How to fix G1

i did the hard reset and when i tries to add my gmail account this msg shows "this could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. Please try again when you are connected. If it continues, call customer care."what should i doo ?

ok so i Have the HTC G1 and i have an att sim card in it.... and i have a lil sim card icon were my notifications appear...and it has a lil exclamation mark and it says "Removed SD Card" "SD card removed.Insert a new one" and it wont let me shop or use the camera without that poping up?!?! what do i do!?!?!

jst put creat account later turn on ur wifi or internet and create an account in the the app that says Gmail

i tried to soft reset, by holding the home key and the red key, got the warning screen(triangle with a yellow ! and a phone. then i held the home and the back key like the video said, yea not your video. but now when i try to get back to the warning screen...the indicator light where your ear goes just blinks red....what can i do? the phone turns on but after the android screen its just backlit but blank!

I fix it before thanks to your video and now it happened again I get the black screen after the android logo and when I follow the first step I don't get the triangle it goes to a menu called Android system recovery 2 It only has the following codes Home Back Alt s Alt a alt w alt b alt r alt f alt x I've tried to click on the alt w to see if it works but nothing what else can I do?

Thanx bro b/c i had forgot my pattern and tried to enter my gmail username and password and it wont let me log in but when i entered the same information on the computer it let me log in. But thanx b/c your method worked ;)

@HOolEykiNG7 its because you dont have a "data plan" i would recommend you asking a friend of yours who has T-mobile plus data plan to let you borrow his sim card and try to put your email and password and it will hopefully work, p.s that's what i did and it worked for me...if this helped you let me know ok.
