My old guitar teacher went to high school with the guitar player for Matchbox 20 but they went different paths because the guy in Matchbox 20 got into M.I. Thats how he got into Matchbox 20. And my teacher just has 30 years of experience.

yeah instead of G use Abminor, and instead of the Cadd9 use Dbminor add9, and instead of the D use Eb (a half step higher of every chord since the capos on the first fret)

there is a way to play without the capo. just play normally on the frets she's showing you. it sounds just about the same just a half step up from where she is playing!

First chord progression: G=DuDu switch Cad9=D~DDuDu

When the words come switch to D second chord progression: D= DDuuDu switch Cad9= DDuuDu

~=pause hopefully this helped it is a simplified version but if you learn it slowly then speed it up it will sound good :)

this is a good tutorial...its helped me. ill have to agree with StackofNosiesFrtMn though and say not only is your strumming way off but it isnt a Cadd9 in the chorus. i think the first 23 seconds get you a lot of compliments because you look pretty damn hot. like i said though, good tutorial

Ok well i no u said u strum what u hear but your strumming pattern isnt even on time with the song. also during the chorus he doesnt play a Cadd9 i think its just a C major i would have to listen but im possitive it isnt a Cadd9.
