Larry did launch Randy's career, but I don't think that people know that Larry knew Sara long before he introduced her to Randy. Plus people didn't know that Larry's wife Pamela was having an affair while married to Larry. She was not happy in their marriage. Larry & Pam divorced because Pam wanted it. Randy had affairs during his marriage to Sara, and she divorced Randy. Sara & Larry were good friends & found solace in each other & then did fall in love. That's how it happened. Larry didn't wa
Thank you for posting this song it gives me something to listen to when I'm thinking about my paw paw. He passed away two years ago due to cystic fibrosis. I miss him so much. He was more like a father to me than my own and life just hasn't been the same without him. My grandmother has been so depressed lately she doesn't want to do anything. She was married to him for 48 years. They started dating at fourteen and never split. I hope I'll see him one day in heaven.
I've enjoyed Larry's music for decades. But I am sad by the "churchianity" treatment around the fact that, after helping launch Randy Stonehill's career, Randy's wife divorced him after falling in love and then "marrying" Larry. Where was the light of truthful treatment, of "Jesus People" honesty? And what are the future ripple effects in terms of legacy and witness to others? Nevertheless, what a gifted artist.
What a great song! I first heard this song on a Christian radio show on my university's campus radio station, about twenty years ago. It was hosted my friend Dwight, one of the most amazing people I have ever known. He passed away three years ago today from cancer. So this song is kind of poignant for me. Thank you for posting it.
One of my favorite Larry tunes. We lost a good one, but our loss is heaven's gain! I'll bring my guitar and we'll jam in heaven Larry. Love ya brother!
