I consider myself THE die-hard Staind fan, but I can say that Pink Floyd definitely does Comfortably Numb better, Robert Plant does Going to Cali better, and Brent definitely does Simple Man the best (and I'm a serious Skynyrd fan!), among other things. Aaron covers this song amazingly. I have met both Brent and Aaron and I got the chance to talk to them personally. Aaron just has a way about him. Fuckin Awesome...

Ok.... I'm not going to argue about it. A student from Monument, Colorado wrote the song. He dedicated it to his brother that took his own life a while back. His name is acknowledged on the back of the CD.
Didn't mean to bring confusion to the board. Just posting what I know.

yes i aggree with mike eddy.. shinedown does do it better... but i like arron lewis's verson better mainly because he changes it to his own style and it does sound good..

This man is so beautiful and talented that he can take anything and make it sound original. Aaron is definitely one of the best voices in music history, in my opinion.

i just saw him tonight, he toyed with us, and played some of this too but didn't sing the chorus.. he did comfortably numb, intro's to patience, freebird, stairway to heaven a few lines of three backstreet boy songs, some of sexyback lmao and all his hits etc

Not necessarilly true. I consider myself THE die-hard Staind fan, but I can say that Pink Floyd definitely does Comfortably Numb better, Robert Plant does Going to Cali better, and Brent definitely does Simple Man the best (and I'm a serious Skynyrd fan!), among other things. Yes, to me Aaron is hands-down the best singer/songwriter, ever. BUT, I don't think he's perfect or does everything the best...just is more likely to ;) lol

I might have agreed with everything you said until I watched a live version of Simple man by Shinedown on here last night, and that may have been the best vocals I have ever heard for that song. I dont think it's possible to do it any better, than the live video I saw here last night
