  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Actually, that's precisely what I mean, yes.

  • @MaestroDraven can you run POSIX compatible software natively on your win machine?

  • @kxosz9

Actually, yes you can. Look it up.

  • @MaestroDraven after installation of the UNIX compatibility support yes. I knew that it was POSIX compatible. Should i have used the word "out of the box" instead of natively?

  • @kxosz9

well seeing as how POSIX is there to solidify compatibility between several different OS's (not just UNIX), I fail to see what your point is. I'm talking software suites that OSX can't run without bootcamping Windows...not programming layers.

  • yeah n00b

  • mac is better than pc period

  • @benja367 fanboy n00b.

  • Nobody that have tried a Mac ever went back again to a PC, say no more...

    It's a one way track !

  • @pablof59 I went with mac once. It just couldnt do the same things pcs could do. And to attempt to do similar things was hours of work and headaches. I just installed bootcamp and messed around osx when I was bored and used windows 99% of the time.

    Never getting another mac again.

  • @Zompac

Ironically enough, I do precisely the same thing with my paralleled Snow Leopard install. I think I've tinkered with the thing only a few times before switching right back to Windows 7 to do literally everything else. OSX bored me very, very quickly, and there's no way I could ever justify buying a Mac knowing this. There's simply more freedom and versatility on a PC, and I like being able to do what I want ,when I want, instead of having to play by Apple's rules.

  • @MaestroDraven and what can you do in windows thats cant be in osx?

  • @IgnorantPCFanboys

Well, I can start with the simple fact that Windows is an absolute necessity for anyone looking for full software compatibility. That would be a big thing right there.

  • @MaestroDraven what does " full software compatibility" mean? that you can do things in windows that cannot be done in osx?

  • @pablof59 Really? How do you know that? Did you get in contact with all 10 MAC owners around the world to confirm it? If you did, did they give you their reason? You know, the one where they didn't have any money leftover after they bought their overpriced MAC to spend on logical money-wise investments. Jus sayin... =)

  • @JamesKravenwolf Actually I found only 9 (Justin Long was out of range). Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !!-))

  • @pablof59 lol. Justin Long secretly uses PCs (just look at the computer he carried around with him in Die Hard) ;)

  • avis pro for pc is better than final cut pro just saying

  • Steve did not create anything. BTW both -windows and iOS suck, linux FTW

  • @thousandfootkrutchro The last version of windows that I used is Windows XP and it wasn't bad. It was a very stable and easy to use os. So, no complaints there. Than they launched Vista and that when I went to Apple. I'm using Apple since 2001 and it still runs great, so I see now reason to go back to Windows. Plus windows gets al the time attacked by viruses and on mac there are less.

  • @alfinete01 no one forced you to use vista

I was using a XP computer for quite a number of years before I got my new one with Win7 last year.

  • windows 7 > mac os

  • @BBBlackHawkkk Actually Windows 8 > Widnows 7 > Ubuntu > OSX.

  • @BBBlackHawkkk It's actually the other way Mac Os -> Windows (any version). Because it's Steve Jobs how actually created the graphic user interface when he was working with Next.

  • @alfinete01 Steve didn't create the GUI, he bought it off of Xerox

  • @wilhamlin So true.

  • @wilhamlin I use Mac and I knew it. :P He said it himself in a video. I don't hate Windows or Mac. But sometimes I hate the way Windows works....

  • that fanboy is stupid, fucking stupid.

  • I'm reading here that many pc's users repair their pc's with linux. Why don't they use linux instead of windows. It's a free open source os that is also very stable. I'm a mac user by the way, but if I had known that there was a free open source os before I got my mac I wouldn't choose neither mac or windows. I would had buy a pc and put linux ubuntu on it.

  • @alfinete01 Yeah and Apple uses Windows XP to do all their checks for every product before they are sold. So why don't you use Widnwos XP? I have never used Linux to repair any of my PC's(have only had one out of the 10 or so my family owns mess up) most PC companies will put in repair programs that might use a form of Linux but you can repair a PC with Windows.

