i guess that m3 is the evo with the 3.2L engine, it can be seen from the way it kept up with the z4 m!

i think its us spec cuz if im not mistaken... euro m3s always had clear turn signals... honestly its not as hard as you think to tune an e36 to keep up with the 333hp engine
