill was a fantastic film. He plays the serious Bond better than Blonde/Bland Bond Daniel Craig.

I agree. Dalton deserved to make 5 more Bond movies at least. He's a great actor.

nice to see a timothy dalton-based bond clip. . .the videos are hard to find. it's a shame he was replaced so quickly. . .his two movies as bond were as good as any of them :)

I agree with you, we still have doubts about why Timothy Dalton just decided to make two Bond films, I think he should answer to this mystery. Thank you.

@MyMusic7th i understand they wanted brosnan all along but he wasn't available at the time. plus i guess they didn't think dalton's bond was drawing enough @ the box office

I think it was quite the contrary, Albert Broccoli preferred that Dalton made the role of Bond, the choice of Brosnam was mainly due to personal commitments and the resignation of Dalton to the role.
