  • Does anyone know what key signature the Erhu is in?

  • @Shazamio A and D, both forth octave. You can look it up in Wikipedia, at the end you can get many links to erhu music.

  • What year was this?

  • @Tenifus 2007.

  • Didn't think I wanted to hear something that wasn't traditional Chinese as I learn more about the erhu, but how wonderful this was! Makes you feel like you're actually at a horse race... Very fun; bravo!

  • @boatsafloatseattle I think the song is chinese... Correct me if I am wrong. Do you know who composed this?

  • I love this song!! :L x

  • Really great! I get goose bumps every time when I hear her CD Blurring Boundaries!

  • Bravissima!

  • I'm not a musician but this is music that anyone can enjoy and have fun with. I have heard Yang Ying perform in more formal concert settings, so it was fun to see her in this funk/pop style. She offers much to us in the West as we appreciate and bring new sounds into our music repertoire. Many thanks!

  • Amazing blend of east meets west

Should be labelled as "Horse racing" would be more correct

For those.. the scratchy part was intend to mimic the horse neigh.. she does it pretty well.

The volume is suppose to be as it is .. though I would agree that her part's a tad too soft

didnt know anione can pull it off with a guitar.. and its not merely translating over but an incredible fusion that would require extensive knowledge of both instruments or at least both eastern and west rn mix

  • Her Elixir CD is perfect for use in moving or meditating; Blurring Boundaries for energizing and inspiring. She has tremendous versatility and talent.

  • Wow. Can't wait to hear her Blurring Boundaries CD!

  • not only she is a great musician, she's a great person who loves to share her knowledge.

  • The secret's out--great music in Champaign-Urbana. Her CD is wonderful: all kinds of music on it, from traditional Chinese to modern jazz. Excellent playing by everyone.

  • East meets West... For sure Yang Ying is the Jimmi Hendrix of the Erhu. Love the fact Yang is is Mick Jagger and Rolling Stones Fan...Rock On !!
