The reason for skin colour is primarily due to the level of melanin. The skin in countries with a higher degree of sun naturally builds up resistence to that sun. Where it is colder the skin is fairer.
Same goes with hair. Also attraction from the opposite sex affects the likelyhood of a genetic trait being carried forward, so if a society decides, even subconsiously, that something is attractive, then it increases the likelyhood of its success.

The concept is our females MAY have origins from a single female in the past, (there were plenty of other females around at that time, but the DNA seems to have supposedly been purest with this lucy.) A male version of the first man (living thousands of years separately) may have existed. Both never met, never had children, etc. Its not proven yet, so a hypothesis only.

Man look, no one will ever know the truth until it's too late, unless we build a time machine and go back into time. As a Christian, I believe in both. And it's simple:
We use Creationism to create offspring.
We use Evolution to grow from children to adults.
The Planets was "Created" by a collision of asteroids to form a shape, and it took Billions of years to "Evolve" into something habitable for life.

Woah how wrong could you get? God made earth there is no proof of evolution. And if you say there is no god, how is it possible we were created? by accident? There is so much bad in the word because god wants to see who you will trust in. But dont worry in time you will be in hell:)

Yea, we came from a huge asteroid from outer space that smashed into the earth that all the sudden gave us all the abilities to see, touch, hear, smell etc. I cannot stand how arrogant and ignorant these scientist are , and their gonna say that the earth is 4.5 billion years old, and that its a fact?! Where did you get this idea from? Nobody's saying that at all. Senses developed over time through evolution, it has nothing to do with any asteroid.

I go by what the evidence says. I don't need to confirm the results, a) because other people have done that already, and b) you're right, I'm not a professional scientist, so it's not my job. If theories are wrong, they are either discarded or adjusted. This is the scientific method, and it has nothing to do with this "faith" of yours, because it has been proven to work. If you wonder how the age of the earth is determined, look up the research and see for yourself.

No, there is a big difference between religion and science. Science is based on evidence, while religion is based on mythology. How they believe the world was formed is irrelevant, because this is what the evidence tells us has happened.

I don't mind religion, but if you're going to say that modern science is wrong, at least back it up with some evidence.

@Annulable Um, how is there any evidence for how old the world is? How can scientist sit there and say "OH THIS HOW OLD THE WORLD IS AND YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IT CUZ ITS EVIDENCE" or this is why this is because its evidence, what evidence, have you seen this evidence? have you done these test yourself, your basically just believing what somebody says, just like we believe what the bible says, some things in science are very clear, but not to when it talks about how the world was made. sorry guy

@ilovemybod1 It actually makes ALOT of sense if you really put your bias aside and learn it. I love God don't get me wrong, but alot of the ways that christians get the age of the Earth doesn't seem concrete. The Bible never says directly. Some of it makes sense but the alot of it is totally out there. Plus trying to pull soo much info from such vague descriptions doesn't make sense, anyhow.
