  • Nice!

I have Saanens and Pot Belly Pigs......

Wished I had the money for some Tamworths.

Remember them when I was a kid(when pigs were common in Ohio).

Now, it is real hard finding a regular pig of any kind here.

I'm traveling 81 miles one way to look at a Hamp/York cross boar.

Perhaps in a few years of selling feeder pigs, I might be able to afford one of these fine pigs that I remember fondly from childhood.

  • @ziggy2sound4u Tamworths can be hard to find up here in Canada too. We've been luck to find the two we have but they are not purebred.

Best of luck in your future Tamworth pigs...

    Thanks for the kind reply!

I am hoping to produce a mid-sized pig by mating my Pot Belly boar to my York/Hamp cross guilt this winter for a spring litter.

The Hamp/York. cross boar I'm going 81 miles for, will then get the chance to mate with the Pot Belly/York/Hamp cross guilts this winter.....

I have no idea of how this experiment will come out, so wish me well!

  • @ziggy2sound4u that should be an interesting combination. Be sure to post some vids on how it turns out =} Actually I think I saw some pics of a pig that was an oops with that kind of breeding (pot belly/hamp cross or maybe black?)... Best wishes!
