I always wondered that, since Koopa had a new group of henchman on this show which were his children, I wonder what happened or what he did with his old henchman, like Mouser, Triclyde, Fryguy, etc. The other thing I wonder is that, if Koopa has children on this show, I wonder why it never showed that he had a wife in order just to conceive seven children. Unless, those seven children are his adopted children and not his real children or children who he kidnapped and they're forced to obey him

Take off your nostalgia goggles, a lot of cartoons were just as bad back then as any one you'd find today.

The Mario cartoons are no exception, as are nearly all of those produced by DiC studios. However I will grant that this was the best of the bunch; since the locations aren't 1-dimensional and are taken from the games unlike the first series, the episode plotlines aren't horribly stupid, the voice acting is tolerable, and it had the most grounded central plot unlike the other two.

No....Nintendo NES' Super Mario Bros, Mario Bros 2 were 80's...i believe that 3 was in year 1990...there was a 1989 Fred Savage movie (the boy from the Wonder Years show) called The Wiz in which he played a video game contest and the big surprise there was Mario Bros 3 which HAD NOT yet been released as a game in America yet...the cartoon was either also 1990 or 19991..Super Mario World (with dinosaurs/Yoshi) was in 92/93 and the cartoon series fo it....

Super Mario 3 was released in Japan in 1988. The US release took place in 1990 and in Europe it was 1991. The timing of this cartoon is more than appropriate.

Not on the NES it wasn't, but on the Famicom, it and a few other games were playable with the Nintendo 3D System; which is a headset that plugs into the Famicom and is worn on the players head. Inside the game screen is actually in 3D, but in true colors.
