  • WOW! James had got some awesome vocals.Nice and melancholy song and thanks for the posting

  • Most underappreciated singer songwriter ever.

  • Unreleased! That's such a shame. Big fan of Bread in the 70s. Love Jimmy's voice and this song. Thank you for posting this.

  • @geekygirl111

You're welcome. I've added an update to the info box, because this song has now been released, but it's a different version. Thanks for your comment!

  • RIP. You were heaven sent and heaven bound.

  • Rest in peace Jimmy. I well up with tears when I hear your music - it's a gift to us all. See you in Heaven some day.

  • I LOVE him. Have loved him since about 1970 or so. Miss him and his beautiful music SO MUCH and I get so heartwarmed to hear something I've never heard before. Thanks so much for posting ALL the songs you have of him. :):) Kathie

  • I ♥ it soo....

  • Oh, very nice. I'm sad glad I got to see Bread on their reunion tour. We have some nice additions to heaven's choir now.

  • Yea, I always loved to hear him sing on bread albums! He was great...and even greater now in a greater presence of God.

  • James Griffin. So talented and not enough credit for his wonderful music. I was saddend to hear the loss of a true music major. I like David Gates, James Griffin was not given enough credit for his music. James was way more upbeat and also was a #1 addition to Bread. never given enough credit for David Gates' for his back up vocals regarding David 's music either. You can tell that all of you people are big James Griffin fans as I am as well. God bless you Jimmy.

  • James Griffin had the voice! I was saddend to hear of his battle with cancer. He is in a much better place with Mike Botts and Larry Knechtel. He should've won more music awards when he was in Bread. The guy had a gifted talent. Bread revolved around David Gates and not enough around Jimmy. God bless you James Griffin. Your legacy LIVES ON!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm totally agree with you. Jimmy put the beat in many Bread songs. there were many touching songs like this one too. don't forget Jimmy composed " For All We Know" for The Carpenters in 1969.

  • I always enjoyed hearing Jimmy sing more than David.....think he got the shaft from whoever picked teh songs after Gates had a hit they wanted him to sing all the singles...

    pretty song....

  • He was once in a band with Randy Meisner from the Eagles i would have loved to hear the two of them harmonize together. that will never happen now that Jimmy is gone and Randy is now in poor health also. This song shows the true talent of Jimmy. Such a shame that he,Mike Botts and Larry Knetchel are all gone now.

  • what a voice

  • Gosh this is a beautiful song. One of those songs that take you back to a time

  • Ok first, he was 53- 54 and he sounded this good. I really cant tell a difference from the 70's. Secondly why wasnt this ever put on cd?

  • I was the support act for Bread on their New Zealand / Australia leg of the 1996 reunion tour. This song was a highlight of their set. I got to know Jim pretty well over the course of that month on the road. What a true gentleman - kind, funny, intelligent and boy, could he sing!! I think about him often and miss his emails...I'm so grateful to have been given the chance to meet him and share the stage with him. See ya later big guy!

  • i saw james sing this live on the reunion tour at the liverpool empire, he got a standing ovation- what a truly beautiful song....i thought i'd never hear it again, thank you so much for posting it. r.i.p jimmy

  • lucky you, tim

  • thank you so much for this beautifull song by our late brother jim !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a beautiful song! 'Thank you for posting the rare clips of Jimmy. He is one of my all time favorite singers that truly touches my heart.

  • I have been a Bread fan ever since I firest heard them in the early 70's. Had all the 8-track cassettes.LOL I was one of the few who would publicly acknowledge that I liked them, although everyone listened to them. It's a shame that the rift between James and David split up one of the premier groups of my teen years. Glad to see they put aside their differences to tour one last time. Thanks James & David.

  • @mike1956will where can i get it don't matter to me by james griffin

  • @gregdebbie You should check out the new Jimmy Griffin CD

  • @flamingosrock15 Probably hard to find, no?

  • @leeleebaby2100

No, it's actually not hard to find. It's available from Nashfilms Records. There's a link to their channel on my page.

  • Thank you - what a beautiful song! Thank you Jimmy for all your music. RIP - Ron

  • Wow- what a beautiful song ! Thank you for uploading this gem from James Griffin. Thanks Jimmy for all the wonderful music you have given us. You are missed. The choir in Heaven has another great singer in the Heavenly Choir. Ron

  • You're welcome. Many thanks for your comments.

  • Its sad that Jimmy Griffin died so soon in his life. He lived to be 61 but he still had a living to do. But he is now singing in Heaven.

  • Thank you so much for posting this sweet and tender song from a truly gentle and beautiful soul, who is so deeply missed by so many of us around the world. Thank you and God bless you Jimmy for giving us these lasting gifts. May you rest in peace. JD in Ireland

  • Saudades... lindas canções de Griffin, como seria bom se fossem lançadas mais raridades.God bless Griffin's family

  • It's true about James Griffin's talent not being recognized as it shoud have been. As the years progressed many record companies had more business oriented mentality and went for what was trendy and focused less on those artists that had the God given talent. Few singers could have sung this song as well as Jimmy.

  • Wow, what a great song. Why was this never released? I know he concentrated more on songwriting than performing in the 1990s, but I wish he recorded more. His voice sounded ever better live. Thanks you for posting this for his fans.

  • ohhh god...what a voice....!!

  • Can't get enough! Great again.

  • Thanks Lite, this is one of my most favorite songs from James. Like the photos too!

  • Thanks for another great Jimmy Griffin tune! Ruth
