I don't think Snuff films exist in America, Europe, Asia and most other contents in the world. How ever I do think Africa has something of the kind, I'm not racist but Africa is quite a strange place. There are some country's with no data what so ever apart from The flag, name of the country and a basic map. These places have very few data, almost nothing and maybe you could find something of the kind of snuff.
@SmackBear2SmckCat If you watch the film, you will learn of many different 'underground snuff film trades' in both USA and Russia. Also, in Japan, one of the most successful blockbuster films of all time we're films called 'The Faces of Death' which we're essentially a string of many snuff films. The 'Faces of Death' franchise had 6 sequels. So, snuff films may be WAY more popular and widespread then what you may think. I hope I've been helpful. Have a nice day.
@HighlyHighlyHumorous Thank you for your comment, but when I refer to "SNUFF film" I think of watching someone being killed for pleasure of the viewer, but I'll look into this film "The Faces Of Death", and thank you for your reply I didn't expect to get one on this subject or video. And a Nice day to you as well.
I heard they mention "Nero pedos" on here. Doesn't any know if that's real i know the makers went to jail and all they tried to track down who purchased them.
@arnulfololll Thanks for the comment but Mark was far from the director but was a part of Bryanston Pictures, the company who partially owned and originally distributed TCM. Just fyi.
hopefully this doc gets uploaded onto here so we dont have to buy something that was falsely advertised. everyone ive talked to who has viewed this said the trailer parts arent in the movie. man people will do anything to views/sales these days.
bullshit, that dude describing the murder needs to ask for his money back from those acting classes lol, ive seen a beheading in Saudi Arabia, from a distant of course cause us westerners arent allowed to watch, and it wasnt that bad...
Let me just pop in here and say that about 75% of the footage included in this trailer (the allegation that the production company received a package) is NOT included in the final cut of the movie.
It's free now, all over the net so there's no need to sell it. Google " beheading video " or " taliban massacre " but be warned ; You can't un-see something. You get used to it though. My first one my heart rate went up to 125 bpm. Now I just sit and drink Peach Snapple and eat a Twinkie.
How terrifying to imagine how casually and easily someone can just do something like that. I couldn't even begin to imagine how that would emotionally affect someone.
No one has seen a snuff film. Because they would not attract attention to themselves if they were. Criminals have to be discret about that stuff. Because they do not want to get caught, Also anyone they would show it to, Would have to know a guy, who knows a guy etc. It's not like there is a special thearter for this stuff on a street somewhere. It's incrediblly underground and hidden. And those people will not go around telling people right and left about it. I hope I am wrong though. :(
I personally never seen one, but ive seen people getting killed on tape (which isn't a snuff film, only if it being sold for money is it officially a snuff film)
At the very end of the documentary the guy with the black glasses talks about a real snuff film that he saw
@rhcprocks97 - You can find stuff like that in Faces of Death, where police shoot people down. True the footage may be authentic, but it still doesn't qualify as a snuff film/movie.

@HappyBirthdaySANTA Yeah, it can mess with your head but also you have to realize that death and murders are everyday occurances. Even though you dont see murder or death happening, doesn't mean it's not happening all over the world this very instant. Its real life. If you got to war, you'll see way worse stuff than anything you'll ever see on any video.
I watched this documentary recently - Ritual child abuse in France: German docmentary - watch?v=MUzQ7aqFyiU
Part one delves into pedophile networks, witness accounts and then later in part 2 strays into child-murders, infant sacrifices and instances of cannibalism. I gotta warn you, some of the imagary shown was pretty messed up, they also show a snippet from an apparent Swedish snuff film.
I wouldn't watch that 3 guys 1 hammer video ( wiki - Dnepropetrovsk maniacs), just read the description
@londonbreksa no, its not extremely hard to find. Search what you said and, knowing where to look, you can find it in a few seconds. and no, it's not a snuff film. That's videotape of someone being murdered. Yes, they are murdering him, it is real, but it wasn't sold for profit. Does not fit the definition of snuff.
