  • And now, we are one, in everlasting peace.

  • The first time I got to see these guys live, a friend of mine who wasn't familiar with the song at all, tapped me on the shoulder just before the 3 minute mark to ask me what time it was. I have never been so close to homicide in my life. And they never knew lol

  • 3:00

  • Awesome

  • @garciandy23 Awesome comment! I swear I said almost the same thing when I first heard this song. It's devastating!

  • Possibly one of the best songs ever, as far as I'm concerned.

  • The music for the end of the times

  • 3:35 - 3:50 is amazing directing. Briefly flashing their life in a couple seconds before choking us with ten full seconds of motionless death. All of our lives summarized in 15 seconds.

  • don't tell Father Kevin about this song

  • "Father, d'you mind if I turn on the radio?"

  • before your father hears us.

  • wow esta canción me cayó en el momento precisode mi vida :|

  • wow this is the old romeo and juliet

  • 3:00 i get goosebumps

  • @GZeusKreist The drop beat, and then that heavily synthed bass. Like some sort of crazy delirious dream.

  • thanku Radiohead and Chopin. glad im alive to hear such beauty and feel such sadness.

  • This is perhaps the saddest song I've ever heard.

  • Holy shit I was writing a story and listening to this youtube mix when this song came up (never heard it before). This song is basically a summary of my story. This is strange and beautiful.

  • terz trez bonn mess armis. merci beaker.

  • the gril who played juliet was beautiful 40 years ago when they filmed this

  • This song kicks me right in the fucking chest and cuts my heart into a million pieces... And I love it for reminding me i'm alive

  • Impossible de ne pas déprimer en écoutant cette chanson .... c'est MAGNIFIQUE !!!!

  • 3:00 .......... jizzzzzzzz

  • Wow Radiohead is absolutely great...now I know where Muse found their inspiration!

  • Antonio Carlos Jobim- Insensatez

  • musicgasm.

  • As far as this song ends Luhrmann's "Romeo + Juliet", it's creative to make a video with the original "Romeo and Juliet" movie. Nice allusion.

Concerning the song, one of my Radiohead favorite.

  • songs like this dont usually get made just because someone requested an ending song for a movie. reason why radiohead is so darn amazing.

  • Waller FM. The latest in dance and R&B. Today's greatest hits. Waller FM.

  • Brings tears to my eyes every time i hear this...

    simply beautiful

  • 3:25 ~ 3:50 is where matthew learned how to sing ! ( Just Kidding )

  • @supersamonhalo indeed

  • @supersamonhalo indeed

  • Can't wait for the concert in Mexico City on Apr/12

  • I like listening to this with headphones on while people are talking in the room because the song washes their voices into the background noise and reminds you of what really matters.

  • wow.

I actually remember where i was when i heard this for the first time in 1995.

the bassline from 2:58 is fantastic, my favourite radiohead song.

  • :((((((( made me cry

  • This is of the most beautiful pieces of music written, it is easy to understand why Thom took inspiration from chopin. Both are absolute geniuses and it makes life a little bit more worth living, knowing that talent and music like this can be found and listened to. God bless romeo and juliet

  • 3:35 he sounds like Matt Bellamy from Muse...

  • @94SammyK no Matt sounds like thom :DD

  • this song was played at the end of the film. just saying.

  • The best part of this song : 3:26- 3:50

  • The best part of this song is Colin's fuzzy bass. It's, like, soooooo great.

  • This band represents Emo's more than anything. A lot of people think Radiohead is the shit, I mean they're ok, but ni66a please, unless you're on the verge of suicide, wtf.....

  • @PlanTonto Sorry gonna have to disagree, its not all depressing, look at the album in rainbows which is surprisingly positive, they're more musically talented than most today

  • poor farther kevin

  • Why do i feel like this should be on Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

  • Top Rated Comment (For a Youtube Video)

  • Thom York is an artist.

  • This song was used as the official exit music for the 2004 Romeo & Juliet

  • Wow, wicked song... cuts me deep.

  • tom i like u

  • Shut up Marc Warren!

  • This song is a timeless classic, often forgotten -3

  • We hope, your, words, &, your wisdom, choke you!

& now, we are one, in everlasting peace, we hope, that you choke, that you choke, we hope, that you choke, that you choke, we hope.....

  • I've always thought this song would be perfect if The Dark Tower ever finds its way to production...it reminds me of Roland & Susan Delgado. Would be a fantastic fit to the end of Wizard & Glass...

  • father kevin disliked this 140 times

  • @seankinsellasean Classic! :D

  • @seankinsellasean Just sat in my room trying to cheer my self up and this came on. Bloody did cheer me up as I thought it was like that!

  • This song makes me cry and i don't know why.

  • @cipher656james Chopin was a master of sorrow.

  • Should have been on greatest hits album, but I'm sure a second one is coming some day.

  • My High School marching band played this song, and Lucky for our field show, and got highest general effect because playing a ballad piece for field show is unheard of because of how what we dub "dangerous" as, because it's hard to hold musicality and true impact, while marching. Radio Head is awesome!

  • this is beautiful!! i'm gonna watch the film!

  • excellent editing

  • Romeo's hot.

  • nice movie nice song nice band puurfect

  • gud song

  • @cagedbutterfly93 i agree

  • Indeed, the chorus that comes in at 1:39 is sampled from Chopin's prelude, op.28, no.4. It's not like masch compared the two or said these songs go well together. I actually remember when I realized that Chopin's prelude was use in this, it blew my fuckin mind!

  • @IcyMcHotPants fyi not actually sampled. It was played on Mellotron.

