  • hey you know what would make a good video? A complete disassembly of the slide on this AA 22 lr conversion kit. I think it would void the warranty but it just looks like some pins and allen wrenches. Save a lot time and money being able to service these things at home without having to ship them back to AA.

  • ...GREAT (where's the damn sarcastic button)

  • Another small time "company" that doesn't even SELL the product they make?

    Sounds Fly-By-Night to me...

  • This video emphasises the "whhaap!" sound of dryfiring, and the slide release.

  • How you make it fully auto?

  • @noel40220 yes, that is exactly what I was looking for. How to make a G18 from G17. It is possible but I didn't find the method yet. But I think it's pretty hard.

  • Good vid, but it's bad for the weapon to release the slide like that when it's empty.

  • Everybody talks about how great this kit is and how easy it is to install but I notice that there is not a single video on You Tube showing how to take it apart or, lets say, complete disassembly of the AA Conversion Slide and how to remove the extractor or extractor spring in case it gets damage or other internal parts beside the firing pin. Does this means we have to send it to California everytime something internal gets damage or malfunction? That really sucks!

  • Not so cause in my ( More Advantage Arms 22 Conversion Kit info + Range Review ) video I show how to disassemble the kit.

  • You go as far as showing how to remove the firing ping but not a "complete" slide disassembly. I'm talking about how to remove extractor pin, the extractor it self and the extractor spring plus the other few small parts in the slide, beside the firing pin assembly.

  • you gonna get that HERA ARMS CARBINE CONVERSION?

  • nice sweater dude

  • why not just buy a ruger mark 3 so youll 2 guns?

  • I recently bought an AA kit for my G27. Took it to the range and every other round was a misfire. I'm using CCI MiniMags. I'd appreciate any advice on fixing this problem? Wish mine would shoot like your on your vid. Super vidios!

  • Well every kit is a little different and some shoot different ammo better then others , so finding the ammo yours likes may help with this.

Also the AA kits like it wet ( AKA lots of oil ) so make sure she is lubed good.

Also make sure there is no metel bures or something in or around the chamber , this can happen when being made and can cause problems

Just remember no company is perfect and sometimes they put out a bad one and if thats the case then I'm sure AA will give you a new one.

  • what is the best ammo to use

  • "I ain't really seen none"

    Classic Super Neck.

  • Can you buy extra .22 mags for the conversion?

  • Yes you can but right now they can be hard to find and most likely you'll have to wait on backorder.

  • where can u buy a 9mm glock that will convert to shoot 22 shells???

  • @drlove9999999

Any glock will if you buy the conversion kit.

It replaced the barrel and slide.

  • hows that fiber optic front sight working for you I'm curious if you had any durability issues with it i used one on my 870 duty shotgun and bumped it the wrong way and poof it was gone, I'm a huge fan of XS sights for fighting check them out

  • Yes I also have broke a few fiber optic front sights over the years but then I switched to a Hi-viz Overmolded on a few of my handguns and BAM problem fixxed. You can slam them sights as hard as you want and it won't break.

I never did care for XS sights but to each their own. I Could never get used to that whole Dot the eye type sighting

  • Do you think that you could make a video showing how to totally break down the slide and clean where the firing pin is. I cannot find the info anywhere!

  • Well maybe check out my " More Advantage Arms 22 Conversion Kit Info " Video and if you still have anymore questions feel free to ask.

If I can remember right , I'm pretty sure I cover what you neeed in that video.

  • Good job on the video, I want to get one for my 30.

Any experience on conversion for the 30?

  • No sorry man I can't say that I have.

  • Great!!!!

  • Does the AA kit (glock model) have to ship to an FFL?

I realize the frame is the main component but with all the overly anal things about firearms lately ..I'd hate to have to pay the high transfer fee(local store) on an already pretty high priced item.

  • No I'm pretty sure you don't need a FFL dealer.( At least not here in Michigan )

  • Thanks! ..I don't think we need it here in FL either after checking around ..and I know the gun laws are probably a little stiffer overall up there (at least when i lived up there) ..btw great vids!

  • Very informative video. thanks for sharing.

  • With the price of ammo...I'm definitely buying one of the 19 uppers to supplement my buckmark. I'm also about to place an order on a Spikes .22lr upper for my ar. Expensive(about the same as a 5.56 upper)...but I figure it will pay for itself quickly.

  • If you ever get that Spikes 22lr upper for your AR let me know how it works out will ya.

Been really thinking about getting me a 22lr upper or 22 conversion bolt for my AR.

  • 22LR?

  • 22LR means ( 22 Long Rifle ) thats what the caliber is called

  • i just got a glock 17 bout 2 months ago.

what the point of the conversion kit? whats it do?

