As Christians, we take what people say about us even if they do not like us or agree with us. We have to be careful when we talk about Jesus not to ram it down people's throats or offend just as we have to be careful in telling a Muslim that Mohammed was wrong! @petersandyr The Bible also forbids eating pork and going to church on the seventh day (Saturday) not Sunday. Otherwise surely they will feel that they will suffer professionally if they freely state their views on family life and the true meaning of human sexuality which differ from the pro-homosexual agenda?
Why does anyone need to be "out" at their place of employment in the first place? What does your place of employment have to do with your personal sexual preference? Why do you think that everyone where you work needs to know about your personal life?
I could make the same idiotic argument and say, "I was discriminated against because I am straight and was not allowed to join the gay / lesbian focus group at work.
What a bunch of pathetic politically correct hogwash.
"Sexual Orientation Focus Group"? Is that what gays call cruising now? Are Tescos going to set up such focus groups for straight people, or swingers, or muslims or jews maybe? What about left handers? Left handers feel left out too you now. What about people that are tone deaf, or cant dance? Pathetic idea!! Private life should be private. Typical gay "woe is me". I guess this Tesco diversity team thing is only in Tesco UK.... coz i work in Tesco Ireland and I've never heard of anything remotely pro gay happening in the stores here =( In fact, the manager of my store is a big homophobe....
Why tell anyone at work about your PRIVATE life......fuck them as it's none of their business.
More and more people don't respect their own privacy and then they realise when they get trampled on just how much they information about themselves they have given out.

