the problem is...the term "problem" is a transitory, relative definition done so at the behest of the employer. The can call anyone "problem" is they want to get rid of them. Have you ever represented an ex-employee as a plaintiff in wrongful termination? Most firings are wrongful termination whether they fulfill the federal government's description or not.
I have an employee only worked for me for one week, turns out not working out, she was not act the same when I interviewed her, she said she will sue me. Should I have the settlement dispute contract sign before I terminate any problem employees include the ones just worked for a short period of time?
Dear HM, anyone can claim Unemployment. The question is will they be able to get it after exchanging their rights for the extra compensation. Answer: It depends on the person doing the investigation. I know this sounds illusory. However, I have seen it go both ways. My general rule of thumb is: If you are worried about that issue, put it in your settlement dispute contract. I hope this helps.
Dear HM, good question. The termination agreement should be signed at the time of termination. Even employees that work for a short period of time should be considered. I hope that helps!

very helpful info, by providing extra pay to exchange their right to sue, are they still eligible to claim unemployment?