  • Its helps you practice shooting without spending a boat load of cash on Ammo.

    100 Round Box of 9mm $18-$23

    550 round Box of 22LR $9-$14

  • wow. i saw these on glockmeister and considered getting one....didn't know it'd be that easy to install

  • Grate video, I only wish I would have gotten to see it being fired.

  • Well I guess I could do a Break down clip and burn off a few rounds showing the Kits accracy. Thanks for watching man

  • It would be like the icing on the cake. That's how you sold me on the LWD G23 9mm conversion barrel. But with ammo prices these days 22lr is looking like the most practical way to train.

  • Ya some may take alittle time ( I hear the G23 kit is on back order alot ) but most you can get in a month or less.

    Thanks for watching man.

  • Thanks for the video. Good clear picture and sound quality, rare in many youtube stuff.

  • where can i get this kit besides gun broker?

  • Well I can't really say for sure cause I just ordered mine from are local gun store but I think I have this kit in many shooting magazines. ( maybe try a Yahoo search )

  • glockworld dot com

  • I ordered one from there and they are back ordered and dont know when they will receive it :(

  • Hey, Nice video! I was thinking of getting an AA kit for my Glock 21 (.45ACP) as ammo is going through the roof. Your clip sold me, I am waiting for it, should be here tomorrow. Thanks again!

  • No problem I happy the info helped you out.

And if you got a Glock in calibers 40S&W or 357sig maybe check out my 9mm Conversion barrel clip ( its another way to save alittle cash at the range )

  • good vid dude, thanks.

  • No prob thanks for watching

  • I was planning on getting that same conversion sooner than later to save on the massive ammo cost I've been running.

Do you use one for your AR?

  • No I don't have one for my AR yet but I been thinking about getting one

  • very good man!

im in canada. if i wanna buy pistols, i have to get trained and get a lisence first, but sooner or later, i'll get one.. i like GLOCK 17, how do you think? any better hand guns?

  • Ya I know what you mean here in the US getting a CCW is not that easy to and as far as the glock 17 goes well I'm a big glock fan myself but if its your first time shooting a handgun I would say no to glock simply because there is no outword safety on them but if you have shot a handgun before and are comferable with them then I say yes to glock and a BIG YES at that

  • But then again shooting a handgun is more about how it feels with you and some people don't like or simply can't shoot some types of handguns very well ( the best thing to do if you could ) is to shoot many types of handguns before sticking to one but I will say this I have shot many types of handguns out there and glock is my fav byfar.

  • Glock is not a bad choice. There are many calibers better than 9mm though which is what the 17 is chambered in. But it all depends on what you plan on using it for, as for recreation the G17 is great because 9mm ammunition is always available in surplus quantities. But for defensive I would look along the lines of a .40 S&W or .45ACP And if you feel the need to take out large animals or gang members with ease you can't go wrong with the Glock 20 or 29 chambered in 10mm

  • This clip is about the advantage arms conversion kit and not about self defense rounds.

  • I know I was responding to cocolucky's question.

  • ohhh ok mybad

  • I wish they made those .22 conversion kits for sig though. Good videos nice to see fellow second ammendment supporters on youtube.

  • Ya your right I don't think I have ever heard of a 22 conversion kit for a sig yet.

  • hi. im looking to convert my glock 27. so if i buy an extra .22 magazine for converted glock 17...will it fit in glock 27? or all .22 magazine for all glocks were all the same. thanks

  • All small frame glock mags fit another so yes it will fit its the big frame glocks that won't (Like) 45acp 10mm ... only thing is if you put a Converted G17 mag in 22cal in a Converted G27 in 22cal it will just stick out alittle from the bottom but will work fine. All they do is cut them to fit flush at the factory.

  • Go to Walmart and get Remington 22 Golden Bullet 550 bonus pack.

Works great and a bit less then $13 a box(round my way anyway)

  • Great Video Man!!!

    Five Stars!!!!!

  • Thanks I enjoyed your video's also.

  • Thank you for sharing its in my wish list. still happy with it?

  • Yes I'm still happy with it and thanks for watchin.

  • I just saw it holds only 10 rnds because of the laws in Cali limit to only 10 rnd capacity where their manufacture it.

  • Yes they sadly only have ten round mag's because of cali laws but I do think it is just as reliable as a 9mm ( as long as you use good ammo ) and they tell you what ammo work's the best in the kit. I'm hoping one day someone will have some after market Hi-cap mag's for it.

  • Ohh ya thanks for watchin

  • Good video. How many rounds does the magazine hold in the conversion kit? Do you think its a reliable as 9mm?
