Wow haven't heard from this guy since I saw him in the Woodstock documentary.I remember being amazed at his hand speed and his intensity,so today I decided to find out what his story was and can't wait to hear more.
Is it just me or does he have a bit of a latino accent? The way he speaks reminds me of how Carlos speaks, maybe it rubbed off on him after all those years of being with him and the rest of the band.
Man this is very cool. I grew up in SF and started taking drum lessons in 1970 from a guy named Bob Frediani. After my first lesson Bob asked me who my favorite drummers were and what style I wanted to play and I just said like Mike Shrieve and David Garibaldi. He just smiled and said something like "Well then we've got work to do" and laughed like hell. IMO those two are among the best ever.
@Ranametalera sounds like you have limited club experience, the sounds you're hearing in the background is someone sweeping the floor and using a dustpan that folds up as you lift it,sweeping up cig butts no doubt done it a million times myseff. " The more you know"...
@justaman6972 i see and i understand it but, there's no way to ask those persons to stop doing that while the interview is rolling? i mean, my comment was rude but i was just thinking in live voice you know ;) peace brother !
@Ranametalera well my guess is its real f'ing early in the morning either the club just closed or is preping for an opening and the doofuss sweeping is still half drunk and wanting to go home and passout, or he's an asshat and doesn't give a shit about the noise. your comment wasn't rude at all, totally dig it man. Some people are turds in the punchbowl. Johnny broomstick is one of them. I mean its Sanatana's drummer geezuz on a stick man! Peace
buena entrevista pero pasen muchas mas ,sus fans queremos saber todo de el ,de sus trabajos en solitario hasta hoy ,pero deben traducirlas en español .
Does this make you feel old or what, first time I've seen him in the flesh since Woodstock.