I really dont like gay people there not diffrent but i just dont like it, i dont no how any man could have sex with another man not nice to think about, its on TV everwhere now people are starting to make it look like its normanl when its very wrong
No matter what your job is, you should just go in and do it. This whole lgbt representation group thing seems to jump on a soapbox at the slightest thing. I have learnt from working at various locations that familiarity breeds contempt. I aim to be pleasant with people I work around but dont necessarily want a social life with them.
I have worked for tesco many years and have not seen anything about a gltb group with in the company is it just at head office or are stores taking part???
The important difference here is that it's not discrimination but mentoring that's important.
Gay people need to know that they are welcome to get on at Tesco and sometimes need to be given the confidence to pursue their career when they see on;y 'straight white men' at the helm.
However once they have applied for the job, everyone seeking that post is treated equally. This network exists to help people apply for, not get, the job. The best candidate for the job will get the job.
nobody told you that you couldnt work for Tescos at aged 18. There must be more to it than that. Allthough I did work there myself for a year and had a really bad experience with them.
i was told i was to young to work at tesco at the age of 18 which is just dumb they dont employee a range of people just immigrants so they get the wages cheaper tescos is a horrible place to work in
After reading some of your other posts I am dismayed at the fact that you think it acceptable to artificially inject minority groups into management positions because of their status. You also say that Tesco needs the best people for the job. But by use of positive discrimination you run the very real risk of having people there that are not the best. Let people rise through their own merits rather than handing it to them on a silver platter. Don't overcompensate it still discriminates.
Oh for goodness sake why cant you just be gay and work at Tescos? Why does there need to be a focus group to tell you that you are different and need special attention only to sumerise that you are part of a group called everyone? Just go to work, do your work, get on with your colleagues and be gay. Stop bringing attention to your sexuality and just be it and get on with it. I'm sick of hearing about peoples sexuality in everyday life, just say what you are and get bloody on with it.
Anyone can belong to the group 'everyone' but unfortunately in the real world not 'everyone' is treated equally.
I have found (and Tesco is working on) that sometimes people can be bullied for being gay. 'Out at Tesco' is not a focus group but a support group to give gay people a place to go for help.
Sometimes gay people don't go for promotion because of a belief they wouldn't get the job. This group helps gay people have the confidence to get on at Tesco.
Look I don't want to sound to aggressive but I'm sure you can at least understand how minority groups specifics right and needs and requirements can irritate the broader masses when their cause is constantly touted seemingly at our expense and exclusion. Your sexuality doesn't interest me very much as it wouldn't for any workmate. I just don't see the relevance between your sexuality and your work ability. I'm straight and it doesn't factor in my job so why the fuck should your homosexuality?
what about mary jones who doesnt think she'll get a promo beacasue she has kids or malcom isaac who cant do maths - wheres the support group for them - stop your segragation!
...what about the hopes and fears of straight people? Since when did being gay become the most important thing at work? Gay or straight, all the same to me and I treat all with the same respect. Why do gay people make such an issue of being gay?
The challenge for gay people is that they can suffer from a lack of confidence, or fear discrimination (whether real or imagined) that straights do not.
All we are doing here is bringing gay people up to the level that straights are already at.
I am glad to hear that you treat gay people with the same respect that you do straight people. I wish all were like you. Until that wish is true, gay people *should* make an issue out of being gay.
My words are not from a tabloid newspaper, nor are they from a hate forum. They are the words of friends of mine who do work for Tesco.
Being openly bisexual I understand the importance of equal rights, and the importance of trying to ensure that everyone has the confidence to be themselves at work.
My point is that staff feel valued when they are paid properly, and rewarded when the company does well! This doesn't happen for many Tesco employees!
It's a shame that you don't want to be my "wife" FamilyPrideOrg.
From the messages you have put on here you seem like an open minded, well rounded individual, who is always capable of accepting poeple for who they are.
The kind of person that I feel I could commit to for the rest of my life.
I guess I'm just gonna have to make do with my red hot boyfriend instead!
Bummer!!!!! (Literally) ;-)
(If you could only see how much I'm laughing as I type!!) Hehe!!!!!
The problem for Tesco staff is not equal rights. It's lowsy pay, and the infinate greed of Tesco. I know people who work for them.
The first time Tesco posted £1 billion profits, to thank their staff, Tesco Abbeydale Road, Sheffield, assembled a buffet for them from the ailes, a lot of it from the value range.
Surely a cash bonus would have been more appropriate?????
whats their hourly rate of pay? in Pounds Sterling? whats the staff reduction like for working there can you save big time on your weekly shop as a result of buying and freezing where appropriate near end of shelf life refrigerated marked down products.
I have a lot of gay friends, where I work now are a lot of gay people everyone gets treated the same. One bloke even came onto my boyf! One of my son's godparents is gay. Everyone is equal in my opinion
I worked for tesco for two years and worked with a lot of gay/lesbian people. It never even crossed my mind that homosexuals were different to me we all got on, nobody dissed them because they were gay. The only problem I had working for tesco is the company are very greedy and punish you for being ill (even if you are in hospital!)
No it's not just you - unfortunately I come across as very patronising when I am doing pieces to camera (take a look at a couple of my other videos - 'Ofcom upholds my Christian TV complaint' - oh my god I start off like a right old mother superior!).
I am working with a transgender colleague on a certain matter right now, so please be assured that transgender people are at the heart of what I do.
Please contact me personally if there is anything I can help you with in this context.
You are correct I have not worked nights, I work for "Express" and we cover all shifts over 7 days a week, 364 days a year, I personaly have never come across what you describe, but with the help of people like Nick promoting this then what "You" have experienced will hopefully become a thing of the past, but we are all entitled to our own opinions and it is unfortunate that "you" feel that way, I can only comment on myself and those I have worked with who feel the same.
i respect your opinion and your right to be whe you want to be but nick seems to be promoting tesco , this is practicly yet another tesco advert , tesco ride roughshod over staff , customers and suppliers simply to make money wake up and smell the coffee before you wake up in tescoland , to the grassroots to get the real story
I am gay and have worked for Tesco for the last 5 years in store and H/O support and now in a Regional Role and have never in that time had a negative comment for anyone and am assisting the Diversity time and to be honest I have never been subjected to any form of harrasment.
this is just another pc ploy , and you dont know what its like to work on the shop floor on night shift , tesco are the biggest user of all the major supermarkets , both staff and suppliers
tesco is not a great place to work , i worked for them at beverley and they treat night staff like slaves , this is just another ploy to make them look PC dont be fooled by this they only want money , they dont care who you are as long as you spend .
im gay and work at tesco, why the fuck should i respect the religious staff (particularly muslims) when they have no respect for me. Respect is a two way street, if they want respect from me, respect me back. I dont care what your religious shit book says about my sex life. Have a good day
This morning I didn't know what a Tesco was, partly because I live in California, and your video is the result of YouTube link diving, starting with the Tesco vs Denmark video which is hilarious.
I have the utmost respect for people's life choices and I applaud you for what you're doing. Don't let anyone get you down about who you are, I think they're just jealous that you can be yourself.