  • @michal23pl Yeah, That's a Mellotron key board. The Mellotron is designed to sample then play sounds, and I'm under the assumption that they sampled Chopin's prelude using the Mellotron. Though they could be just using a random chorus of "Ah's" (I've never had to spell that).

  • @IcyMcHotPants... Not sampled, but similar.

  • @IcyMcHotPants mind blown

  • @IcyMcHotPants I cannot hear it, & I love Chopin. I just fell inlove with this song, maybe subconsciously I heard it. I have been listening to Chopin for many years, & maybe this is the reason I started to fall inlove. But to be honest, even though you pointed it out, I still cannot hear it.

  • Great Comparison Radiohead - Chopin :o)

  • Goddamn. Thom Yorke can sing perfectly well, but chooses to sing in an impaired fashion. What a strange, but talented man.

  • It is a very strange song, but I love it

  • good video dude!

  • I'm still in love with this song! Honestly, I could dedicate the last part of this song to someone I know...

  • faded on this lazy day

  • LOL comedy

  • I believe the video is from a Romeo and Juliet movie made in I believe the sixties? Maybe the seventies. Not fitting for the song, seeing as how Romeo and Juliet is a comedy...

  • @vlogtronica "Romeo and Juliet is a comedy..."

    "comedy..."

    srsly?

  • @zacskoman Yes, seriously! It is one of Shakespeare's comedies, google it.

  • @zacskoman Yes, seriously! It is one of Shakespeare's comedies, google it.

  • @zacskoman Romeo and Juliet it's CLEARLY not a comedy. Google it.

  • @bernalrd It is defined as a tragicomedy, therefore depending on the perspective and if you get the many phallic and sexual jokes throughout the play, you could see it as a comedy moreso than a tragedy.

  • @vlogtronica Your answer is extremely farfetched. You're confusing a joke in a scene with a whole genre. e.g. "Hamlet," has many sexual jokes, actually all Shakespearean plays have phallic references and sexual jokes, yet we do not call "Hamlet" a comedy. I recommend you to read "The Cambridge Companion to Shakespearean Tragedy" so you can fully grasp what SHAKESPEAREAN TRAGEDY is and why it's so. Romeo and Juliet it's defined as a Tragedy.

  • @bernalrd I myself think it's fucking hilarious, and therefore I can call it a comedy all I want.

  • @vlogtronica Indeed, you can call it whatever you like; as you said: To YOU it's "hilarious," thus automatically a comedy. In the same way, you could call an apple ORANGE on the basis of being a fruit. You can even paint it orange. Yet, it will still remain an apple. Differences are the ones that DEFINE things, concepts, etc., not similarities. Just like you and I are not called chimps even though 96% of our DNA is shared with them.

  • @vlogtronica HOW THE FUCK IS ROMEO AND JULIET A COMEDY?????

  • @vlogtronica The video is from the Franco Zeferelli version. The song is directly about the plot of Romeo & Juliet.

  • And it's not a comedy. It's a tragedy.

  • @Scoob505 Yo man if she did that to you she's not worth bein sad over. Still I understand it's rough being alone all of a sudden and you must be like me and hate being alone if you stayed with a girl after she did that to you. But don't worry man just be the you you love being and you'll find another girl when the time is right. All things happen for a reason. Just hang in there till you see it.

  • @Scoob505 - It gets better... *hug* Its tough, I know

  • @MegaTrobb <3

  • Questa canzone c'è anche nei titoli di coda del fil romeo+giulietta di william shakespeare. è bellissima e triste proprio come il film.

  • can't even watch it... love is too brutal

  • If I were decide to take my life, I would do it to this song..

  • Anyone else think it would be cool if some crazy movie-maker out there made a sequel to Romeo & Juliet, where the couple raise from the dead as zombies and eat everyone in the two houses???

  • @MeldMagic you be a freakin genius!

  • @MeldMagic I'll make a call to Quentin Tarantino.

  • @MeldMagic Love your idea! :P

  • @MeldMagic do it. do it now.

  • @MeldMagic Hell yes!

  • @MeldMagic No.

  • @MeldMagic Nice. I'm actually surprised this movie hasn't been made yet!

  • @DonutMaster3642 This is a 1968 movie

  • @MeldMagic No, that would be pretty stupid.

  • @MeldMagic I was with you until the eating everyone part.

  • Una de las canciones más hermosas que he escuchado.

  • great song, but hardly the best song by radiohead.

  • This is my favourite song of all time.

  • God, I just LOVE this song!

  • father ted brought me here

  • Never seen the film. Is it any good? I'm just here as a Radiohead fan.

  • @annedrodgyness you just watched it

  • @annedrodgyness Zefirelli is a great director, I really recommend his version of "Romeo and Juliet", "Brother Sun, Sister Moon" and also "Storia Di Una Capinera".

  • of course

  • this is the best fan made video on you tube by far.

  • i remember seeing this version at school, i got well sad seeing juliet upset lol, really well made film, particularly bad leaking a tear in an all boys school, and really my kinda thing xD

but radiohead are epic, seems like the song was inspired by romeo and juliet? not sure about that :)

  • This is so sad.

  • fuck vampire week end

  • Now, we are one.

    In everlasting peace.

  • They should just have an entire opera about Radiohead and use their songs, the types of operas kinda like in Amadeus.

  • I can't say how many times I've watched this! It is so moving.

  • I have something to say:

*Romeo and Juliet was the best thing I've ever read.

*Romeo, Mercutio, Juliet, Paris, and Friar Laurence are awesome.

*The guy that plays Romeo in this movie and Leonardo Dicaprio from the newer one are cute.

    *This song kicks ass!
