  • omg! only 150K, fuck yeah, everybody can afford one!

  • @persevere67 Luckily some people live in countries with good healthcare systems so stuff like this will eventually be state sponsored where I live and countries like mine.

  • @persevere67 its a prototype when it gets serial production it gets much cheaper a pc 50 years ago coasts millions and now u get it for 300 bucks

this is the future rly cool this will get many ppl back to life but maybe will take some years to go public

  • Hammer! Gruß aus Deutschland

  • too bad ill never be able to afford one :(

  • ROBOT FUNK!

  • all of a sudden deus ex enhancements/bionics/artificial limbs don't seem so much like science fiction anymore

  • ROBOCOP

  • Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers, much? o_O

  • 1:14 that's a tad uncomfortable, don't you think lmao

  • My brother hasn't been able to walk ever. This really brings hope that one day.. he'll be able to walk just like everyone else..

  • Science: it works, bitches.

  • Prototype of ROBOCOP ?

  • Stunning.

Now THIS is what robotics is about.

  • I think $150,000 is far too steep, but give it another 10 years and it will probably be crutchless, last all day, and cost as much as a motorized wheelchair.

  • Present version costs $150,000 and has an 8 hour battery life.

    thats a steal!

  • that is an awesome haircut.... XD

  • That's beautiful.

  • now he can walk off that beer gut

  • @bjaszczyszyn

    your a piece of shit.

  • @Limbo314 Come on, that was hilarious :D

  • @GGov86 How is it hilarious when a person can't walk.. and they gain weight because of it?

  • @Lokim23 First of all, wheelchair-bound people don't automatically gain weight like they can't help it. They can eat right just like any other person. Second, it's funny because it was a perfectly executed dark joke. Sure, it's gonna offend some people, but some people just like getting offended no matter what.

  • I'm impressed! This device will give a lot of people their lives and self-confidence back! :) That's really cool!

  • Roboco is coming.

  • It's just a relief to remember that there's someone using his intelligence with wisdom. I mean, there must be for sure someone thinking to build a weapon with this technology. intelligence used without beeing consecuent is also stupity.

so MI ABSOLUTE ADMIRATION to this people making the human race improve.

what would be of humanity if the science where devoted to these matters instead of destruction?

  • That must have felt amazing to be able to stand after sitting for 20 years!

  • Excellent!

    Remarkable!!

  • 11 people dont like excellence and advanced technology for comforting man

  • Is this what HAL became?

  • amazing! who would dislike this video? the inventor of the wheelchair?

  • Wow, one of, if not, the best things I've seen on Youtube.

  • woow nice invention keep making them n helping ppl out =)

  • See people won't be fat after all..

  • what if he needs to go to the bathroom?

  • @TheRickychengshow Uh, the same way he would in a wheel chair? It's not like he would know when he had to go, so he probably wears something like a diaper for adults.....

  • @GrinningTurtle42 How do you know he doesn't know when to go? Just because you can't use your legs properly, doesn't mean your bladder and dick have automatically fucked up too. Completely different bodily system

  • he should get a discount for advertising the company

  • @zombietooth Fuck paying for it. Everyone should be able to have this and the same quality product regardless of his/her income. Many invalids are not very wealthy, not many can support themselves let alone a machine that may cost $20,000 or more. Governments should take initiative to supply these things to the disabled ASAP.

  • @MrNosfaratu Well, how the hell will the governments afford it if they have no money to pay for it???

  • @GrinningTurtle42 Oh they do, they do. It is really just a matter of priority for the government. Spend millions of dollars to billions on things that MOST people can do without. If a government truly had the people in mind they would take much better care of us. For all the expensive tax's we pay, to all the companies that gain our hard earned money and keep it for themselves. Take from the rich give to the poor. You get the picture.

  • now we need neural implants

  • Today, robo-pants, tommorow, skynet

  • Comment removed

  • @222thehobojoe actually dude the launching of Skynet was April 19, 2011 according to the show. This guy will be a Terminator come May.

  • Robocop retired?

  • Someone build me an Ironman suit.

    Please -___-

  • Wow thats amazing!

  • half the comments on this video are paid youtube shills. ideas like this are cool but not viable. in mass the cost would be unimaginable. the cost is akin to giving every quad or para a brand new ferrari. this device is bound to be a one of a kind. like all this robotic crap being plugged today. its useless overpriced junk. who fixes it onsite when it breaks down from the disabled persons home. loss of power. NWO borg garbage :D this ones for the trolls.

  • soon there will be super humans once the technology gets better as well.... just watch...

  • How long until we become cyborgs?