1. The name is Radhnaill - I can read and spell because I consider myself normal and educated
2. Thank God I am a normal Irish male. My wife probably has a Clubcard so that explains why you probably have one
3. I certainly do take your point that it took 9 months and a few thousand 'views' before any constructive comment was placed. To me and my kind the lack of objection to your sad illness is another sad reflection of how this whole world I lived in is slowly being polluted and perverted
Radhnaill, it is hate (mostly but not completely brought on by religious narrowmlndness) that has always polluted and perverted the world.
At least gay people are perfectly normal and now have hope (through business and legal safeguards) without effecting the lives of others. Please don't give hate a chance.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Nick. This is my last communication to you. It has absolutely nothing to do with HATE. To me, a grandfather, there is absolutely NOTHING normal about homosexuality. I, sadly, put it up there with sodomy (unnatural sexual intercourse) and paedophelia. I do, genuinely, feel so, so sorry for you. The really sad part for me is that you and your kind use the work GAY (lighthearted) to describe your awful disease. God Bless
Don't feel sorry for me - as you can see from my wedding video on YouTube I lead a wonderful happy and loving life with a soul-mate who happens to be the same gender.
Instead feel happy that I have found love that I hope you have with your wife. Please wish your grand-children happiness, too, knowing that - if one of them is gay - you now know they will be all right in work as well as in love.
(GAY is short for 'Good As You', a protest message that sprang from pride marches many decades ago)
"Sexual Diversity", "Gender Expression", "Gender Identity", those are good words to google. While working at an online bank in Toronto, I learned that the diversity policy did not include sexual oreintation, as it was considered offensive to Islam, Christianity etc, as many of he employees were new immigrants from the middle east, pakistan, and india, where gays are not considered human.
Thus Diveristy policies that do not include homosexuals are usually just covers for biogots at work.
Very good Presentation Nick.I am a Married White Guy who loves football and beer, personally I work with a guy who is Out at Work and funnily enough he does "favours" for 2 bi guys who work there.
Hey no problem - I will have to manage such responses in the Tesco workplace (if not said to my face!).
Statistically there should be more gays, women, asians etc in management but where are they?
Tesco is pursuing diversity because they may be accidently turning away talent from minorities because those people don't bother to apply because they don't think they would be welcome.
Tesco needs 'the best' to continue growth and cannot afford to turn away ANYONE capable of doing a great job.
Euh...since when is sexual orientation, sex or race an indication of being a good manager?
Isn't it more to do with competence, capacity, skills, understanding, ruthlessness?
There are French laws ensuring equal representation of Women and men on election candidate lists. But the reality is that politics are not something that most women want to do!
It's just white heterosexual males dominate in business. All I'm trying got do is get some gays up there. too. to be role models (and what about non-whites, women, disabled people, etc?)
You already have your role models at the top of business. Your group was always already formed!
Hi there Im gay and Iv'e worked for tesco for about 7 years. I was full time but I'm now at college so I work part time in the petro filling station at Tesco Extra Blackpool. I think everyone nows Im gay but your right when they ask me questions about my life I lie about my answers worried about what they would think. Anyway has any of this stuff you have done, taken off a all? craig
you should quit trying to be gay and focus more on just being a human. do you honestly think most people these days give a shit about your sexual orientation? i don't think most ppl really give a toss and those that do are not really worth bothering with because if you weren't gay they FIND some other reason to hate you (eye colour, the cloths you wear, you name it). so pls, quit the fag-preaching, its boring
I think it just causes more divisions and more resentment among those outside of the "special" group. In my town recently there was a neighbourhood party (funded by a charity or something) for black/Asian/oriental people only. Can you imagine the uproar if I organised one for whites only?
It may be that these people are having problems such as getting racial taunts or worse and who thus decided to form the group you mentioned.
All you see is some weird clique that you are barred from being a member.
However you may be an accidental member of a 'whites only' group such as your footie team mates, drinking buddies, golf club etc. to which other racial groups are uninvited and unofficially barred.
Why does there have to be a gay group in every goddamn workplace? I thought the idea is that we all want to be treated as equals. Putting yourself into special groups does not achieve that. What next? Groups for women, groups for men, groups for Blacks, Jews, Asians, Christians, Poles, redheads? Come on!
Hi bundleHastings I think you miss the point, which is that members of minority groups lack role models in their organisations so they wonder why and consider whether there is a barrier to having a great career there.
That's why diversity groups spring up in many companies, to help mentor their members to go for promotion, etc.
And yes you can expect groups about gender (eg. women's network), ethnic origin (eg. asian network), sexual orientation (gay), religious/secular, disability, & more.
Being yourself is identifying one's gender, first of all. And living according to the gender God gave you. Same Sex Attraction can be overcome. If you really care about your life, you would care about where you'll end up at when God decides to take you out from this world. The choice He gave you to make. It's when we put ourselves FIRST in life, that we mess up. Heaven is alot better place than hell. Sin exists!
Interesting points - first you are saying that only what God gave you physically is important but what you were given mentally is unimportant, which doesn't sound right.
Same sex attraction cannot be 'overcome'. Trying to overcome it is like an extreme version of trying to overcome being right-handed. It just feels 'wrong'.
God? From evidence of the major causes of war, it's when you put your God first that we all mess up. I personally think the human race is better off with God.
