If I owned an original I would be on the race track every week, as the reason I would buy it was to enjoy what the car was designed to do, defiantly wouldn't let it sit in a garage like the so called collectors who are just after a profit or investment, this owner whether it's a reproduction has my respect in the fact it must be well built to firstly race and secondly be proud of the car he owns! I am speaking on the basis of it being a race prepared car not a mk3 road car.

this isn't an actual GT40... it's a Superformance GT40... how can I tell ?? it's left hand drive.. ALL original GT40's were right hand drive. a BAD ass car none the less. In fact like 85% of the parts from an SPF will fit the original and vise-versa.

The Ford 289 / 305 engines used were Gurney-Weslake V8s, the 427s probably from Shelby.