@londonbreksa sinkandbonesx is absolutely correct. 3 Guys 1 Hammer isn't hard to find at all. It's fairly easy actually, all of these "shock videos" are.
from what i have heard of,some pplz that have seen snuff movies has bean VERY VERYx999 SHOCKED even allmost getting nightmares, atleast what they say on the net
You dummies listening to the "FBI"? Snuff films are created by people with money and connections to be sold to other people with the same money and connections. Missing persons don't just disappear into a vacuum. Look at the numbers, you couldn't hide that many people/corpses if you tried without someone finding out. It takes folks that are "above the law" to pull off real snuff films. There are over 1000 billionaires in the world and tens of thousands of millionaires. Get IT!
Yep, I've even seen it, but the fact remains that the two boys did not pay people to see the video. Which is a key concept of the snuff film, so it isn't considered snuff. Of course I'm not saying snuff films don't exist, I personally believe that they do. But as its said in the movie, who has legitimately seen a snuff film and told anyone about it, with concrete evidence to support their claims? No one so far.
@jollyross 3 guys 1 hammer isn't a official snuff film. Yeah someone is getting killed on camera, but did they sell the tape of him being killed for money after? No, so its not a snuff film
Considering the vast amount of content on the internet, it would seriously surprise me if there isn't a variety of Snuff films. As it would probably would be classified under the same elusive context as say, cannibalistic video content, I would imagine it's all incredibly underground. The internet unfortunately is a double edged sword, it can be used to for good, or in this case, downright depravity.
Ok, for all of you that don't understand the meaning of snuff. Murders captured on camera is not the right definition. Murders captured on camera, where the footage is being sold on a market in order to gain profit is the right definition. No such product has been found, and it seems almost profound that any one would try to sell footage like that today, but the snuff rumors came around the 70's - before the internet - when cinema and television was the biggest medium. 3G1H is not snuff reallly
@killingjokefilms Oh well, sorry about that. However, if these websites that distribute/broadcast atrocity-like material (Ogrish/LiveLeak and such) were financed by advertising - well, I don't know if they are or not, but lets say that hypothetcally they are - would you classify it as redefining the snuff genre? Since it is murder for profit caught on tape nonetheless. I mean the internet is as powerful as any other media in order to make money.
@Concretshky No worries. Thanks for contributing respectful, intelligent dialogue here. And to answer your question; absolutely. The last chapter in the doc deals with that concept but as more of a root concept. We look at the idea of Snuff "profit" as not just monetary, which is a large aspect of the definition, but as ideological. Such as the infamous decapitation videos. They gained major "profit" to the terror campaign so does that fit the definition if not redefine it?
@killingjokefilms i think i may be mistaken (my apologies if i am), i'm sure that the F.B.I only considers it 'snuff' if it is used for the sexual arousal of the viewer also
@Concretshky - just because you haven't seen one does not mean it doesn't exist. I've never seen a polar bear but they exist. OF COURSE snuff films exist! there is a market for EVERYTHING
@Concretshky Well, of course they weren't exhibited in legitimate comercial cinemas or TV. My understanding is that they were 8 milimeter flicks ( like old home movies ) that were sold ilicitely on the underground maket and usualy to private individuals ( some people owned home projectors back then ) and sometimes even turned up in those old "peepshow" boothes they used to have in porn shops. Then the home video phenomenon came along in the 80's and they similarly turned up in THAT format .
@Concretshky you're right, however 3G1H I believe was only meant to marketed to 1 person who was willing to pay for it. Please correct me if I'm wrong though.
@Concretshky this is correct. The main debate about do real snuff films exsist started when films such as cannable holocaust came out because parts of it looked very real and in one part an animal was killed on camera and left in the film. There were also a few other films that made people think the deaths on film were real but as you say no film and proof that snuff films exsist has ever been found although I would bet that there are snuff films out there somewhere.
@Concretshky actually the idea came before that when it was rumoured that Charles Manson and his 'followers' had made some kind of recording of the Sharon Tate murders in the 60's
Snuff films are very real. Just watch some of the videos of people getting their heads cutt off or dismembered by rogue militia, drug lords or tyrants.
@BrainChild666 Those aren't snuff films!!!! Were those videos sold for money??? NO, if anyone actually saw a REAL snuff film that they had to pay for to get they wouldn't be commenting on a video on YouTube about it
@thekingjoser I believe you're thinking of the "Faces of Death" films. There are no scenes of actual murder and most, if not all, the footage is fake/mocked up
OMG, go to mentalzero com, efukt com---snuff films are not hard to find retards. ufos exist, HAARP exists, the govt fuks are evil as hell, planes spray chemtrails and cloud the skies, wake the hell up you zombie idiots!!!!
