I have loved this song for years. Burt Bacharach fans love his voice with all of its uniqueness. I am thrilled to hear him sing any of his songs . . . it pulls out so many emotions!
This is an eye-roller...What a great song, and Burt Bacharach is a world treasure for the music he wrote, but I sincerely feel this performance kinda stinks. Compare it to Dionne Warwick's sublime performance of the song for A&M...Out of deference to Mr. Bacharach, I'm not gonna click the thumbs down button...Just listen to Dionne's version--it's 4.7 bazillion times better
The audio equipment sold to A & M Studios, Los Angeles, that professionally cut this record, was built by HAECO, Van Nuys, CA. The owner of HAECO and an employee both lived in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.. I am that "employee". I was totally shocked when I heard that selection from the Album when we were at A & M Studios. What a coincidence!!! And I am proud of it...

i am a big BB fan but i dont know about this song - sounds like he phoned it in. Lots of flourishes but no real hook. Maybe if Dionne sang it .......
