I'd suggest that you guy's should stop asking questions and just watch it. It's a great drama/sci-fi and I highly recommend it. I like Last Exile too and they can some what compare, but this story has much more depth despite being only 90 mins long. If you like flying and stories, you should watch this.

BTW, this is not an adaptation of the manga, as the uploader comments tell you. The manga is an Adaptation of this, and was made about a year later.

i got few questions

is the guy at the beginning takuya or hiroki? because the way he talks about sawatari makes him look like hiroki but his face is like takuya?

Second: what was sawatari losing? and hiroki said that you can rebuild it at the end?

@qudratzazai answer to your second question ...the thing she was loosing was her memory ,when she was dreaming only memory she had was about the promise and she wanted to tell hiroki how much he loves him but when she woke up she said she has something to tell him but now its gone ,so hiroki tells her that she can rebuild her memories cuz their life is just begining.....

"beyond the clouds, the promised place" is actually a more correct translation of the japanese title ("Kumo no mukou, yokusoku no basho")
