Really enjoyed your lesson and particularly the way your explaining the individual notes , i am a relative beginner and today I decided to rewind from learning song after song and did some lessons on scales .  An hour or so later i slipped and came a looking for a lesson for this great tune ! But what i learnt in scales is making sense with what your saying (and normally it never would)

4th string, frets 6, 4, 2, 4, 6, 9. Watch the dots on the fretboard, easiest way to tell. Thanks for asking.

We're playing that part during the A chord, so we're playing only the open A string (5th string) , and the fretted notes on the 4th string. Pick just those two strings. Thanks for the question.

never mind i finally got my mistak was that ur first finger hade to cover the d string..so it wouldnt sound...but thanks, i guess giving up itsnt the thing u should do...thanx nice cover and lesson... :)
