I can get an AA on this but I'm a spoiled brat with Cobalt Flux pads... when i use the soft ones they always end up turned 180 degrees and on the other side of the room by the time the song is over xD

This is the Konami soft pad that came with DDR Supernova :) You can buy it for about $20 at Game Stop or your local video game outlet.

Not feeling the socks, eh? You know, it's interesting. My feet don't move too fast, but my balance is quite good, so the soft pad doesn't move too much under me. It's all about shifting your weight. Like, it WANTS to move, you just have to position your body so that it CAN'T move :)

it depends where ur using soft pads i guess. they are pretty easy most places. i have a pad that comes with foam to put in the pad. (i dont use it) the foam i mean. i use the mat. i can do maxx300 super max me on it.

Hey there! It's a LONG road. You have to either play for an ABSURD amount of time, OR go through course D. You'll find Sakura shortly after the SuperSonic course, which was insanely hard for me.

Hey there! Well, in SOME videos it does, but generally speaking, I try to counterbalance each foot. If you can see, it DOES move left when my left hits and right when my right hits, but I figured out the balance ratio to keep it --basically-- still :)

Dear gannett, The pad does move a lot -- but truth be told, I CAN AA it on a hard pad. Part of the fun challenge for me, however, is doing it on a soft pad --- because then things like pad errors can occur. Makes you really work for it :)

Dear gannett, The other thing to bear in mind is that with DDR Extreme 2, you need the Full Combo to get a AA...and it's hard to know when that will happen (what with pad errors) to video tape it. HOWEVER, you may know that Sakura is being reprinted in Supernova 2 --- as a 9 footer, but same steps --- which has a AA rule far more conducive to my style of playing (95% or higher). Therefore, you should see a AA for Sakura by the end of the year on a soft pad :)
