  • Which episode is the clip at 3:00 from?

  • @Seborben It's from the Christmas Special: "Voyage of the Damned".

  • @Seborben the christmas special between series 3 and 4

  • Cool guys don't look at explosions.

  • Does anybody know which scene this music is used in? Is it on youtube?

  • @42kavi42 Its used all throughout Season 3, when the Doctor Even mentions gallifrey but when the Master comes back it is used at the end of his....*SPOILERS*

    life.

  • r.i.p master!

  • 29 Daleks disliked this

  • I get chills listening to this. It's as if Gallifrey was my lost homeland too. What an incredible piece.

  • when is 2:38 until 3:04 i dont recognise that episode?

  • @Hazbags thats the christmas special where he is aboard the titanic i believe, forget the name of the episode

  • @fenrir139 thanks mate

  • @Hazbags Should be... Voyage of the Damned

  • all rise for gallifrey's national anthem

  • the scene with the doctor and his daughter kind of reminded me of skulduggery pleasant and valkyrie cain...

  • Sat in front of John Simm to see Othello yesterday :D Got a bit fan-girlish.

  • In all fairness to Murray Gold, this song captures the epicness of the doctor completely. It shows in ways i cannot describe how old and wise he is while retaining his honour, his pride in being a Time lord and his sense of justice despite all the shit he sees different species and people doing to each other throughout the universe, and despite it all, he still wants to help everyone and as along as there is one good person left in the universe he will keep fighting. Long live the doctor.

  • We are terrible and kind, petty and brilliant. Our loves are the loves of Gods because we are Gods. You may attempt to destroy us and those we hold dear, but we are the fore-seers, we are the knowledgeable, and we know where to nudge you so you stand under acid rain in a maelstrom of fire and ash. We create the traps to distribute your atoms to the wind.

  • We are the beautiful star skippers, the rippers of time blocs and creators of destinies, we decide who evolves past in-fighting and who descends into the obscure blips of time, we are the Masters of the stitches, we trip the right levers and all the wrong things happen as they should. We are Lords of Time, we are eternal by our nature and will not be destroyed. We live on, regenerating into many forms, fluid as the sky seas.

  • This is the best doctor ever!!!!! Good soundtrack theme!!

  • Beautiful video!

  • Hey Sammie, would you mind telling us about your home? XD

  • 1:46.... Shivers....

  • Comment removed

  • The Doctor is a great character, funny, a bit eccentric, bit when he's serious, you had better run. I thing David Tennent portrayed that very well

  • a man who burnt his own world and wiped out two of the most powerfull races EVER and yet there are others that think they have what it takes to mess with him are they really that stupid!!! favourite quote of all time "now i know why he ran and hid.... he was being kind"

  • The best part is 0:58 when the drums come in (:

  • I really wish they either did a spinoff of DW with Time Lords or they brought them back somehow but in a good light, not like they did last time...that made Time Lords look horrible.

  • @turtledogs7766 Time Lords often appear in the classic series.

  • Hey my name is Sami too! And I'm from Gallifrey as well!

  • Wow, at 0:08, the 10th doctor's outfit looks somewhat similar to the 11th doctor's wardrobe

  • This music is incredible

  • i wonder if the doctor ever gets tired of people asking him about the time war

  • But wow, this is just pure amazing. This music just represents the whole of the Doctor's past.

  • The screaming; I think it's meant to be the screaming of the timelords and the daleks as they burnt. They only burnt for a second, though, and then they stopped.

  • Love this theme. The background rhythm sounds a bit like a ticking clock. Maybe it's a reference to the time-lords

  • i guess he doesn't want the same thing happen to earth thats why he is protecting it

  • This is my second favorite DW theme.

  • the doctor is brilliant in this video

  • he is also a friend of the the devil

  • I find it interesting that the Doctor mourns the death of the Master here, in a way he didn't seem to after the Master died before the beginning of the 1996 movie. I don't think it's just because the Master was the only other Time Lord - as far as the Doctor knew - left in existence. I think that this incarnation of the Master may have been closer - minus, perhaps, the madness - to his personality when the Doctor first met and befriended him. But, then, it's just a theory.