CONSPIRACY and EVIL exist, deal with it. unless you don't you are not fully alive and just existing like they want you to. passively
@infowazz chill out tin man. that stuff isnt snuff. half of the death footage on the net is from public/security cameras and the other is footage from public executions. there are the odd ducks like 2 guys 1 hammer but that is not snuff either.
I have never heard of snuff, but i remember about 10 years ago, just after the Blair Witch project film came out,a couple of film makers came to together in the states to make films of camping trips and serial murderers, where it looked like a real murder happened on film,i have not seen anything since, there is another film out there that looks real, but i have heard it is fake, like "zero Day" for example,I often wonder where film writers get their inspiration from films such as "saw" and others..
For those who don`t know, Snuff films are nothing but actors on film, yes there are actual videos of people being murdered on tape, but that`s just called murder on camera and that`s something completley different.
For those who may wonder, or not, the above comment was a decent person rebuffing another of the vast fucking spam this page is assaulted by. Because Youtube changed their settings we now have to "approve" these cunts comments before we can mark them as Spam and block them and we here are Killing Joke must have let one ooze through the cracks. Thanks titak1078 for commenting.
i have seen 3 men one hammer wich basicly shows 2 men brutally smashing a ordanary day to day diy hammer over a mans face and eventually killing him . i believe this is a real snuff movie . if you go on google and type in 3 men one hammer and click on the first lynk watch it and tell me what you think . beware though very sick and warped
@stevoMILL00 - The video is probably one of the most disturbing things I've seen, especially since they seemed to make a joke about it by the end. But it doesn't qualify as a legit snuff film, since it doesn't fill out the last part of the definition--distribution for gradification and profit.
@Gr3dyG3NiUsK1d0 - by definition its not a snuff film. Yes, it does depict the murder of a person. But the Maniacs never sold the video for profit. (or at the very least planned on distributing it. I have heard people say different, but they never supply any proof to back the claim up)
Who has actually seen a snuff? Those who are mentally very very disturbed is the answer. I'm sure that snuff films aren't UFOs. Disturbed people do exist, and due to such documentaries, those people might have found a new hobby.
Whistleblower John DeCamp exposed much about the government's involvement in pedophile prostitution rings and snuff networks in his book "conspiracy of silence" it's a mystery as to why someone didn't kill him for writing that book.
@MetaMorphy and your evidence is what? I thought so. Opinions are like buttholes, everybody has got one. I say if you think it's a myth then prove it or just shut-up.
I know of a guy that had a bizarre video store that said someone offered to sell him a video of a real prison riot in Mexico, where prison guards were beheaded and their heads were paraded around on sticks. He declined the offer to buy it because he didn't like the idea of a film were people really do get murderedm
@yurikomuro Snuff isn't just a killing captured on camera. It is killing someone on camera only for the purpose of distributing it to make money.
I've heard about this documentary and it honestly doesn't even show anything close to snuff, war footage, beheadings by taliban, etc all thats just gruesome footage.
but I get your point. And the fact there are so many real videos with murders on the internet with huge views means there is a demand, people like watching others get hurt. sick shit
Do you see people actually being murdered in this film, if not I won't watch it so FUCK THAT SHIT, people that create these "Snuff" films deserve nothing but my credit card.
Do you see people actually being murdered in this film, if not I will watch it if so FUCK THAT SHIT, people that create these "Snuff" films deserve nothing but death.
@richig761 - Executions/Beheadings aren't snuff. Because they aren't distributed for profit. And terrorist beheadings are the same. They're for completely different purposes.
@rockbottom56 - Yes they're recorded murders. But they're used for different purposes. Snuff films are distributed for sexual gradification and profit. Beheading videos (like Daniel Pearl's) are for terror purposes.
A snuff film is a film/video that depicts the real, sexualized murder of a person or people for the express purpose of distribution for entertainment or financial exploitation.
This definition incorporates the three essential ingredients of snuff.
1. Real
If the film is not real, then it's faux or fake snuff which exists in multitudes online and film/video.
Nine Inch Nails has a music video thats 20 minutes long that u can watch part of on youtube or dowload on pirate bay or demonoid that is a snuff film... its insaine...