  • I wish they could go much further with this, but they won't be able to for a long time. If you look at the general design. It's basically just forcing his legs to do what it wants. Without those machines and engines there it won't work. So unless we change our gears & radar systems. I strongly believe this will not progress much further. However this is amazing, and they should keep trying no matter what.

  • just build a nano suit from crysis already

  • iron man!!!

  • 150000.......

  • its better than being in a chair

  • I've had an idea in my head to do something like this for about 3 years now. Good to see someone beat me to it!

  • Its like that robotic arm they graft connections dirrectly to the users brain to control it. Put that with this and you may have quads able to walk and function fully again. Its amazing.

  • imagine a device.....that can heal heal injuries.......that are unhealable..........*bell* ok wake up now cuz theres no such thing :(

  • I bet this was manufactured in Aperture science

  • @SH4D0SKU11 They'd make something MUCH better than this.

  • @SH4D0SKU11 by Aperture Science*.

  • The only problem is that IT'S 150,000 DOLLARS!

  • unlike missile defence systems and advance weaponry, this brings happiness not suffering.

so happy to see inventions like these.

  • Seems very similar to the Berkeley Bionics' eLegs...

  • this is really great

  • OMG! Find John Connor, we don't have much time!

  • The future really is now.

  • This video makes you think of the little things in life...

  • @sirhcsuiris Some have wheelchairs to get around. ;p

  • @Tetzukai Cool story, bro.

  • Fantastic!

  • @adampope64 Exactly. Wow innovations have come a LOOONNNG way.. glad to see things like this happening... never know when any one of us may need such a device. Brilliant!!

  • if technology advances even more, he wont even need those arm crutches. and the robotics will be smaller. kudos to who ever made this. you are making many dreams more possible.

  • @R13L1001

    Correction. WHEN technology advances

  • @thewesterliesband I stand corrected! ;p

  • @R13L1001

    Correction. WHEN technology advances

  • other models cure ed

  • I would like to have a Nanosuit instead, the one from Crysis. Although this is a great way into helping those that are unable to walk feel what it is like. Hopefully more are made and aren't overpriced so those that need to walk and do things can afford it.

  • Another victory for the Transhumanists!

  • this is a great thing just, what if the battery dies?

  • @randyorton52 Reeeeecharge! :D

  • next step...ROBOCOP!

  • this is incredible

  • master chief is coming

  • SOO amazing... someone out there is going to see this and cry with joy of the chance to stand up and walk again! :)

  • SOO AMAZING!!!

  • looks like the jap dev one... really great take senses electrical pulses from the brain to the muscle to help the body move

  • lol goliath in trianing

  • This why technology is amazing. Cellphones, and laptops are cool, but to see a wheelchair ridden man walk is simply amazing.

  • what if you run out of batteries in the middle of the street?

  • @FourEightZero you end up like the kindergardener teacher in Southpark...

  • @FourEightZero That's why you charge it less than 8 hours before crossing the street... Who is going to walk 8 hours straight and then be stupid enough to cross streets endlessly? What happens if your breaks stop working as you try to stop for a yellow. What kind of question is that? ...

  • In a few more years people will be able to run and jump. Possibly even adjust how high they want to jump. Technology is amazing

  • Looks like a dozen people were sparta-kicked with robo-legs.

  • Imagine if he put it on backwards?

  • @TrevorSolesHD Moon Walk! Haha that would be awesome.

  • technology it gets better and better we will soon be able to help so many people.

  • "I feel normal"

ahahahah if that's what he feels then more power to him!

But I'm pretty sure that more people would stare at that wacky suit than at a simple wheelchair XD

  • joe swanson should get one of these

  • @scilencedx111 Well, last time he gained the ability to walk he became an ass, so no, I don't think he should

  • @scilencedx111 f that, Steven hawking needs this shit

  • @Jmyster4 Hawking's is too frail to use this.

  • @scilencedx111 It would be funny if he got one for one episode or something then it breaks and he's back in a wheelchair.

I think that could be a good episode. He gets it and enters a marathon or something and wins and gets all famous, but then it breaks or gets stolen or something, I dunno, and hes a regular guy again, but Peters the one who stole it and got it broken because he was trying to build a Terminator with it or something #LOL

  • He can walk for 8 hours straight, not bad

  • /user/TheSkypePrankCalls

  • hot blond 0:37

  • @counterclockwise123 Seriously? That's what you take the time to comment on? Not the fact that a parapelegic is walking now? Wow.....

  • Its the Terminator!!! RUN

  • I <3 technology.

  • "Father, you're tall". Lol thats cute

  • Oh no Spock was in a wheel chair??

