  • I can't do that

  • praying mantis is great against an opponent of equal size and speed. Holds up really good against wing chun because it is very offensive however for me it didnt hold up to good against a bajiquan fighter. Their legs are so strong they're hard to trip with the praying mantis techniques. Baji fighters are extremely grounded, hit really hard, and fast. Its like fighting a boxer who has suddenly gone MMA.

  • @bajiprngmntsxingyi for me it's about the individual, not the style.

  • At first I was like "WTF is this shit???", but then I really, really liked it.

  • Respond to this video... Yeah some of it looks a bit strange out of context.

  • I'd like to see this style vs wing chun.

  • Shifu Tunks,

Love the way you train the responsive sparring with the student in the circle of attackers. We now use this in our school in Ohio, USA. Thanks for the great video!

  • @mooyingmantis Thanks. First step, defence only. Second, defend with single counter. Third, defend with combo counter.

  • @Tunks1

Makes sense, thanks for the further explanation!

  • Must be really tiring if your not in shape haha looks like a good cardiovascular workout also looks like it would heighten your ability to react quick on your feet

  • That's a sick training camp

  • @zozzy711 yeah, was good fun.

  • slap boxing at its best

  • @sasukeKILLSnaruto1 yeah, a lot of open hand stuff at the basic level. check the other clips if you want punches to the head.

  • I like how mantis teaches you how to take on groups. When you see this in something like Hungar, its kinda unrealistic the moves they do, but here, it shows they will not attack you with one weird type of thing. Although I have nothing against Hung gar

  • good stuff as usual

  • Very nice!

  • Absolutely great! Although not a mantis boxer, I can see similarities of things we do in northern shaolin. Very nice to see good hard fu being worked :)

  • Thanks.

  • @IamNorthwind Thats probably because both north and south had mantis kung fu lol. So it should be pretty simliar.

  • excellent training ideas! i really like the concept of sparring by the "jumping in" method where the fighter is surrounded by several peeps who take turns "jumping in". i'm going to adopt this practice in my school. :)

  • Cheers.

  • Always wonderful to see Finpolaustral in action..that is real great tanglang, compliments!