  • @alfinete01 Currently, the only reason I'm running Windows is because of steam. Sure you can use Wine, but at the cost of ALOT of performance. Until steam releases a stable and just as good performing client for linux, I'm switching. Oh wait, now I have to wait for Origin too because of BF3... damn it.

  • @alfinete01 can't play games on ubuntu :)

  • @alfinete01 We (PC (Windows) users) usualy use pirated version of Windows, downloaded from utorrent which Windows is still supported as well. :3

  • Mac > PC

  • @OAculO Nope.avi

  • @bood420 pwn2own

  • It remains to be seen if mac users will use their computer for actual work and not just dicking around.

  • for mee windows is 'better' than mac os x.

if you have a problem with your pc repair it yourself.

and if it crashes repair it with a 'linux cd'

    So NO extra costs

  • If you have the money to buy a Mac, buy a mac.

If you dont, then buy a PC.

WHATS THE FUCK DIFFERENCE? BOTH WASTE YOUR TIME.

  • @THEJamgun

the difference is, several thousand dollars on high end systems, and I doubt anyone would be willing to piss that away.

  • @THEJamgun i have the money for a mac but i have pc's

why should you buy a mac.

they are so easy to use that the user is getting stupid.

So buy a pc and just take a good antivirus.

And if it crashes repair it yourself with linux.

  • thats so true!

  • Macs are better than PCs. I used to have a PC and it just pissed me off all the time because it was slow and I hated the viruses when it finally got to the point where it gave me a headache to use my PC I ditched it and got a mac and I LOVE IT!!!

  • @mitchisgott777 its called a virus scan lol

  • @mitchisgott777 You do realize a Mac is a PC as well? If you're too casual and brainless, don't buy a computer at all. If you really need that child interface OS X offers you, you should just go outside and play with a ball.

  • @TocsDK ok yes i know that a mac is a PC also because it is a personal computer but i used it because it is how most people think that PC is windows that is why i said it that way

  • Mac fanboys- the most arrogant, ignorant, ill-informed, pricks ever.

  • "Normal" Mac users are "Retarded", they pay 30% more for a computer so others think they are "Cool"

  • @mcihak1219 Other ppl are retarded to think mac is cool...They're just overpriced.

  • @mcihak1219 mac yours can afford 1 pc yousers are just poor

  • @myOrangePC pcs are not better then macs your just a pc fanboy macs and pcs both have their ups and downs all you fanboys make normal pc or mac users look retarded.

  • @Rustyloveproductions Chuck norris ate a pc and shit out a mac.

  • I wonder how many PC users, never get to reformat their machines, till the new operating system comes out.

I already know the answer for Mac users, so don't bother!

  • Chuck Norris uses a PC ;D

  • I always find it amusing how i could get the same spec as in a mac for far less money because i think for myself and pick more efficient and reliable parts.

The fact that macboys would defend it by saying blah blah apples software is bettter and with a more stable OS is plain idiocy and makes me want to find a mac and smash it with a hammer.

  • thinking about it now tho... maybe im too harsh towards iFags. lets face it, if u have no interest in computers or learning how to use one beyond casual use, then mac's a good choice. friendly, simple & intuitive (albeit expensive).

PCs are more for the power user, gamer, and business. if you dont know what ur doing, u can easily fuck it up. advanced machine only recommended for advanced users ;)

if it werent for overzealous fanbois, we wouldnt bash on macs so much. tho its still fun to :3

  • @xailu34 UNIX and Linux are for the power user ;) Oh wait OS X (Mac) is UNIX. Don't worry, i also use a Windows machine. But you're basically right, for someone who doesn't know what he's doing i'll clearly recommend a Mac. But if you're a UNIX God and in need of commercial software, Mac might be the only working solution. You have the Adobe Suite for example and can bash the terminal command window with your own or POSIX compatible program :)

  • @kxosz9

Mac isn't UNIX. It's Unix-compliant. Big, big difference. That kernel has been bastardized to death. It's why OSX has none of the security that Linux has by default.

  • Add the end, PC says,"Learn to take a joke". So, all that he said about pc's being better was a joke. makes sense. This was either a poorly thought out video to strike at mac, or it just stated the truth about mac's supiriority. I think i'll go with the later.