Yes SAME SEX ATTRACTION CAN be overcome! I know those who have!War is the outcome of SIN.Of course those who Desire in doing what They want to do, whether it be living a perverted lifestyle, living as a prostitute, a murderer, a drug dealer, they all would say that, because they don't know God.For many it takes that they hit rock bottom before their eyes even start to open.Yes, it takes sometimes tragedies to wake the people up. When it doesn't, it is because their still fleeing in the unknown.
What utter shite... I couldn't give a shit if you are gay or not. I'm not homophobic, I'm not whatever the opposite of beign homophobic is, I work in Tesco and I just want to work with people who will work with me & others. You are not different Nick than any other Tesco employee.. Attention Seeking Gay Network, I Don't care.. I'm here to do a job, regardless of your backround. If other members of staff comment on your orientation, well then they're idiots.
Hi Maltapope, I think you need to read the comments from RobNorthampton and maybe you will understand.
If gay people cannot get on at Tesco because of the attitude of their manager toward their sexual orientation then that is a problem. It's great that you don't mind about your colleagues' sexual orientation - what I want is for that to be the attitude of everyone which, alas, is not always the case.
My gay partner works at tesco Northampton and is out. He is not camp and gets along with everyone he meets. He was bullied by a homophobic manager, who said numerous comments over a prolonged period of time such as "What's taking you so long out here? I suppose you're trying to fuck him, are you?", in relation to another work colleague.
When the Store Manager was informed, he accused my partner of causing trouble. The Store Manager himself has even made sideswipe comments, so who the hell are you supposed to seek justice from? At one point, we had our lesbian friend who is a highly respected and competent lawyer specialising in Human Resources draft out a complaint, but my partner, in fear of losing his livelihood, chose not to pursue it.
Hi RobNorthampton. I am sorry that your partner had such problems at work. Both the Everyone At Tesco team and myself are working to make such attitudes are a thing of the past. I would be grateful if your partner could contact me through Youtube mail to get my email address and I'll see what I can do to help him (in confidence of course).
Please know that Tesco HQ is aware of some problems with attitude and we are here to sort it out.
Tesco probably sell live turtles in china because in over there it is considered a delicassey! They are contrubuting to their culture by selling the animals they eat over there!
id think it would be wrong of Tesco is they didnt sell the food of the chinese within china, and instead reinforce western world foods on a country that prefers their own taste.
i think this video by the way, is really inspiring for gay people who wish they could come out.
ur in the wrong job bud. i think tv presenting is more ur thing. id love to see my managers face if someone asked him to put up one of those posters hehe
I can't comment on selling live turtles in China (except don't believe everything you see or read!). Besides you probably shop at Morrisons because of the staff discount!
I'll get in touch with Morrisons and ask them for a clear statement on how they look after lesbian and gay staff (in fact I'll do it with all the supermarkets). It would be good to see their reaction.
Hi - no they haven't replied yet but I'm on their case! I'm preparing a video on the outcome of this investigation!
Actually I want all Tesco rivals to come back saying they have an active action to look after lesbian and gay staff. I want Tesco to be employer of choice because it is a great place to work, and not because it's the only supermarket doing something about problems faced by lesbian and gay staff.
absolute rubbish i had nothing but trouble working for tesco and purely because im gay tesco have no time for anyone that are gay its about time someone done something about the homophobic head office staff
But, this is done for people who want to be themselves but feel uncomfortable doing so.
It's not there for people to shout out about their sexuality, it's there for them to feel more confident and happy being a at work knowing they can be themselves, with no hassle.
HI urbex2007 - it's all about being able to 'be yourself' whatever your sexual orientation (or race, gender, etc) and that you trust and respect each other as a result. It's also about being able to get on with your career in Tesco without fear of prejudice, and No if people dislike others they should not be able to exercise their dislike in the workplace.
that was a gr8 vid, i work at the tesco in long eaton Nottingham and there are only 2'out' Gay men. I'm sure there are more trying to hide (my gaydar tells me) and the work you are doing could help them alot. Im trying to get on the management (options) and I am afraid that they will make it impossible for mw to get on because im gay, they have already gave me excuses which don't add up because they have let other people through (who are straight). Good luck with your campaign
your poster and the quotes on it helped to identify how homophobia exists on a subtle level... internalized but emanating from the external... a difference we can hide and deny our whole lives... us lgbt folks will be the ones to change this, by living out and proud... eventhough i don't live this way i know it's true...
Hi ThatBitchEve, thanks for your feedback. I think rather than being 'out and proud' in the workplace, it's just a case of being yourself. If your colleagues chat about what they did at the weekend, you can chat about what YOU did at the weekend! That's what I do. It's not 'in their face' it's just me describing what I did as they described what they did!
hey like the add i also work in tesco talbot green near cariff and this little shit is taking the piss out of me so one day i want to throw it back in his face so please email me if you have got msn messenger leave me ur email and i will add you thanks bye for now.
Ive never found it to be an issue working at Tesco (and I have done for over 5yrs in England and 2 yrs in Scotland) There are plenty of GLBT staff in Tesco some are OUT but not sure about others. So this group does sound good in all stores.
Thanks for the video! The world needs more people speaking out on the benfits of being out at work. In Canada we are protected under the law. however this does not make it any easier to be out. Luckily I have been able to be out work for 10. Can't imagine it any other way. Recently I read a book for gay manager and the talents they bring which I highly recommend: The G Quotient by Kirk Snyder. Michael P p.s. I love long and hope to visit again soon and will make sure I support Tesco.
As Christians, we take what people say about us even if they do not like us or agree with us. At least three mistakes.
1.it's not 6%, only 1.5%.
2. A man does not have a "husband", he has a partner. Husband and Wife are one flesh. Two men are not.
3. Homosexuals do not have "weddings", only civil partnerships.