  • I remember watching this to his regeneration so sad....You know I dislike smith but I think I'll watch just for the Doctor Who universe =)

  • when i first saw this i was thinking the doctor would shout this is sparta XD

  • this music is cute

  • Sorry, but this is really poor editing. The video clips you chose don't really come together to create a coherent theme or story. It looks really amateurish to play music over long scenes of dialogue where people are clearly talking, and we can't hear what they're saying. What's worse, in some of the scenes, you keep the dialogue in at low volume, so it's distracting because it's just slightly audible over the music, but not audible enough to really understand what's being said.

  • Then you drop out the music, but still keep the dialogue at that low level where it had been when the music was playing, and it makes it a little too quiet for comfort.

  • the lost God...

  • Forget for a second that this is Doctor Who. Murray Gold is a genius who has created a piece of music that transcends the show, let alone the genre. This piece should stand proud within the annals of classical music and head and shoulders above traditional television soundtracks.

  • This is one of the best pieces of music EVER. It has everything. Doctor Who 4EVER

  • Fuck u sammie!

  • does anyone else love how it changes at the 1:00 mark... it sounds beautiful all throughout but thats one of the best parts

  • 2:10 Jenny <3

  • The crescendo in this song is brilliant... can't you imagine a camera shot (CGI), swooping through the binary solar system that lies deep in the Mutter's Spiral of the constellation Kosterborous - and at the crescendo, we break through the space dust and rocks, and there's Gallifrey!

    Crescendo I'm referring to: 1:45

  • As much as i like this song, it starts to suck around 4:10

  • @TheMessiersAndromeda I see what you did there.

  • @TheMessiersAndromeda The song isnt even playing at 4:09!

  • @applepie231

    No shit, sherlock.

  • @applepie231 *face palm*

  • @TheMessiersAndromeda The song is only four minute and nine seconds long.

  • @ReverendSyn

That's the point...do I actually have to explain this to you?

  • @TheMessiersAndromeda are people really not understanding your comment or is this all a youtube windup?

  • @tenthousandhairs people are idiots... *sarcasm* does this answer the question at hand or shall i go into further detail? *sarcasm*

  • @tenthousandhairs i'll take that as a facepalm

  • @fenrir139 damn comp didnt write the reply... i was meant to say i agree

  • @TheMessiersAndromeda There is no 4:10

  • @minajustsoroxlike

    No shit.

  • the doctor is a true lonely angel

  • This song is perfectly magnificent and beautifully mysterious for the lost planet of the Time Lords.

  • The thing about the doctor is that he doesn't yell, or scream. He's calm, collected and level-headed when he's angry, truly angry and that's what is truly frightening. Killing the family of blood would have been an act of mercy and kindness.

  • "Run!" "Im the Doctor, who are you?" "Rose" "Nice to meet you Rose, run for your life!" "Oh it's not good-bye!" "Please just say it" "But your own planet? It burned?!" "Alon-sy" "There was a war...." tap tap tap tap "We had the best of times, the best." "Im the Doctor. Im a Timelord. Im from the planet Galifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous. I am 903 years old and I am the man who is gonna save your lives and all 6 billion people on the planet below"
  • I love the music of the Lonely Angel. So sad and so free :)

  • aw, and you could see that he liked her :)

  • I cried, This war will never be over. The doctor will live on forever

  • This is Gallifrey, the home of the time lords. It was destroyed in the great time war where nobody won. They both lost much and gained nothing.

  • @ezmerelda221 galifrey was not destroyed it is engaed in a time lock with the rest of the world

  • @85set05 And so it came to pass...on Christmas Day...

that the human race did cease to exist, but even then, the Master had no concept of his greater role in events. For this was FAR more than humanity's end. This day...was the day upon which the whole creation would change forever! This was the day...the Time Lords returned.

    "For Gallifrey!"

    (For Gallifrey!)

    "For victory!"

    (For victory!)

    "For the end...of time...itself!!!"

    (For the end...of time...itself...)

    Best. Cliffhanger. Ever.

  • I miss David Tennant as the doctor :( also great music ^^

  • god bless. if there is a planet like the time lords( which i believe there is) i hope they are still here. you know the doctor could save the time lords if he went back to visit another timelord that wasnt on galifrey then the doctor could travel with him to galifrey and bring the planet back by using the tardis

  • At 2:50 What episode is it?

