@SrBeardsly It'd take years, or being setup with ingame contacts to get the skills/social connections necessary to establish yourself.

Starting in Eve is the same as someone giving you 100 bucks, dropping you off with nothing but shorts and sandals in the middle of Time Square and saying "Good luck!" then driving off.
