2-Mauryan empire(42%)

3-Macedonian empire(40%)

4-Qing empire(39%)

6-Roman empire(33%)

whereas mongol empire ruled over 25%(100-110million in 1290-1300) of world population at its maximum extent which dont qualify it as world greatest empire.

@lexyboo52 This movie is mostly drama. So I would say 2 in blood. This movie is not like most war movies. This is not to show alot of fancy fighting and war. Its more to show the drama around Genghis Khan and his wife Borte. Its better if you love brotherhood and romance if youre gonna watch this movie. Dont sit around and wait for action. Even though there is some.

this is not truly Russian movie. budget of 4 countries including Kazakhstan, Russia, Germany and Mongolia was used. And most of the parts of movie were shoot in Kazakhstan, Mongolia and China. So u can't assume that this movie is Russian, For instance movie got 2007: Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film from Kazakhstan. And in the rest of awards and competition it was nominated as Kazakhstan movie.
