@zuzulo56 If I tried to pry off any part of this Oldsmobile, I'd be arrested and thrown in jail. This is NOT my Olds so I'd be in a lot of trouble. If you can't fnd a hood emblem for sale in Hemmings Motor News, try that salvage yard in Arizona. I think its called Desert Auto Salvage. Good luck with this and thanks very much for enjoying this Super 88.
@zuzulo56 Yeah, I love the fifties cars too since thats what I grew up on. I had the promo models, made the kits, etc. But I really like all cars from all years. It looks like you're a real Olds fan. I havta tell ya that I really like the 57 Olds. I'm really am going to miss that brand. I had a 76 Cutlass Surpreme Brouham with T-tops, silver landau vinyl roof over dark blue metallic paint with silver pinstripe. Loved that car. Thanks for ribbing me, I thought you were serious.
@55lincoln Two of my uncles were Olds Dealer Mechanics for over 30 yrs....each. Prior to going to war, I myself worked there along side them. So, everyone in the family it seems, was "into" Oldsmobiles. I began to seriously hate GM after they allowed them to falter & killed them off.
@zuzulo56 Wow! So you have relatives with a history of Oldsmobile experience. Oldsmobile Division were the engineering catalyst for GM for years. Many innovative engineering and design were created for Oldsmobile. Neglect is the word for GM to allow a long held and respected division to cast adrift. Same with wonderful Pontacs. Shame on GM for ridding these 2 marks when they really should have shed some of those other divisions long before Oldsmobile and Pontiac were sacrificed. Thanks!
@zuzulo56 Yes, the word " shame " is too lackluster but as a producer of these videos I have to watch my language in every comment, response, or dialogue. What GM did was horrendous. Maybe that word is too tame also, but you catch my drift I hope. Thanks for sharing your outrage.
The triple deuces may not be original but they sure look good and I give my approval. The first Olds that came with triple deuces was the 57 with J-2 option, but it came with a humongous air cleaner and didn't look as sweet as the 3 individual air cleaners. This 51 rag-top is in awesome shape and I can see why it has a tag of $65K. Very, very nice.
@cheddyrod Yeah, it looks sharp with the 3 individual air cleaners. Car looks sharp all the way around. Must have cost a lot to restore since the asking price is 65k. It should sell itself since it's so good lookin. Yeah, I didn't think the 51 had trip deuces. Thanks very much for viewing and commenting again cheddy.
Don't suppose you'd want to pry off the hood emblem, with a rusty screwdriver, and sell it? Very nice sled though!

@55lincoln "SHAME" is too much of a lackluster word for what the schmucks at GM did!
