  • Just sitting here in the january sun and drinking a cup of fresh japanese green tea.

This music is so beautiful! Thanks a lot for uploading!

  • I just recently found this, I love Traditional music.

  • It's a classic beautifully performed. Congratulations.

  • sounds like the music used at the beginning of the samurai showdown game O_O;

  • 素敵!!!

  • This, Hakusen No, and Tsuru no Sugamori are my very favorites. Thank you for posting this.

  • This sounds like the music from the game Pharaoh.

  • Haha, really, the beginning is very similiar to one of these tracks.

  • ....lost my old kotot and flute album from 1978...now i remember why i miss it so much...pure amd meditative music which clears the mind...thanks...

  • man, maybe i'm not as experienced as you and my interpretation is too attached to technique, but you simplified the music in some parts... well you did some marcations between notes very well, i liked them a lot ^^

    wich style do u follow?

  • maybe i'm beeing stupid, since i'm a bit young and new to shakuhachi (i'm learning tozan), plz don't get me wrong. i'm just used to play in a different way, faster and closer to the chart, the most interpretation i do are some wind intensity effects at some parts

  • Hello-

Not sure what you are thinking of - Takamizu and I played the 6 dans of Rokudan according to the music I have and it matched what Takamizu was playing.

Perhaps you have heard a version with the Kaeta section? Is there a different Tozan version of Rokudan?

There are certain embellishments that I was taught and that yes, I tend to play in a Gaikyoku piece.

Goro Yamaguchi's playing is a huge inspiration in this regard.

As for style, I study and play the Kinko school of Honkyoku.

  • i'm not shure who interpreted the song i use to train, i'll have a camera and scanner pretty soon, i'll try to send you an mp3, or post a video with it until that... i could send you a scan of the chart later

  • *** your interpretation reminds me a bit masayuki koga's on his cd "east wind"

  • increible..sin palabras...

  • AWESOME

  • wow, very well played!

though I myself know nothing about traditional Japanese music i can definitely appreciate the beauty of it.

5stars and a favorite are all i can do for you, but please continue playing and posting vids :)

  • Thank you, ありがとうございました。

    Greetings from Galiza.
