This game is not as crowded as it used to be..

A lot of outposts are empty and almost nobody is doïng missions anymore..

Besides, most people prefer to get things done with CPU heroes instead of real people... this kinda spoils the entire point of an online game.

u can buy any one and start playing

there is 1 expansion which is Eye of the North that require you to have one campaign of the 3.

@xXAcrobatixX Basicly you play as a Hero in the land of Tyria. It starts off as you protecting Ascalon but *No spoilers* Something happens that drives you out and you end up as a Refugee. Then a great evil force want's to empose a false religion on the Tyria and you fight them off... Sorry it's hard to explain without Spoiling it. @xXAcrobatixX Added to that, the whole thing was Free to play online. I would Recomend GW to anyone, Because for a long time it was my Favourite Game. It's an MMORPG, and so will GW2. BUT GW2 is rewriting what a MMORPG should be and it's even more Hero based then GW1. I sar Hero bassed because the whole games theme is to make you the player be the Hero of the land. Hope that helps, and I would recommend Getting GW2 even if you didn't play GW1 because It'll be awesome! :D *Big GW Fan*

@xXAcrobatixX It's an MMO that is much more focused on story and party play. It plays very much like a single player RPG except you get to have real players in your party. It's cheap(now that the sequel will be coming out soon) , It has an EPIC!!! storyline...EPIC Music composed by Jeremy Soule and it actually was superior to WoW in terms of PvP for a long time . There's too much to talk about in a paragraph on youtube, but i suggest you try it for free on the guildwars website :)

@jtdswhc Yes when you make accounts they are their for ever unless you delete them on WoW. Just like GW if you make an account it adds to the amount of players, just because there are 12 million accounts in WoW doesn't mean everyone of them is still active. The game is dying face it... Other new upcoming mmo games will just deal the last few blows. However Guild Wars 2 will deal the final blow and eventually become the new king of mmo's. I really loved playing Guild Wars, I really enjoyed playing WoW too, The only problem I had with WoW was the lack of in game story, sure there was a back story, but there wasn't any story about your character, The only thing I didn't like about guild wars was the lack of exploration, I mean sure it'd take a long time to explore the world in it like any game, but it was limited, Guild Wars 2 will be an awesome story, with plenty of free exploration of it's great world.

@barbelotta It depends if you play PvE or PvP. PvE in GW2 will be much better than in GW1, but we don't have much information about the PvP of GW2. GW1's PvP is great, and I'm wondering if GW2's PvP can compare to it since there are no monks and the builds are more limited. But on the other hand, it's quite hard to play HA/GvG nowadays since there sometimes isn't enough people to play them. GW2 will propably have a larger community, so you don't have to spend 20 mins forming a group like in HA.

@ji3200 Late response, but, yes a lot of people still play guildwars and it is still receiving large content updates (all of which are free, they fund it with an item shop but all items are purely cosmetic, eg. no lame gameplay advantages for people with too much money). In any case, even if 0 people played the game, you can still get through 99% of the game with NPC's as team mates (called heroes and/or henchmen).