  • Now there is something that is BENIFITIAL to the world, not coming out with a new iphone....wtf does that compare to actually helping someone who's disabled? exactly, if i was wealthy rich, i would def buy this for someone in need :) str8 up, and of corse, knowing states, they would make that device the price of a goddamn fucking Mustang! :P like shit.

  • what happens when you run out of battery...

  • @jajajaja404 Umm re-charge everyday?before you sleep?

  • Why the hell is it that when technology offers a solution that improves people's lives, fucking religious types come on here with their stupid religious talk? It's not a miracle, it's an invention, and it has NOTHING to do with god, spirituality, or fairies.

  • Who would dislike this?

  • @WalterLiddy unlucky people who don't have legs at all.

  • @WalterLiddy Assholes who do it for fun or hate ppl who are on wheelchairs. OR! faggots :P

  • @WalterLiddy the same 11 people who thumbs uped your comment

  • @WalterLiddy .... mormons...

  • @WalterLiddy people who are not crippled, retard.

  • @WalterLiddy Who would dislike this? Wheelchair manufacturers.

  • @WalterLiddy people afraid of cyborgs?

  • @WalterLiddy wheelchair companies

  • @WalterLiddy dr. octopus

  • bored of no PSN?

    check this out :)

    /watch?v=rOIYY4W3b4Y

  • what's up whit the 10 dislikes ....

  • what if your walking and battery dies? ..how do you get back home !?!?

  • i love science

  • @georgiethegiraffe I cant wait for the day that the world is finally free from religion.

  • Good, maybe now he can work off that 20 year gut.

  • @BeautyFetish ur an idiot

  • 150k ! better break some rich spines

  • Spock is the man , that guy is just a prick

  • while this is amazing, i can't help but think he looks like Spock....am i a terrible person for thinking that?

  • And the engineer says, LET THERE BE YOUR LEGS.

    And he was walking.

  • My heart is melted.

    Technology amazes me.

Just think about everything that can be accomplished. I am honestly in awe right now.

  • GOLIATH ONLINE.

  • @delta1O5 You are permanently my favorite person.

  • @delta1O5 Comm link online.

  • @delta1O5 LMAO

  • what happens if your battery ran out and a car is about to hit you?

  • @pspkider

If the car can't stop in time, or the driver can't reaction to go around you (in times when braking won't work), it would have hit most people anyway. Even if the battery was active it wouldn't do much good.

  • what if you have to walk for more than eight hours o.0

  • Made by SkyNet?

  • Superb! With the advancement of our energy source's and computer intelligience inventions such as these can be taken to heights unimagined. People need to quite bickering about whats superior, theocracy or science. Such petty diffrences should not stunt our races growth. I look forward to seeing more advances in this sector, never know i might be wearing one of these some day.

  • its gonna be a bitch when you gotta take a shit

  • @1teknique haha

  • @1teknique well actually it already is considering he can't move his own legs...

  • @TekLok Your right on that man

  • I like this, it shows technology is goin in the right direction . but the price should be lowered 150k is too much, it almost cancels itself out "an arm for a leg". I feel alot of ppl in wheelchairs are going to be disappointed by the pricing, 150k isnt alot to ask for to walk again, but i dont think alot of ppl will be able to afford this without giving up alot.

  • @litdan

A lot of people are disappointed that Big Macs don't cost 25c each, but that doesn't mean the price should be 25c. If the price were a lot lower than is economical for the company and the researchers, the thing would never be made in the first place.

If you feel that disabled people should be entitled to this kind of treatment, would you be prepared to pay higher taxes in order to help them? That would be the most rational way to deal with the situation.

  • @litdan

    Say hello to higher taxes!

  • @litdan you're right it is a lot of money but to be able to walk again a lot of people would go through annything to pay for it , and also you gotta think they just built these now , there is still more to work on and perfecting them , as they get easier and better to build , the cost will go down.

  • @tcsdef technology is going to bite us in the ass 1 day tho, just watch

  • its not a miracle... its jus a lot of time and money almost anything is possible with that

  • Prayer means zip without science to do something.

  • @mysterycheez I'm with you all the way man. God FTW. Without God's grace none of this could happen :)

  • @ShadowX4828 I love when "grace" crashes planes into buildings. Tnk god!!!! FTW

  • @TamaNewb Everything happens for a reason

  • @ShadowX4828 not if ur buddist anything can happen but it doesnt have a reason :D

  • @ShadowX4828 Only if we can give it a reason. Reason is a man made concept.

  • will it blend that is the question

  • @hitopo906 ur not funny that is the truth

  • 0m47s thought it said controlled by tit sensor. Damn closed captions font

  • anyone else thinking iron man?

  • Comment removed

  • I dont want to play Hero tales youtube -.-