  • @ezmerelda221 It's the Titanic episode, the christmas episode of season 4 with Kylie Minogue (I think)

god I should not be able to do that , you know you're a nerd when...

  • this is galifrey, this is galifrey, galifrey, galifrey, galifrey, galifrey.

  • The Daleks check their closets and under their beds for the Doctor.

  • @Kryptonian250

    Yeaaaah like it!

  • @Kryptonian250 I think the Daleks are so cute. Whenever I see them gliding along the ground, I hear "The Nut Cracker March" in my head. You know, "da, da-da-da, da-da, da-da..."

  • @Kryptonian250

Yeah, and 28 of them disliked this video.

  • @Kryptonian250 why do they need either of those things?

  • Have this on in the background as I listen and I actually really really loved the voice in the background at 3:00 ish

  • there are some 26 daleks and cyber men who dont like timelords and there theme

  • @LMG1792 Should we exterminate, delete or upgrade them?

  • @LMG1792 I agree full heartedly! but psst you spelled their wrong

  • @LMG1792 dont forget the autons, slitheen and zygons to name but a few.

  • fuckin love this song ever since i heard it at the proms

  • I listen to this whenever i'm doing work, grinding in Wow or just watching it because you did such a damn fine job of it!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • @OrcaReef YEAH! i listen to this when i'm grinding or doing dailies, or especially PVPing. GO GEEKS. <3

  • @OrcaReef

Omfg hahaha I listen to this all the time when I play WoW

  • you deserve a medal.....

  • He never raised his voice, that was the fury of the timelord................______"Family of Blood"

  • love this song

  • this is gallifrey, our child hood, our home.

  • 1 min through onwards is the best bit i think

  • Im gonna miss david tennant

  • Almost makes me cry :'( so sad and touching...David Tennant was by far the best Doctor there was. He had the best touching moments with his companions and the overall most fun.

  • C'est vraiment une musique qui prend aux tripes . I love you Doctor !!!! mdr

  • @Frisolune Exactement, elle fait passer tellement d'émotions cette musique c'est incroyable :).

  • The Lonely Gallifreyain. The Lonely Timelord. The Lonely Angel... The Last Timelord... The Doctor. Hes Like Fire And Ice And Rage... He is like The Knight In The Storm The Heart Of The Sun He Is Ancient And Forever He Burns At The Center Of Time And He Can See The Turn Of The Human Race And Hes Wonderful... The Doctor..

  • @jordandraper11 He is The Uncoming Storm

  • @GothicAngelofdoom1 Oncoming not Uncoming

  • The drums, doctor.....will they finally stop? ...will they finally stop??

  • LOL, I thought it was a Sparta parody

  • "he is like fire and ice ...." loved david tennant best doctor

  • I'm downloading this music from iTunes.

  • I watch this video everyday. It's incredible. One thing I've learnt as I've delved deeper into Doctor Who; it's fan base is absolutely brilliant!

You're brilliant. A stone-cold genius. But you could be so much more...you could be beautiful. (Sorry, had that scene in my head, and it just felt right.)

  • It gave me goosebumps. Epic!!!

  • Thank you for posting this.

    Beautiful song!

  • That is what makes him Dangerous.! But great Music I have it on my Ipod.!

  • tenth doctor forever.

  • i want that music i miss david already

  • I couldn't believe he couldn't accept his daughter until the last moment but it was sad! But I wonder if they will bring her back on a different series or torchwood or something.

  • @MEganAngel315 He accepted his daughter when she put down the gun.

  • @MeganAngel315 She came back a few episodes later (I believe, I saw someting)

  • i love this piece of music ^^ and i have to say, i am warming to matt smith and i like him, he acts in a different way to david which is what makes all the doctors so unique because the actors behind them can add their own characters and ways of talkiing and acting into it. if it was the same doctor all the time it would get boring. i will miss david, but matts not that bad!

  • new series starts in 10 minutes!!!!

  • The aspect ratio is wrong. You need to put yt:crop=16:9 in the tags list for the video.

  • i reckon it woulda been so much better if uw aited for the end of time and got some scenes from there

  • DW has the best OST ever!