Positive discrimination is still discrimintion, isn't it?
Is labelling people visibly really an aid at work or does it encourage visible segregation?
What are straights afraid of when they find a workmate likes men... ?

The important difference here is that it's not discrimination but mentoring that's important.
Gay people need to know that they are welcome to get on at Tesco and sometimes need to be given the confidence to pursue their career when they see on;y 'straight white men' at the helm.
However once they have applied for the job, everyone seeking that post is treated equally. This network exists to help people apply for, not get, the job. The best candidate for the job will get the job.

I'm sick of hearing about peoples sexuality in everyday life, just say what you are and get bloody on with it.
cosmicrayturbo 2 years ago
Anyone can belong to the group 'everyone' but unfortunately in the real world not 'everyone' is treated equally.
I have found (and Tesco is working on) that sometimes people can be bullied for being gay. 'Out at Tesco' is not a focus group but a support group to give gay people a place to go for help.
Sometimes gay people don't go for promotion because of a belief they wouldn't get the job. This group helps gay people have the confidence to get on at Tesco.
Does this help you understand?
nicklansley 2 years ago
Look I don't want to sound to aggressive but I'm sure you can at least understand how minority groups specifics right and needs and requirements can irritate the broader masses when their cause is constantly touted seemingly at our expense and exclusion. Your sexuality doesn't interest me very much as it wouldn't for any workmate. I just don't see the relevance between your sexuality and your work ability. I'm straight and it doesn't factor in my job so why the fuck should your homosexuality?

...what about the hopes and fears of straight people? Since when did being gay become the most important thing at work? Gay or straight, all the same to me and I treat all with the same respect. Why do gay people make such an issue of being gay?
mjd775 3 years ago
Hi mjd775 this is such a good question!
Until that wish is true, gay people *should* make an issue out of being gay.
nicklansley 3 years ago
I do not discuss who I am.
That is because being myself has cost me more then it ever should.
I grew up in a large family and except for my two sister's the rest of them treat me like I died.
They hang up when I call and have told family friends I died in a accident.
So that is why being who you are is important.
It allows you the dignity to be able to live your life with love and respect.

Gays and Lesbian are under fire by the religious right.
These people would round up gay people and imprison them or burn them at the stake.
This is the reason we must lead by example to stand up for our rights and to tell others I am What I am.
The religious people want to be free of us move to a island and don't come back.