  • well I'm afraid Mr. Tim Cook lied to you. Gartner, IDC, and Canalys all quote around %10 up to as late as Q4. I don't know where he got this magical %20.7 from. I also cannot locate any chart from NPD to verify crapple's claim. It looks like they intentionally mislead consumers again...

  • sry for any spam like posting... apparently youtube is acting retarded for me. think i removed all the extras... i think...

  • Comment removed

  • Stupid Mac fanboys, you really think PC's are not good at productivity?? Then how did all businesses come about in the USA and in the world if 97% of computers out there are PC's. But your pride won't let you accept this fact. Just watch, someone will reply back.

  • @ZR1Terror sometimes I hear 97% sometimes I hear 90%. Where'd you get your figures?

  • @DMAN123223 Round Two!

    PC Global Market shares:

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    PCs ---> 90.3%

    Apple ---> 09.7%

    ^^ includes iPad/iPhone (lolwut?)

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    Src: Canalys estimates Q4 2010

The BS skinny is that iPad and mobile computing devices (aka their iPhones) "affect general computing in a big way", so apparently those sales now count towards the PC market starting like Q2 2010 or something... or so I read.

  • @xailu34 interestingly enough, thats right when their shares jumped up to a whopping %10 from the previous %4.5 or something(it was pretty low). Hmm, I wonder if that was just coincidence... :3

  • @xailu34 Yeah I guess some countries either don't sell macs or can't afford them, market share in America however is I believe around 20% as noted in apples "back to the mac" press release.

  • @DMAN123223 no. my figures are correct, garnered from Apple's website themselves. Who buys their ram from Apple? every noob u convince to switch because they have no idea about computers. what next, you gonna cry that noone buys HDDs or CPUs from apple too? lol

apple's press release was lying then. all i turn up is %10 in the US src: Gartner. you will have to provide source, or a link, otherwise ur point is moot.

  • @xailu34 The hell? My prices were from the apple website too, I selected the the product and then hit the buy now button, what did you do? Yeah no one buys ram from apple, because you can buy ram elsewhere. ht tp : [slash] [slash] events [dot] apple [dot] com [dot] edgesuite [dot] net [slash] 1010qwoeiuryfg [slash] event [slash] index [dot] html is the keynote. It's about 40 min long but it's near the beginning.

  • @DMAN123223 @DMAN123223 yea thats just how i did it on apple's site too O_o what options did you leave out or not choose the max for? Also what size screen did you click on, maybe that's it...

checking out the link in the meanwhile (im cursing you for making me install quicktime). btw how is :3 used in weeaboo world? outside of that its cleverness, irony, sarcasm, and playfulness... it varies greatly

  • Oh, did you add another terabyte for the hard drive? That would have made the price go up 200 (besides, who uses not 1 but 2 terabytes?) Also ram can be bought else where for much cheaper soooooooooo that got me $2200 on the quad core Imac with the I-7.

Most people use the kona face if they want to troll, but the original and true meaning is just thinking in a "cute" way.

  • @DMAN123223 im afraid $2200 is still overpriced/overhyped:

    P7P55D-E (USB3, eSATA, SATA3, X-fire) | Core.i7@2.93 | 16GB@1600

    2TB Seagate | Radeon.HD6870 | 4x BluRay Combo writer

    27in VA2702w monitor 1080p | +peripherals

    PC: $1749.54* vs. iMac: $2200.00**

    You save $449.46

*$1471.55 if i match iMac specs.

**4GB@1333, 1TB hdd, no bluray, no eSATA (spc request?), no SLi/X-fire, lesser videocard (cannot upgrade), no USB3, SATA2.

PCs are moar bang for ur buck. Who doesn't like that? =)

  • @xailu34 $1750 budget, get 6870... lolwut....16gb ram lol u srs?.... i7@2.93 u must be jking.

$1500 buys u crossfire 6950's with a sandybridge at 4ghz+ and a SSD swap drive, with a triple monitor setup.

  • @xailu34 Macs are getting more bang for the buck and you buy a mac because they are generally better quality. But PC's can be pretty good to.

  • @forthelulz32 Where do you get that? Look at the specs listed as one of the top comments and see how much bang for your buck you get with PC.

