This video, in my opinion, is VERY well done. And I have this song on my phone (along with 500+ others :-) This movie is based on a book written by Peter S. Beagle and came out in 1982. I was one. And it's in my dvd player right now :-)

Not by Disney at all. The song is called "The Last Unicorn" and America did the entire soundtrack which is why it's so beautiful. I have a small scene from this movie tattooed on my back. It was magical to my sissy and me growing up. Now I have it on dvd.

Yeah... Rankin & Bass also made the animated film--THE HOBBIT--based on the Tolkein trilogy that came out around the same time as THE LAST UNICORN. The animation look/style is very similar--Anime! Love the song. Love America. Love the movie. Thanks for making/posting.

Ooooh yeah. lol It wasn't Disney. :) Most of the animation was subcontracted through a Japanese company called Topcraft (which later became a much better-known anime company whose name I can't remember at the moment). Rankin/Bass produced the film for ITC Entertainment.