Hi templarmantle,
You are correct I have not worked nights, I work for "Express" and we cover all shifts over 7 days a week, 364 days a year, I personaly have never come across what you describe, but with the help of people like Nick promoting this then what "You" have experienced will hopefully become a thing of the past, but we are all entitled to our own opinions and it is unfortunate that "you" feel that way, I can only comment on myself and those I have worked with who feel the same.

i respect your opinion and your right to be whe you want to be but nick seems to be promoting tesco , this is practicly yet another tesco advert , tesco ride roughshod over staff , customers and suppliers simply to make money wake up and smell the coffee before you wake up in tescoland , to the grassroots to get the real story

Radhnaill, it is hate (mostly but not completely brought on by religious narrowmlndness) that has always polluted and perverted the world.

God Bless

It's just white heterosexual males dominate in business. All I'm trying got do is get some gays up there. too. to be role models (and what about non-whites, women, disabled people, etc?)

you should quit trying to be gay and focus more on just being a human. do you honestly think most people these days give a shit about your sexual orientation? i don't think most ppl really give a toss and those that do are not really worth bothering with because if you weren't gay they FIND some other reason to hate you (eye colour, the cloths you wear, you name it). so pls, quit the fag-preaching, its boring

I think it just causes more divisions and more resentment among those outside of the "special" group. In my town recently there was a neighbourhood party (funded by a charity or something) for black/Asian/oriental people only. Can you imagine the uproar if I organised one for whites only?
bundleHastings 3 years ago
Now that's a very good point.
Social psychology - fascinating subject...!
nicklansley 3 years ago
Why does there have to be a gay group in every goddamn workplace? I thought the idea is that we all want to be treated as equals. Putting yourself into special groups does not achieve that. What next? Groups for women, groups for men, groups for Blacks, Jews, Asians, Christians, Poles, redheads? Come on!
bundleHastings 3 years ago
Hi bundleHastings I think you miss the point, which is that members of minority groups lack role models in their organisations so they wonder why and consider whether there is a barrier to having a great career there.
That's why diversity groups spring up in many companies, to help mentor their members to go for promotion, etc.
And yes you can expect groups about gender (eg. women's network), ethnic origin (eg. asian network), sexual orientation (gay), religious/secular, disability, & more.
nicklansley 3 years ago
Being yourself is identifying one's gender, first of all. And living according to the gender God gave you. Same Sex Attraction can be overcome. If you really care about your life, you would care about where you'll end up at when God decides to take you out from this world. The choice He gave you to make. It's when we put ourselves FIRST in life, that we mess up. Heaven is alot better place than hell. Sin exists!
vaemam 3 years ago
Hi vaemam.
I personally think the human race is better off with God.
nicklansley 3 years ago
Yes SAME SEX ATTRACTION CAN be overcome! I know those who have!War is the outcome of SIN.Of course those who Desire in doing what They want to do, whether it be living a perverted lifestyle, living as a prostitute, a murderer, a drug dealer, they all would say that, because they don't know God.For many it takes that they hit rock bottom before their eyes even start to open.Yes, it takes sometimes tragedies to wake the people up. When it doesn't, it is because their still fleeing in the unknown.

maltapope 4 years ago
Hi Maltapope, I think you need to read the comments from RobNorthampton and maybe you will understand.
If gay people cannot get on at Tesco because of the attitude of their manager toward their sexual orientation then that is a problem. It's great that you don't mind about your colleagues' sexual orientation - what I want is for that to be the attitude of everyone which, alas, is not always the case.
nicklansley 4 years ago
My gay partner works at tesco Northampton and is out. He is not camp and gets along with everyone he meets. He was bullied by a homophobic manager, who said numerous comments over a prolonged period of time such as "What's taking you so long out here? I suppose you're trying to fuck him, are you?", in relation to another work colleague.
RobNorthampton 4 years ago
When the Store Manager was informed, he accused my partner of causing trouble. The Store Manager himself has even made sideswipe comments, so who the hell are you supposed to seek justice from? At one point, we had our lesbian friend who is a highly respected and competent lawyer specialising in Human Resources draft out a complaint, but my partner, in fear of losing his livelihood, chose not to pursue it.

HI urbex2007 - it's all about being able to 'be yourself' whatever your sexual orientation (or race, gender, etc) and that you trust and respect each other as a result.