  • @xailu34 mmmh ... Windows 7 PRO €329 in italy ... 430 $ with today currency ... byt imagine that they are $ 329, you left 120 dollars: have enough to buy a webcam! Cool and chep! =)

  • @xailu34 I realize your comment came before the new imacs but still the monitors they use are more than 1080p and are $1000 or about $800 if you get like a dell monitor. Plus OSX is sooo much better than Windows 7 and I have tried both, or you could at least choose linux thats pretty awesome also.

  • @xailu34 LOLOL! You're calling me a weeaboo when he's the one using the face? Sure I like anime, but that doesn't mean I like Japan. It's like saying I like Hawaii because I like Hawaiian shirts.

  • @DMAN123223 I don't remember where I got the figures from man, but I do remember the 97%

  • @ZR1Terror: just because everyone uses them doesn't make them better..it's cause they're cheap..most people shop at Wal-Mart for clothes vs Express Man and Buckle and Dolce & Gabbana doesn't make or mean Wal-Mart Is better

  • hmm guess what im using to watch this video A PC macs a hunk of shit

  • hey if u spent $3000 on something that was only good for videos and trend setting for about a year n a half until obsolescence... you'd defend it to tears too ;)

  • @Solidox2k Right, because macs are totally 3 grand. Seriously, look your figures up next time pal.

  • @DMAN123223 A challenger appears!

    iMac - 2.9ghz 8gb ram = $2,599 before tax. (max option ~$3,349)

Mac Pro - Starting at $2,499 (cheapest option, u DONT wanna see the max)

    Mac Book Pro - 15in 2.6ghz 4gb ram @$2,199 (max option $2,849)

max options refer to changes in processor, ram, and hdd selections (excluding SSD). $3,000 wasnt really that far off now was it :3

  • @xailu34 a kid who quotes SSB appears!

Who on earth buys their ram from apple? Imacs as far as I can see cost at most about 2000 on the quad core from apple. Your figures about the pros are fine. The most expensive macbook pro is $2299, not $2849

don't use the Kona-chan face if you don't even know what it is or how to use it.

  • Fuck mac fanboys they make normal Mac users like me look retarded

  • @drrobertoboogie97 There's a good way to avoid looking like a jackass. Buy a PC.

  • @DoGeeseSeeGod24 Maybe I'll skip.

  • @drrobertoboogie97 Shut up you retarded fanboy

  • @drrobertoboogie97 Normal user dont care about Appl logo on his machine ;) Important is to feel good working on your own machine. It doesnt matter which one it is.

  • This is so true! When I'm using a mac I feel like its controlling me rather than me controlling it...

  • I'm mac's fanboy and i'm proud of it.

  • @nanotek2711 Are your proud of paying double the price your computer is worth?

  • @viharsarok yeah double the price double the service quality.

  • @nanotek2711 Provided you pay double the money for another PC. If you pay double the money for a Mac, you get the same or worse service quality. I'm sorry, but Mac is a rip off.

  • windows è una merda.. è inutile insistere..

  • Who cares if PCs are better for gaming? Let's be professional here, unless all you care about is gaming, not productivity.

Macs are better because Apple makes the software and hardware and everything just runs much smoother. Also, you don't have to update things every 10 minutes.

Oh what else? Almost all my computer science professors at UC Berkeley (#1 Comp sci program in the nation tied with MIT and Stanford) use Macs.

  • @Hockeysktr17 You're right, you don't have to update. All those confusing hardware upgrades, Mac doesn't have to worry about. Just spend $2,000+ on a new Mac every so often.

  • @Hockeysktr17 Apple hasn't made it's own software in almost 10 years. They now use intel, nvidia, etc. Computer science teachers use Macs because it's the only kind of computer that can easily run the Mac OS. Therefore if you want to make a program for mac you can only test it on a mac, unless you want to work real hard to make a hackintosh.

  • @Hockeysktr17 PC's are better for gaming AND professional productivity AND everything else. Macs suck.

  • @bood420 and.... it actually is "their" dumbass..

there is used like "there are 5 apples"

    their "it's their tools"

    they're "they're stupid"

    like you...

