  • Hey im looking to buy the garrette ace 250 or the garrette 150 which do you think i should get?

  • @TonyGreens99 If you can afford a bit more go for the 250. it has a few more settings and has a pinpointer. Both good machines though!

  • Whites coinmaster!!!!!

  • Whites coinmaster!!!!!

Found alot... 3 rings. and alot of relics..

  • with the garrett ace 250 use all metal mode, dig all signals except iron, yeah your gonna dig loads of crap aswell but in england a lot of hammered coins come under foil and ring pull so ya gotta dig everything

  • @sidnallie47 good tip! Thanks!

  • The problem I have with mine is that the tone is the same PITCH (as in note on a piano key) for a coin or aluminum, or anything accept iron. Iron is the only one with a low tone. When I'm on a trashy area, a lot of times, there are tons of shorter, some fairly lengthy signals, that have the same pitch tone as the Bell Tone. It is such a happy sounding tone, like Wheel Of Fortune, for example that it becomes annoying. The only thing I notice about coins, silver, is the Bell Tone repeats more.

  • @biggstile Its the price range! You get what you pay for! Even though the high end machines still read pull tabs as coins! Just watch some of the vids on here! I can usually tell if its a rubbish signal just by the size of the pinpoint area A can will sound the pinpoint signal over a wider area than a coin size object. Not always right but thats part of the fun!

  • a great machine these are, perfect, the KEY to any machine and this one as well, is to do the Table or Bench test over and over until you got it ,no matter what country you in, just test each coin with friend and write down each reading for each coin, listen to the SOUND it makes as well, do gold and silver JEWLLERY and NOTE the sound and reading, when you have the rythem/idea of reading and sound,Hunting is unreal and your on top of it each time, KEEP PRACTISING,TOO EASY IN THE END,Ace 250 Exc!!!

  • @barnfresh60 Good post! Thanks!

  • Hi, Pay close attention to the sound of the gold coin it don't have the bell tone!!. It has the same sound as nickle or pop top. So if you want to find gold such rings or gold coins dig those odd sounds. The ACE 250 will always have "bell tone" for coins other then gold. RON

  • @digmaster777 you are right! It makes the calibration decals on the readout useless some metals sound like others. you just can`t trust the instructions or, even, good advice I have two gold rings that read different on this machine! All you can do is go with the sounds you know and instinct! Thanks for watching!

  • is tesoro better than this

  • @noir0222 No idea! I know they are good machines but I have never used one. Thanks For watching!

  • Great video. Thank you.

By the way, you should wrap your cable OVER the shaft instead of under so the coil won't put it under stress.

    Best of luck..!!

    Happy Hunting..!!

  • @mcge Thanks for the tip!

  • whats the price from the 250 and the 150 and how deep it go with a simple penny

  • @ambiepuur555 you will have to shop around for the price and not sure on the penny! Never tested it! Thanks for watching!

  • do you like the 250 better than the 150?

  • @blowgunking1994 It has a few more settings and it pinpoints, unlike the 150! It is exactly the same apart from those differences! Great little detector. With practice you can usually tell, sometimes, what your going to get.

  • Nice demo ! ! ! ! ! !

  • @christofice Cheers!

  • nice air test mate, i noticed how true the readings were in the coin mode, it was spot on,sure helps when your out in the field a good reading thats correct.now for an air test with australian coins ?? cheer,s mate down under

  • @barnfresh60 Cheers!

  • i love my garret ace 250 its great beginners one but u will dig everything to begin with have u found anything good :)

or lots of ring pulls :) i must have dug loads up

  • Tons! cans as well! The machine is set up for US coins. Why can`t they make UK versions set up for our coins and roman, saxon, celt coins? I bet you would still find ring pulls!

  • When u waved the gold coin across the ace you said it rang under the penny. What does the bar to the right of the penny represent? Because when you go from the right to the left, you have 5 coin, but when it comes to the penny, it fall under the sixth bar from the right which should not be penny but gold! what do you say?

  • Not sure but it is still in the gold range (I think!)

  • Great job, its guys like you that save newbies the job of doing this themselves!

  • Thanks!

  • Nice job on the video !!

  • Cheers!

  • howdy molester,,,what part of the uk do you hunt, and whats your fave find so far? ive had some old coins with my ace 250,but my fave is a muskett ball,,keep posting mate:)

  • Same here! A Musket ball! I love the idea of holding these old things knowing that the last person to hold it died 3-4 hundred years ago. Maybe shot during the English civil war with one!

  • It says in the Garrett manual that you should wrap the wire from the coil over the shaft to being with, not under the shaft.

That should keep the wire away from the coil instead of using tape.

Anyway, thanks for the vids, i got my Ace 250 about a month ago, 54 coins so far ;)

  • Great test liked the video, P.S. please send me the coins so i can try it out HA HA.

  • ok! Just send you addr..........WAIT A MINUTE!!!

  • moleman, Thanks for that great test on the ace 250 . I myself use the ace 250 and I will keep in mind all that great tips,GL & HHUNTING TO YOU!! PAT

  • Thanks for that Pat! Keep hunting!

  • Nice job... Nice machine!! GL & HH
