And how come Mr. Vampire, Jerry Dandridge seduces Charley's friend Edward "Evil Ed" Thompson in order to bite him hard?

I loved this movie. I remember watching it on cinemax when I 8 years old in 1986. It inspired me to be a vampire for halloween that year. The remake however, was so/so at best.

Keyboardist Seth took over vocals when Peter Wolf left the band to pursue a (unsuccessful) solo career! This was the first works of the band minus Wolf. I actually think the band had a great sound...but the public wheren't so pleased. Great song, great video!

His first album after leaving Geils was "Lights Out", which yielded a #12 US Hot 100 & #11 Dance chart hit in the title track, & 2 songs that hit #22 & #26 in the MSR charts. Geils one album followup without Wolf was the lackluster "You're Gettin' Even While I'm Gettin' Odd", which only had one single chart, "Concealed Weapons", & that just made it to #63. "Frigth Night" scraped it's way to #91 for the band.

if they were to be fright night part 3 i would like to see rob zombie to direct it and get chris sarandon as the vampire killer to go after vampiress angelina jolie with michael cera at chris's side the great idea of angelina as a vampiress she easily could be the daughter of regine dandridge and have julie carmen as chris's vampire killing wife and micheal cera as the son and to see william ragsdale and amanda bearse as a yuppie couple .

but after he read the script he passed on it and said no then he went on to do 976-evil

the horror shocker directed by robert englund and you will spot the cinema poster

Delightful little oddity from 1986, and one of the VERY few places to hear the very short lived post-Peter Wolf J.Geils Band. (Their one album has been out of print for decades). Still, must admit there was a reason the band didn't make it without Peter.

I thought I recalled a "Fright Night" video by J Geils Band. It wasn't played a lot though. Seth did a nice job and the soundtrack was one of the better ones for a movie. What I thought was interesting was that the stars of the movie "Fright Night" never did a cameo in the video aside from movie clips. My guess is that it was filmed in Boston and it wasn't easy to get the stars together. I wish Geils and Wolf would put together a DVD with all of their videos on it. Geils & Wolf should tour.

This vid is so wonderfully "Eighties"...And it's worth noting that Peter Wolf had already started on a fairly successful solo career by the time this track was released. Still one of my favorite movies and soundtracks from that decade.
