I've loved this song for a long time, but never seen the video. This video has an amazing narrative. It tells a story in a very simple and elegant way. There's that whole love triangle going on. The girl is very pretty too. I almost wish I could see what happened next.
OMG, I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU POSTED THIS!!!! I totally forgot about this song and band.... THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! :D Love the VHS quality, so totally 80's love it! :D

damn! vh1 never show this kind video on tv. 80's music the best ever. i mean ever. even mtv. never showed'' fancy-modern talking-joy-cc catch-bad boys blue and the rest of italo disco music? i don't think they have it! boring??????????????
Oh wow how amazing is this? Used to hang out with Vitamin Z when they supported Midge Ure on his solo tour back in 85. Loved them then - never seen this clip though!
@cholnics99 -well he is now actually the manajor of the arctic monkeys !! and he just turned 50, (my dad and him are twins) at his 50th he got his band together and performed some old songs !! but i don't think he writes music anymore :(
LOVE it! I remember seeing this on MTV in the summer of '85. What a year for good music!!!!! Even though I saw this only once, it was "burned" into my memory, the video, the name of the band, the tune. Thanks for posting!
me too, i can't believe that i'm seeing this video again! WOW! i was really amazed! the last time that i've seen this was when i'm in high school, 1st year i think. i'm now 38 y.o., and it is good to bring back memories. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING SIR!
..it really brings back memories..the good high school days..we'll im also 38..and a physician..love to do surgery with new wave song in the background..
Really sir? Its nice to know. WOW! So keep up the good work as a physician, and sanay marami ka pang matulungan na mga kababayan natin. And ingat po sa pagtingin sa mga pasyente dahil baka po madala ka sa tugtog ng NEW WAVE background eh makapugot ka ng ulo.. LOL Goodluck Doc! Mabuhay ka!
OMG, I am so happy to see this video again! I have this single on a 45. I'm dating myself, aren't I? I remember being totally obsessed with this song and played it over and over again... this and A-ha's "Take On Me."
This video is awesome. Totally unlike other videos of the time what with the dramatic underpinings of the triangle between the singer, bass player, and the bass player girlfriend. What do you guys think the story is? I think the singer and the bass player's girlfriend went out very briefly. She was way into him, but he wasn't that into her. my music ministry mates had a great time singing to this song while having their fellowship at a beach. too bad i was working on the day and time they went to the beach, so i wasnt able to go with them. *sigh
I was in my early 20's when this song came out, but as a gay man in Michigan, my sexual experience was nil. I fell in love with the lead singer, and now as a middle aged man, the lyrics have even more poignant meaning now. One of my all time favorites and I thought lost to me forever.
I'm a straight man in Illinois and my sexual experience is nil too. I'm 20. I'm not bicurious, so don't take this as a flirt. I just wanted to let you know it's not always a matter of orientation.
omg this song so reminds me of when my friend got dumped by her boyfriend in HS .. this song so sums it up.. I think she killed her 45 playing over and over..
I might stand alone but this was a very sappy ass song, although the music was ok "you're under my skin and you know darn well" why not "damn well"? yuck! "Everytime I see you" was a much better song.
I have been obsessed with/looking for this video forever! I loved Vitamin Z from the moment I heard this song when I was 13 years old. So glad to have found it. Ta!
I really love this song and video ! To all 80s freaks like me out there, here is a hell of a question I want to be answered : WHY IS THE 80s VERY, VERY, VERY GREAT? Please answer me
An absolutely EPIC song from THE most under appreciated band of the 80's & 90's!!! They were robbed of their just due - but all of their music will always be #1 with me. Any live videos of them out there??? One of the great regrets is not seeing them perform live - heard they toured with Tears for Fears - it must have been SPECTACULAR!
Also this song got a good bit of rotation on Nick Rocks on nickelodeon. I think it used to come on around 5 about the funny show " You cant do that on television came on". It was from Canada and also Alanis Morrisette used to appear on that show when she was a kid. Wow! Time flies!
Their CD is selling for 55 right now on Ebay but past CDs have reached well over 200 and they are usually from Japan. One day I hope to add this to my wifes CD collection but not at 200.00. Great band, great song and great memories!
In 1985 I was in military school in New Jersey, our floor officer, a senior , played this song super loud. Although he was a mean bastard he had different taste in music than the rest of the bon jovi listening zombie cadets.
Yeh, found that out just after I posted the question! but thanks anyway BristolBaggie, who'd have thought it eh? I'm so glad he's still in the business.
They were the support act for Midge Ure when I first saw them and I have to say they stole the show, did have the album at one time but no idea where it is now. Great band and songs - where are they now, anyone know?
hah..hey, thanks...when I saw that it wasn't up...I put it up immediately! I'm really glad too because I've heard from people all over the world, which has been a really cool, totally unexpected experience.
heehee.... depends on which time we are talking about. The ex and I broke up a few times. ;) I also found the song on limewire. Teenage memories!!! :)
I recently was going through a bunch of old 45's at my mom's place, and came across my original copy of this single(w/picture sleeve!) in MINT condition. Great great song, brings back some cool memories.
Oh my god! I can't believe I'd find this music video on YouTube today. This is one of the very first songs I searched on this site more than two years ago, but I couldn't find it. After hearing it over the radio an hour ago, I decided to search for it again. Wow, thanks a lot for the upload! Added to my list of favorites.
really glad I could help you see it again. I'm still amazed at how many people have seen this and still remember this song and video so fondly. Really good times back then.
This is one awesome song! I have this one & "everytime that i see you " on an old video. I have there old CD and it's awesome! Love the mood they set!
I'm still DYING to see the video for 'Everytime That I See You', I saw just the very ending (15-30 seconds) of it 2 times back in 1985! I can't believe how unlucky I was! It was my girlfriend & I's song at the time!
the eighties may have meant big hair and atrocious fashion, but the music was really great. god, got such a kick singing along to this song... buhning flime!
Wow...Big Vitamin Z fan and I have never seen this video. Thanks for posting it. They also did the soundtrack for one of the Howling III...very strange! Someone above mentioned Alone Again Or, another great band...I've got some of their tracks...ah...the 80's!
Wow, YouTube is just magic! I have occasionally thought about this video, which I remembered from the 80's, and wanted to see it again. Now, some 20 odd years later, here it is!
The song is nice, but what I really remembered was the girl, who I thought at the time was one of the most stunningly beautiful women I had ever seen. I was curious to see if I would still think so.
Great to see this video- hadn't seen it before. It took me until 2005 to track down a copy of 'Sharp Stone Rain' on CD- still one of my favourite albums (especially 'Run for Our Lives'). Thanks
what year was this from?

Great band and songs - where are they now, anyone know?
brutube57 3 years ago
I think Geoff their lead singer is now the manager of the Artic Monkeys if that helps

I'm still DYING to see the video for 'Everytime That I See You', I saw just the very ending (15-30 seconds) of it 2 times back in 1985! I can't believe how unlucky I was! It was my girlfriend & I's song at the time!

Yep, I still do! :-)
