I used to feed my hermit crabs grapes, celery leaves, and orange slices. Those little critters could eat almost anything; I didn't have to go all the way to a pet store for food.
I had three small hermit crabs a couple years back. They were an enjoyable pet to have ^.^ Too slow to get away and fun to let wander around on cloudy days :P
I put an apple slice in my hermit crabs cage be four I went to sleep I woke up the next day it was completely gone! I dint think one hermit crab could eat that much in one night I was all like O.O he might be getting ready to molt though, I don't know but it was still very surprising! :D
