  • Why ?*** LoL/ It was not a CoOl move! It was Fu***sIlLy and over induldgent! There is only one version of this song! ....SoRrY***** LOL

  • A song to dream, and remember of the mystery of christmas of childhood

  • hmmmmm dunno

  • sucked

  • very fun and twas a fine thing to hear on xmas morning. all the best to one and all in the new year. five stars for you!

  • Is this singer the same one as the one who sang the other (original) version? He is quite a good-looker.

  • No,that isn't Greg singing.

  • @umbrellashade The photo looks like an original photo of Greg Lake of Emerson, Lake and Palmer fame, but I can assure you, this is not Greg singing (he IS the composer of this song)

  • Ah, he has a proper west country accent, I love it.

  • This is an atheists view regarding, Christmas.

"They told me a fairy story, till I believed in the Israelite",proves it.

  • Perhaps is athiest is a little strong. Certainly a disheartened view.

  • Audiophile55 is right ,ELP has a song called Hymm with the lyric "Don't be afraid Man is Man-made". sounds like an atheist sentiment to me.

  • The words made this song for me when it first came out because it was voicing my emotions of betrayed youth and cynical hope for the future. I "wish" we all got the Christmas we deserve BUT Bush will not be dead and the wrongfully killed by his wars will not comfort their loved ones. So UNFORTUNETLY NO we do not always get the Christmas we deserve... BUT this song allows me at least lip service to the notion. Shalom Sabot... I hope your children are not killed by Bush in the brave new year.

  • I don't think Bush should be dead...I personally intensly dislike him and the wars and think that he should be thrown out of office, but not dead. Mind you, those killed in the wars...none of them deserve it, not matter what war. Killing in a cause is still killing.

  • The above comment was by me...wrong account. Oops.

  • No offence Enwiriel - I believe in "eye for an eye" - so Bush should die thousands of deaths. And all the other American presidents during Hiroshima, Vietnam, Korea, Gulf War 1 and so on. Makes me quiet sick thinking of all these dead people being killed for a fanatic nations course!

  • eye for an eye LOL - let's go down the list, Hiroshima (in your view the Japanese were not wrong for killing), Vietnam (communist killers should be left alone?), Korea (North Korean atrocities should be ignored?), Gulf War (let Iraq invade Kuwait?)

And in all these conflicts - the United States doesn't go in and CLAIM their country. We go in and FREE those people. Not sit idly by and let oppressors KILL and ENSLAVE. We don't do the most perfect job but action is taken and Dictators are stopped!

  • perhaps next Christmas we will get the Christmas we deserve....would you accept DC in ruins...or would you need Chicago, LA, and NYC in ashes also....and, perhaps, we can all be under Soviet, er, Russian domination...now there is a nation known to be uncorrupt;...or would you choose the Chinese remedy for dissent as your gift to the USA;...wait, we could be under Sharia law; there is always Hugo Chavez....; perhaps the golden age will reappear with Mr. Obama; Read Hardy's "Channel Firing."

  • love this song. best song @ xmas.
