Hey, thanks for the suggestion!

We tried different effects and things, but the problem was it clashed with the music. In the end, this was the best choice for the scene because it was the thing that worked best.

The reason is the music takes up a lot of sonic space and anything else added is a distraction.

Thanks. That's why I did so many of those shots fairly 2D and jumped the charactes scene to scene. The final fight scene will not be that way but we are making it more video game like in other ways.

Hm, I don't remember anyone getting hurt in these shots. In scene 4, our lead actress knocked out a fifth degree black belt when she accidentally hit a pressure point with a weapon. He was not hurt and was fine in moments. In scene 6, another 5th degree black belt cut his hand on a rogue garbage can.

Seriously, that was a lot of fun. We were up until 1:30 a.m. doing signs to cover those on the school, then got up early to work with the kids. Directors who hate working with kids never worked with these guys. They were great!

Hahaha ... I AM the guitarist who did the music. I have a degree in music and am very familiar with all the modes. In addition to video work, I teach guitar and piano in the area where I live.

The theme didn't call for anything in Mixolydian. The whole point is the '70s feel to the music. Standard blues rock licks are the order of the day.