@jdlewis60 - I'm a dictionary nazi, so I'll have disagree. While it's true that they did make the M Lady Tapes, they never distributed them. And I doubt they would have sold them anyways. So it applies to half the definition, not all of it.
I just watched this documentary, and i feel this sickness in my stomach not just from the fact that people film this but that it is humanly possible for anyone to actually think that these kinds of thoughts (let alone the action) is something thats "alright" I think anyone who has anything to do with "snuff", child pornography, filmed torture...etc. is an extreme epidemic plague on this planet .
I watched this documentary cause i wanted to fidn out the severity of how bad it is.
The Closest I have ever come to a snuff film...in it's actual and legal description...is an online video I saw of a man being murdered by two guys while another used a camera phone to capture everything, It crossed a line in me that I thought couldnt be crossed...and disturbed me to a point where I'll never watch that video again. Evil exsists in many forms...SNUFF is one of them.
@MovieDude210 - This may be the closest thing to a snuff film that we will ever find, especially being online. I was both disturbed by the content,as well as fascinated. Disturbed by how gruesome and graphic it was; and fascinated by how cold the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs were during the video. Cracking jokes and just acting like it was nothing.
The voice at the end isn't saying films do not exist where people are murdered. He means for a film involving a murder to be produced solely to be sold on the market (underground or otherwise) for financial gain.
yeah I think that qualifies as snuff despite not being commercially sold for profit (though it probably was the intention). FBI agents probably haven't even heard of half the atrocities on the internet so they're opinions aren't even valid. There's far worse things going on the internet so I think snuff film do exist (for profit). It's the same damn thing anyway, for ex porn was meant for fianancial gain, but what do you call it when it's free? PORN!!
@cemetary665isVictor - 3Guys1Hammer isn't a snuff by definition. People have told me that they were going to sell the tape to a website, before they're arrest. But nobody's provided any evidence for this or the name of this "website". (I've explained this before on other pages)
We hear about that stuff sometimes from friends, "Oh man, that video's crazy, they staple gun his face!!" I never watch it, even if given the chance. Don't really know why, maybe I think I'm retaining some humanity by refusing to watch people get killed/tortured on camera for the sheer hell of it. "Whatever floats your boat" I guess...?
I am not not surprised there are people who get turned on by this stuff. i stopped being surprised when i learned of necrophilia at age 10. from then on i have accepted the fact that there are sick and twisted people out there, no point in letting things like this get to me. just have to find a way to stop it.
@FFFUCKKAYOUUWWHALLEE - I've been told that they were going to sell it to someone, but the key term is "were". They weren't able to because they got arrested. So it doesn't apply to the fill definition. And exactly, which website were they going to sell it to? Because nobody ever brings it up.
you have to watch this film. but warning, NOT for the faint of heart. it shows disturbing and real footage.
the best part of this film is that it doesn't give a biased opinion on whether snuff films exist or not, or even what consistutes AS a snuff film. it simply interviews those people while they tell their versions of what they believe.
it's incredibly gripping, and Mark L. Rosen's interview is the best part of this film.
This was a very interesting documentary, it gives a glimpse at some actual snuff films like the beheading of Eugene Armstrong, and the Juba Sniper, but of course they do not show the actual death. Snuff movies are one of those things you really want to see, but know it will change you if you actually watch one. Or maybe thats just my morbid curiosity. Im definately never watching 3 guys 1 hammer :(
@OdeToNecrophilia - What was this snuff you seen,if you don't mind me asking. (I ask because it's almost always people getting tricked by special effects from an infamous alleged snuff movie;like Flower of Flesh and Blood. Or just saying it for lulz, and never bringing it up again)
@extremeeXrement1 - In the special from Dark Side of Porn, there was an hour thing on whether or not snuff exists, and someone says terrorist videos/beheadings arn't technically snuff, because it's for a different purpose.
even some man+women couple killings, of these partners kidnapping and murdering people. its quite interesting how they act as if what they're doing is any old ordinary thing.
omfg why won't anyone send me videos of them killing people! PLEASE! oh my god, you send it to these homos, but i'm actually interested in this stuff. if you would kill for me and send me a tape i would be so flattered. i really wanna see this film also. where is it? i like the idiot at the end saying "no-one has actually seen a snuff film" i have seen quite a few. (part 1 of 2, fuck i hate youtube character limit -.-)
Does snuff film exist or not. To me, I think they're real, but I've never watched any snuff film. Neither would I want to. Not even to satisfy any possible curiosity. I think it's too much. I have this strong believe, that we shall respect all kind of life, and therefore it would just be wrong, both to make and watch that shit...
