  • I had to go check the wattages. Yeah, the stock 67 bulb is about 8 watt. I wanted to make sure it was nice and bright in day time. The bulb I stuck in there had a 27 watt brake element. It's way brighter. I also used some aluminum foil to make a simple reflector. It helps. Painting the inside white might also work.

I just mention all this to make sure you stay safe out there.

Btw, how does that transmission work?

  • @JasonWW2000 Much appreciated my friend. Yes I prefer to ride while taking safety seriously. The transmission is actually really good for someone like me who isn't good with manual. It still "gets up and goes" relatively as efficiently as a manual but the gears might be proportioned ratio wise in such a way that it runs as good.

  • @JasonWW2000 I will try that foil or silver paint idea. I'll let you know how that goes. Thank you.

  • I used that same red clearance light for my brake light as well. On mine I replaced the stock 6 watt single filament bulb with a traditional dual filament brake light bulb. It has about a 6 watt running filament and an 18 watt brake filament.

Did you do the same or are you using the stock bulb in it?

  • @JasonWW2000 I am using the bulb that came with each fixture. I suppose there are higher wattage bulbs which I could swap out the current ones with but the ones you see in the video don't really show up just how bright they are in the daylight. My rear fender just came in and I've been installing it with the running light attached. I'll make a new video of it soon. Stay tuned.
