I was looking up laws on full autos. I cant find if its legal to assemble full auto/burst capable rifles after 1986. I always thought that you cannot assemble NEW full auto/burst firing weapons, only the transfer of pre ban class 3 can be allowed (in regards to a civilian). Im no newbie to firearms, you can check my channel for that. And I legally cannot get one anyways (california), but I wanted to know the law anyways. According to my interpretation this bushy lower was preban? Thanks

@V8merc124 Unless he got it from a dealer as a post sample, then yes...it would have to be a pre-86 lower. I haven't heard of any Bushy full auto lowers, but I guess there are some. As far as assembling the gun, it's the lower that is registered, so you could assemble a burst/ full auto rifle, provided that the lower/trigger/sear are registered, and you don't modify their mechanical function. For example, you could buy a registered M16 lower and put a 10" barrel and carbine stock/buffer on it.

I have a question for all AR lovers,myself included! I have a Colt Sporter Target Model, I can squeeze off so many rounds, if the enemy is within the kill zone, he will have already "changed zipcodes" by the time I finish dumping my 30 rd mag. Why are so many people enamored by FULL AUTO or the BURST fire. All FULL AUTO on paper is inaccurate anyway!

fun to play with just not very useful unless you are laying down cover fire. 1st round on target all others anti aircraft fire unless you have the time and money to practice. 3rd burst is better in my opinion than full auto. but the spray and pray method is fun as hell.

the lower would need to have been registered under nfa prior to 1986 to own oh Ohio by a citizen without class 3 ffl. My guess is the op has a class 3 ffl or a friend with one...

@stickmymasta Differs from state to state. but you have to be age 21 or older , Pay 200$ to the police to get a seal and wait to get approved for it . Once you have that you can buy one auto handgun or rifle . Now you have some rules when it comes to storing and using that weapon . Best bet is ask your local police dept and gun shop.
