American Idol is a SINGING competition. Not who can do a mediocre country or elvis impression. Vocally, no one can deny that Pia, or Haley, even Stefano had better vocal capabilities than Scotty. I am not hating on Scotty though! I like Scotty as a person, but what I am trying to say is that he was not the best singer this year. No one can say that Scotty was the best vocally this season and actually know what they are talking about.

I respect your opinion, and my opinion is that Scotty is just mediocre! @CarnageSparky Well I don't think of country that way. They tend to sing about life the way they know it. But then hip hop, rock , metal all have their own niches, they don't know the other side. I myself am Hawaiian, so don't look upon any genre as the essential or main type of music, I like Hawaiian as well. I like Dance, some country, pop, some rock. Cowboys, Native Americans, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians are all part of this countries history, so to focus on one isn't the reason for our woes.