  • Thank GOD you posted the parts4/8-8/8 of End Of Time. My VCR wasn't programmed properly due to bad info. I thought I would miss the end of the show but you saved me. Tom Baker used to be my favorite Doctor but David surpassed him. Thanks again and live on Doctor! P.S. Thanks BBC America!

  • The angels have the phone box

  • Matt Smith must be brilliant, the flame has been pasted to him

  • @WTFisJamieUp2 very good point, dr who has been reputed for picking up the best actors. i mean, look at the likes of tom baker and david tennant. i think matt will do well, and yes it will be hard stepping into david's shoes but with the new writer there will be fresh new plots, storylines and characters to look forwards to. the only thing im not happy about is what they have done with the TARDIS >:( i will miss david though

  • he never raised his voice and that was the worst thing the fury of a timelord..............

  • @ZombiesgodAngel he was kind. he gave us eternity.

  • @Shockszzbyyous exactumundo

  • @ZombiesgodAngel never make a time lord angry.

  • @ZombiesgodAngel eccleston raised his voice, but only to save him, rose, and jack from the gas mask wearing hospital patients. the doctor dances

  • 1:03 onwards..... Brilliant.

  • The Christmas special with the Kylie Minogue was officially the worst episode of Doctor Who. It's been the only bad one so far.

  • The only bad one? End of Time part 1 was pretty bad.

  • I agree that Voyage of the Damned was dire. The End of Time was pretty bad as was "Journey's End" not to mention several others but Voyage was a major stinker and a half!

  • it was good on the day but when you look back at it nothing happened, it was just the hype that made it good, part 2 was good though

  • Aside from the resurrection scene, which I thought was pretty corny, I loved it.

  • So not! Anything that isn't epic is made up for by the last minute and a half. Seriously.

  • The On Coming Storm, The Lonely Angel, The Doctor!

  • why did he go, i will NOT watch doctor who anymore david tennant was THE best!!! :( xx

  • Check out the old ones too, you might be pleasantly suprised. There hasnt been one Doctor I havent loved.

  • I like this video, apart from you can sometimes hear the lines from the movie... was that intentional?

  • The Lonely Angel.

  • That part at 1:45 ... amazing.

  • david tennant is the best doctor in the history of doctor who!!!!!!!!

    such a sad song...

  • yh i watched a bit of it

  • the end of time was so sad :'( i miss david tennant as the doctor-hes sort of left a big david tennant size hole in it. did anyone see him in hamlet on boxing day? he was amazing in that :)

  • FINALLY!!! Gallifrey!!!!! is back!! woo hoo!!!

  • wat u mean galifrey is back?

  • @superhardcase Have you seen "The End of Time"?

  • no i havent where can i see it it?? i missed t on tv

  • you can watch it on bbc iplayer

  • yeah it doesnt work for me cause i come from the land down under, but thanks for the tip!

  • @superhardcase If you're from Australia, I don't know if it's available on iTunes for Australians or not. End of Time Part One is on YouTube last time I checked. Part Two is not, but it's available on BitTorrent sites and MegaUpload (if it's still there).

  • Thanks!!!!!

  • @superhardcase If you plan to get it from Bit Torren or Mega Upload, you'll probably need to download a codec or two if you haven't yet. The easy thing to do is to just download VLC media player. It plays any kind of video no matter how it's encoded.

  • If galliefrey is back then so is hell! Daleks would have come to earth and everything else e.g. the midnight child!

  • Gallifrey is back, yay! :-D

  • Then it went back, yay :-D

  • I love this show to bits but it used to make my head hurt wondering why he could travel around the 4th dimension as he likes but travel into other dimensions/ parallel worlds was not allowed. I would love more back story on why the time-lords closed it. hopefully that will come up sometime.

  • It was explained in 'Doomsday' sort of.

Travel between parallel dimensions, splinters those dimensions, causing all kinds of damage. If the walls between realities were to become too badly daamaged, the normal laws of physics for each universe would not apply, causing chaos and eventually total desctruction on a universal scale.

  • @CMDRKillsalot I Remember that from the show but dimensional travel was possible prior to the demise of the time race. I was just saying it would be nice to know why the "Gallifreyans" closed the dimensions.

  • never get tired of this music.