  • @bood420 if you buy a computer for something besides gaming you're a total idiot...

  • @Akrubas Your an idiot if you think gaming is the only thing computers are good for. Some people just want to be able to send emails and search the web and get on facebook not everyone is a nerd like you.

  • @Akrubas so you are saying that programmers don't exist, because after all programmers don't buy computers for gaming, and they are actually quite smart

  • @bood420 hey i know 60 year old men that make custom pc's and love games like call of duty bfbc2 flight simulator w.o.w. and others

  • THATS SO TRUE ABOUT MAC USERS THEIR TOOLS

  • @WatchmenDrManhattan not all users, just fanboys...

its the same with Windows fanboys too

  • @WatchmenDrManhattan Hey man not all mac users are tools. Some just prefer it over windows. I know plenty of people who prefer windows>Mac OS X. those guys aren't tools either. Then there are the PC fanboys... WHO ARE FUCKING ANNOYING

  • Comment removed

  • Macs are exellent for certain jobs especially those in the arts field, and macs never get viruses. I prefer PC however because its cheaper and i like gaming on them.

  • @SkankinRobots Easy to say when people aren't interested in making viruses for 8% of the market share of computers. Mac's are not any better at not getting viruses, there just aren't many virus's for them.

  • @shipleyshipster which means they dont get them. see my point?

  • @SkankinRobots I see the point, I just think that the point that they don't get viruses makes it seem to consumers like they are better somehow at fighting them off, which just isn't true. People brag about how their Mac doesn't get viruses, and how their PC always did, when they were too stupid to install anti virus software in the first place.

  • @SkankinRobots

you do realize macs have no physical advantage over any os when it comes to graphic design or video production, right? they were better 5 years ago when they were still using PPC

  • @schmidtbag i posted that comment a long time ago i honestly dont give a shit now

  • Viruses are made on macs and sent to pcs. Hows that apple fags

  • i heard 1 humor about macs:

    - do you know, why your honey doesnt catch a virus?

    - why?

    - because no one fucks her, thats why mac doesnt catch viruses, because no one fucks it, because no one cares about it, any virus comes to mac, notice thats imac, and says: fuuu, mac,

    and runs to windows.

i tryed to translate it from my language so sorry for bad english...

  • i use a mac and a pc, and honestly i like the mac better for most things. the only thing i *really* like better about the pc is how much better it is for gaming and FLstudio. i think the biggest downfall of pc is how vulnerable they are to viruses. im not an apple fanboy, ive always hated the iphone and i have an android phone that i use for music, and i had an ipod that i havent picked up in years.

  • Basically, PC users understand that they have the lesser machines, so they act out in fits of rage like the ones found in the comments of this video, and even Pro-Mac videos. I honestly don't care about which one is better, but it's pretty hilarious to watch PC's defend their PC's with pride and attack Mac users too feel better about themselves XD

  • @iUzakiR And if I were to ask you "what makes the PC a "lesser machine?" You'd be like "Duhhh... errnnnhh... uhhh... it doesn't even have a glowing Apple or LEDs in its keyboard!"

  • @ipodmacguru

Oh, Movie Maker is shit for sure. But Win 7 (in my own experience) is absolutely great. Maybe you just had a bad experience.

  • @ipodmacguru If it took you 30 minutes to add a caption , you were either A) overtaxing your RAM, B) Using a shit video editor, or C) Were using a shit video editor while overtaxing your RAM.

I run with Adobe Premier Pro on a Cor 2 Duo with Win 7, and I can edit, render, and finalize 10 Minutes of HD video...with WELL MORE than just captions, in about 1/2 an hour. Don't blame the computer, blame the programs.

  • Comment removed

  • i admit that i just moved from windows to mac OS X and my opinion is thta mac is better because a mac is a high ality, no virus computer, and also if you like the mac itself but you want windows, you can run windows on it...So basically with a mac you get the best of both. Also @Frap357 we dont back down because we know that mac is a more advance computer and we dont like people who dislike it because they know it's better, and anyway as i said you can run windows on it too !