@KUPHSER - To your first thing, with the "Does Snuff Exist" episode from the Dark Side of Porn, beheadings by terrorist groups were brought up,like Daniel Pearl. And they said,it's not technically snuff, because it's made for different purposes. Fear, not pleasure. And the second, as for looking for snuff, I say its because of our morbid curioisities. But liking it, makes me think about peole with extreme fetishes. But that's just my thought.
I don't think Snuff films exist in America, Europe, Asia and most other contents in the world. How ever I do think Africa has something of the kind, I'm not racist but Africa is quite a strange place.

Concretshky 9 months ago 11
@Concretshky Absolutely correct. Except that the myth/rumors began more in the late 60's.
killingjokefilms 9 months ago 5
@killingjokefilms Oh well, sorry about that. However, if these websites that distribute/broadcast atrocity-like material (Ogrish/LiveLeak and such) were financed by advertising - well, I don't know if they are or not, but lets say that hypothetcally they are - would you classify it as redefining the snuff genre? Since it is murder for profit caught on tape nonetheless. I mean the internet is as powerful as any other media in order to make money.
Concretshky 9 months ago 5
@Concretshky No worries. Thanks for contributing respectful, intelligent dialogue here. And to answer your question; absolutely. The last chapter in the doc deals with that concept but as more of a root concept. We look at the idea of Snuff "profit" as not just monetary, which is a large aspect of the definition, but as ideological. Such as the infamous decapitation videos. They gained major "profit" to the terror campaign so does that fit the definition if not redefine it?
killingjokefilms 9 months ago 7
@killingjokefilms i think i may be mistaken (my apologies if i am), i'm sure that the F.B.I only considers it 'snuff' if it is used for the sexual arousal of the viewer also
gillanbowd1 1 month ago
@Concretshky - just because you haven't seen one does not mean it doesn't exist. I've never seen a polar bear but they exist. OF COURSE snuff films exist! there is a market for EVERYTHING
Gronditty 8 months ago
@Concretshky Well, of course they weren't exhibited in legitimate comercial cinemas or TV. My understanding is that they were 8 milimeter flicks ( like old home movies ) that were sold ilicitely on the underground maket and usualy to private individuals ( some people owned home projectors back then ) and sometimes even turned up in those old "peepshow" boothes they used to have in porn shops. Then the home video phenomenon came along in the 80's and they similarly turned up in THAT format .
Skulldini 7 months ago
@Concretshky you're right, however 3G1H I believe was only meant to marketed to 1 person who was willing to pay for it. Please correct me if I'm wrong though.
sgtzero1337 2 months ago
@Concretshky this is correct. The main debate about do real snuff films exsist started when films such as cannable holocaust came out because parts of it looked very real and in one part an animal was killed on camera and left in the film. There were also a few other films that made people think the deaths on film were real but as you say no film and proof that snuff films exsist has ever been found although I would bet that there are snuff films out there somewhere.
greenbrucelee 2 months ago
@Concretshky actually the idea came before that when it was rumoured that Charles Manson and his 'followers' had made some kind of recording of the Sharon Tate murders in the 60's

@stevoMILL00 - The video is probably one of the most disturbing things I've seen, especially since they seemed to make a joke about it by the end. But it doesn't qualify as a legit snuff film, since it doesn't fill out the last part of the definition--distribution for gradification and profit.

MovieDude210 1 year ago
@MovieDude210 - This may be the closest thing to a snuff film that we will ever find, especially being online. I was both disturbed by the content,as well as fascinated. Disturbed by how gruesome and graphic it was; and fascinated by how cold the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs were during the video. Cracking jokes and just acting like it was nothing.
TheElectricDreamer93 1 year ago

yeah I think that qualifies as snuff despite not being commercially sold for profit (though it probably was the intention). the best part of this film is that it doesn't give a biased opinion on whether snuff films exist or not, or even what consistutes AS a snuff film. it simply interviews those people while they tell their versions of what they believe.
