OMFG, thats a sweet run shaolin, ive been practicing 7 hours of my day and i got to 1:32!! i'll keep on practicing if i ever beat you (seems impossible since everything went perfect just like on your vid) i'll post my vid here =o. anyways i saw your other speed runs and i'm not ever gonna even try xD. shit this game is so addictive!
Yes, you have to die just at the beggining of the level, and you will restart the level from this place and not from the boss of the act 1^^ So you can win easily 5 seconds :p

good stuff, only thing is you need to time your spin dashes better. You are holding them a tiny bit too long . Great work with the bubble though.

Lava reef act 2 for example, u start normally in the boss, but after dead you start near the fire thing. That saves up some seconds xD

How do you start near the bonus level with 0 seconds? There's gotta be a trick behind that ^^