  • @xXMeGuyXx

    1) Macs CAN AND DO get viruses. Fact: Macs have more natural security, but overall, less security against viruses. Virus definitions change constantly, whereas Macs change (update) on a periodical basis.

    2) Dollar for tech, PC's win out against macs every time. I can pay 5 G's for a custom super PC, but pay up to four times that for a mac of the same tech specs.

    3) Do the research if you think I am lying.

  • Hey I've been running on pc's for a while, and the only time they fuck up is because, I did something to fuck it up.

  • Jesus is a Mac?

    Awwww :(

  • mac fanboys are the ones I just don't get...many times I have had mac users yelling at me how much they hate Windows, but then would say how cool it is to have a mac and all the Windows applications they can run from the mac...

  • why is jesus a mac ??

  • why mac vs pc? mac's are also pc's. but i agree with this video, mac fanboys are stupid. >=)

  • thats why mac users love Sadomaso

  • Oh yeah, well let me tell you one thing. PC's are one and strong reason for me to change to a mac, and DON'T regret paying every cent. My last 2 PC's lasted only less than 2 years, and you think i'm going to make the same mistake again for a third time? Hell no!!!

  • @alnpel My room-mate had his last $2200 macbook for 14 months before it crashed and died and he was told it would cost him another 2k to fix it.

My $900 laptop has lasted me 5 years and is still going strong...

  • I prefer Windows 7, but Macs are still good. It's just those we've come to know as "Macheads" that I can't stand. I wish people would treat computers more like the tools than they are, rather than playing this silly game of "my toy is cooler than your toy."

That said, owning a Mac does not automatically make you a(n)

    -Musician

    -Photographer

    -Intellectual

  • every one who's bitching about games needs to get a life.

    Macs Rule

  • your the one bitching about a worthless piece of shit which looks like its being designed by a fucking 10 yr old. PC gaming is as big as console gaming. so fuck off and fuck your idick. :)

  • fail

  • @TheMannerou pwn2own

  • Funny vid :)

  • owned

  • Ahahaha

  • Things which are indisputable: George W. Bush was a great president, cheaters never prosper, and Macs are awesome.

You can argue against these bedrocks of truth, but you'd only be wasting your time.

  • @dnddays true

  • k the first two are good but macs blow there s almost no modern games that can be properly supported by a mac

trust me ive attempted to play red orchestra, CoH, Spore and command and conquer red alert 3 every time the mac crashed while trying to load the games main menu

  • ..................

  • Macs are for fags. The only reason why owners can't stop arguing is that they feel that if they can win an argument it will justify them buying such a shitty computer for way to much money

  • @chillybawls your a fag

  • Aww. Butthurt because someone knows what they're talking about?

Oh well, I guess it must be how you react after spending $1,000 more on a logo.

  • @chillybawls Macs are way overpriced, and I'll happily list their flaws, but in the overall they are in no way, "For fags" and are not, "Shitty". They are well built with a solid OS to back it up is all.

  • @chillybawls hmm i think you are wrong. owners of a mac just want to make people clear that thinks uhh 1200$ damn thats a high price hmm so i buy a pc. but if you want a pc with the same things like for example the 21.5" imac you first have an big fat box under your desk second you have to buy a screen and a mouse and keyboard and have a lot of wires and then the same processor etc. but in the end the pc will be the same price as the mac but it´s ugly...and cmon windows? its just unstable!

  • @FlowWaletzkow actually another mac user said that to me. So i put down the price of a fully maxed out 12 core mac. And then outdid the specs on pc with a 42" screen and keyboard and mouse and guess what the pc came out cheaper. lol

  • @chillybawls I completely agree. Everyone I know who has one constantly says how much better they are than PCs. It's as if they're suffering from buyers' remorse and they feel the need to reassure themselves that they didn't waste a shit load of money, even though they did.

  • Fanboys suck. They are biased to only one side and blindly follow anything that is related to their side.

  • Why fly with Sas?? when you can crash with windows?

  • @ebbe93 Why get hacked in 10 seconds with mac when you can feel safe with Windows?

  • Simple...

Mac is like a Car Manufacturer

& PC is a Chop shop garage.

    No guaranteed QoS. :P
