Shaun Murphy is a great singer but she wasn't eye candy. Hurt their appeal to the masses. The rest of us know what a real talent she is. Unfortunately, that's show biz, as they say.
@lvmhe44 Janis Joplin wasn't eye candy either, but she knocked me out with intensity. Shaun is no Joplin, but I always enjoy her singing Little Feat music.
Wow! Thanks for posting this one. Really good version. Would I get beaten up if I asked if anyone out there had a copy of the SNL version of this tune? Did anyone even catch that show? : )
Shaun Murphy is truly among the most dynamic singers on this planet.
I am among her many fans from her Detroit Days.
I learned more about breath control, phrasing, enunciating, pushing forward and holding back (and yes, even percussion) from watching and from listening to Shaun than I ever learned from my vocal coach.
Have loved this song since ESPN used it for NCAA March Madness in '91(?)..it was their main theme song to open and close their coverage and wrap-up shows. AWESOME!
Love Shaun! She has an amazing voice!

This song just makes me glad I'm alive. Shaun is great. Kenny is great. Richie is breathing fire back there. Oh, and Paul's good too!
