I can't say if it's identical, but i have an extremely similar motor on my 14 ft aluminum. Mine has a brownish colored lower unit though. My grandpa bought mine back in 1970 something. It's never needed a repair and its been used about 60+days every year since the early 90's. How fast does yours go? My boat has nothing but three bench seats in it and it goes in the upper 30mph range. I think it should go faster on such a light boat though.

@heartlesspinto my boat gets close to 40 mph, very stable too, and reliable! fresh water flushed after every use.
